    I have to tell you; I honestly think some of it is the printer too. I had an ET-2400 and my colors were pretty good, and I thought the blacks were ok. Then it had some issues and I ended up buying a ET-2800 and discovered just how much better the ET-2800 is. It was the exact same ink used in both printers, but my prints were suddenly printing significantly more vibrant. I've been loving this little printer.

      Yes, I’m impressed with this printer! If you’re only doing smaller things and 20oz tumblers, it’s perfect! Thanks for watching!

    great review and comparison! I would have loved to see the original image to compare to the print/sublimation. Which ink do you feel most accurately repressed the original image? For example thew oranges in the pumpkin looked much more red in the cyclone honk and more orange on the cosmos ink. Freddys skin tones looked so much different in both subs as well. Thanks so much

    Wow. Love the ink. Will have to see how much they /if they, will ship to Canada. I love my Epson 2800. It's amazing!! I even to larger than 8.5x14 by cutting the image in half and taping together.

    Thank you for the great video ,the epson 2800 10 is popular over here in Australia but unfortunately we can’t purchase that brand of ink
    Would you be able to sometime do a video with sublimation settings start to finish on the epson 2800 with the Mac please

      There’s really not a lot of settings! I print at 100% (because all of my files are designed to print that way), I use the Plain Paper option, and I put the quality to the far right, Best. I believe I have a quick screenshot in the video. That’s it! No color profile or anything else!

    I have the 2800 and have been sublimating a couple weeks. I am struggling to get my sizing right as I can't seem to figure out how to specify exactly what I want. Any tips?

    Hello Roy, could you do a video about how to calculate costs for sublimation? I get lost at how long I can expect the ink and machine to last

      That’s actually a great suggestion! It may take a while, but I’ll put it on the list of videos to make!

    WOW! very impressive! are you using any other specific color settings with your Mac? Color sync or Epson Colors? I am using the epson 15000, still trying to tweak my colors.

    • @industrialfringe953
      @industrialfringe953  11 місяців тому

      I am not! Cyclone Ink doesn’t require any profiles. Thanks for watching!

    Have you ever tried to change in brands and if so it it difficult? Should I simply get a new printer and start over? What I like to do if it would work would be to si.ple refill as needed with the new ink brand

    • @industrialfringe953
      @industrialfringe953  10 місяців тому

      I haven’t switched out inks, but I would imagine it’s as “simple” as running down the ink, then pulling the remainder out with a syringe, then adding new ink and running a bunch of purge pages to get the old ink through the lines.

    Now that its been a few months. Is the opinion on the ink still the same? I have a brand new printer waiting on ink. I currently have a set from hiipoo, but I came across Cyclone today and debating the switch.

    • @industrialfringe953
      @industrialfringe953  8 місяців тому

      Yep, it sure is! Most of my prints are still printed using the Cyclone ink. Only when I need a larger size or I’m needing to crank a bunch out will I use my other printer.

    Have you (or anyone reading this) ever had a problem with pink shadowing? I'm getting it on tumblers and shirts! I've adjusted temps, times and pressure. Even the air fryer and tumbler press 🤦🏼‍♀️ The only brand I have is A-Sub, I have 13x19 in #105 and #125 and they both have a pink shadow after pressing. The 8½x11 is #120 and is over a year old and presses without the pink! The pink is not visible until it's pressed. Any idea what's going on? How can I fix this??

      Also I'm using Hippo sublimation ink and an Epson 8550 (converted)

      Kimberly, I’ve not heard of this before. It sounds like you’re not having issues with the 8-1/2”x11” A-Sub 125, but the others. I can’t imagine you’d have to packages of paper that are both defective. Is it possible it’s ghosting from the paper being taken off before the tumbler/shirt has cooled enough? Definitely join the Facebook group and ask the question. There are some really smart people there! (All I ask is for you to answer the questions and agree to the group rules!)

    I use thos ink love it but my black keeps coming out brown.. i use asub paper have epson 15000

    • @industrialfringe953
      @industrialfringe953  8 місяців тому

      Brown typically means you’re overcooking. I’ve had great results with blacks using Cyclone, so you may want to try and lower time and/or temp.

    Sorry but Cosmos ink is pure trash including thier customer service. Will never support those people ever again. Thier inks also fade over time badly. Highly overated until you compare to other inks as you have done here then you see how much better other inks actually are.

      I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Cosmos Ink results, and I’ve been using them for a long time…BUT, this Cyclone in is just awesome! I’m definitely hooked on it!

      @@industrialfringe953 Since Cobra closed down I am also looking for new quality sub inks. Will take a look at Cyclone. Hoping to see more results from you. Thanks for the vid.
