I once met an old man who was 93. I told him I wouldn’t like to live to be 93, he replied ‘ you would if you were 92 ! ‘
that is genius!
PRICELESS wonderful response ;-)
@michael p Dr Sinclair promises both.... long lifespan plus health to the last breath
He was so right! My dad always said he would just like to go to Dignitas and end it all when he got old and doddery. He's 82 now and old and doddery and I see no sign of him wanting to make that trip, just a strong need to find out what condition he has (prob diabetes, which is odd as he's slim and cycled 100 miles a week the last 30 years!) and how to fix it!
K N Hi, diabetes is reversible with change of diet. Look in to it on you tube.
Good luck to your dad.
At the age of 80, I am on a 19 hr per day fasting window, exercising daily and taking Metformin. With luck I will make 100, thanks to Dr Since!air.
james papsdorf I bet you’ll live double your age now. 160 feeling 20 you got this!
@@INdikeness LOL
Just 100? Aiming kinda low aren't you? haha
Okay James, I'm with you! Im 79 and even though I have had asthma since a baby I do no meds and I don't eat until late afternoon. I do use a lot of herbs, vegetables and fruits. Distilled water, Himalayan salt, raw honey, gee and wild salmon. Occasional pizza, chilli and enchaladas on weekends. I hope to live and teach till I'm 120. I and my son are building a (somewhat compromised) Tiny House off-grid in Texas right now. Hope you'll visit me when I'm finished.
I am 200 yeas old and vegan
Financial books have been so helpful. >> I’m 54 and my wife 50 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. We got to realize that the secret to financial freedom is making better investments.
I read a book that talked about having a financial adviser. Well, Credits to ROCHELLE DUNGCA-SCHREIBER, she saw me through the process. You can glance her name up on the internet and verify her yourself. she has years of financial market experience..
I am 66, my wife and I are raising three foster children, 6, 8 & 9, and I need to live a long, healthy life to see them married and even see my grandkids. This helps. Thank you so much!

i am 63 and raising my grand child 9 and i need to live long time too. my grand mother lived to 101 so am hoping i have same genes.
Ed-I’ve watched David before but this is the first time I’ve watched you. I just wanted to write and say you’re a super cool dude. I appreciate your enthusiasm, your intellectual and emotional honesty, your humility, and sincerity. All the best!
Me too!! He’s a great interviewer. And David seemed at his very best. Relaxed and enthusiastic
This is youth
Yeah he is awesome hard to find just great positive enthusiastic human lives out there that's friend with a amazing scientist. Nonetheless were all PRETTY lucky to see these guys Act and live to tell these videos til this day.
You can't prevent death and judgment but you can live a healthy life. Focus on the things that are important.
Hard to live healthy poor
“One of the obligations/responsibility’s we all have is to create a life that we want to live longer for.” Thanks for that Ed!
I think this is one of the reason why Sinclair is aging more slowly lol.. you just cant get around (not)being fulfilled everyday
Like you can do everything well he's saying but if you are just staying depressed while implementing everything well on paper, its not gonna work is it?
It's not so much 'live long' that I seek, I want to be healthy and agile as long as I live...be it 60 or a 100.
That mindset will evolve as you approach 60 I'm sure
True this is what I wish.
Pre Rona this was the goal living long n healthy. Post rona the goal is dying quick if you got a fucked body lol.
It may not seem like you don't care if you live to 60 or 100 but you will when you're 59.
Ok buddy say that again when you are 70
I love David Sinclair. I’ve watched nearly all his talks and he seems the most comfortable and happy in this interview 🤗
WhiteWolf 11 Agree this is the best I’ve seen so far.
Thank you. He’s become a dear friend
What is anti-aging drug that he recommended??
Christie Camizzi that’s awesome!! I’m doing mostly the same, minus the cold therapy. Question: which NMN brand are you taking? I have an NMN that I got from Amazon (seems legit but I still question it) and then I also have NR by the brand Elysium.
@Christie Camizzi Great thanks I will check them out! :)
I love Ed - definitely among the top show hosts on the internet. Such an engaging host with really good questions and genuine interest.
Thank you so much for the massive love and support! What's 1 thing you would have asked him if you could?
EdMylett !!! You’re an inspiration brother. Thanks for that, and for asking.
I’d ask him how many people don’t want to take the medical tests once they are told they can know exactly when they’ll die. Would you want to know? The mind is a powerful thing - not sure that’s a thought I’d want to meditate on.
Ed, I would ask him what options do I have for my 2 year old boy with osteogenesis imperfecta, (brittle bone disease)
He’s missing the gene entirely that creates collagen. I’m on a mission to make his life the best I can.
It sounds like he’s had experience with genes etc. I get changing them via epigenetics, but is it possible to add a gene that is missing? Or have his body produce it in another way?
Chelsea , I truly hope your mission is a success! You sound like a great mom. Stay strong and may God bless your endeavor to find a solution. 🙏🏼
@@EdMylettShow one question would have been; There are stories in the Bible of people living hundreds of years old. Is there any links from those times to now?
This is one of the most inspirational interviews i’ve heard with Dr Sinclair! I feel the joy and passion of his mission in this interview ! His information has given me the hope i had lost in the past few years. I’m 57 years old and started seeing aging in my 40s that i’ve gone to many doctors for, and they would all just say “ it’s part of getting older there’s nothing we can do about it” 🤯😓
I am hopeful and feel I have more inspiration to take my physiology, my mind, and purpose to being here to another level than I have in a long time. I had lost hope before. 🥺
I’m so grateful to find Dr. Sinclair’s messages and the pyrenees of his hearts mission is felt when he shares.
This is the first time i’ve seen your podcast Mr Mylett, Thank you for the interview!!! Thank you for being a bright light to bring information forward to the rest of us!! God bless you🙏🏻💖✨✨✨ Juhl Valecourt
Amen brother 🙏
I've seen multiple interviews and speaking events with David Sinclair and this interview was by far the best. I was already excited about his findings, but this really went up in levels. I will share this interview with others. Honestly, I have never heard of you until now, but now I'm a subscriber. Thanks
You got to respect a man like david Sinclair blessings us with his knowledge for more or less free of charge he could of happily kept his knowledge to himself but showed real care for humanity great person and unforgettable soul nice interview ed also 👍
This shows gross misunderstanding of the concept of entropy.
Martyr4JesusTheChrist
Wait... your username is JesusChrist and you call this guy a fraud? The irony.........
One of the best, if not THE best interviews I've seen, with just exactly the answers I've been searching for for decades. I will be reading the book for sure.
I have never heard of Ed Mylett. But obviously he's famous and an accomplished guy. I really enjoyed Ed's genuine personality!!
This was one of the best Dr Sinclair interviews. Great questions and topics!!
THANKS!
Great interview and very informative. I would add another component to extending your life and that is in the area of the psychological. Most of us come from dysfunctional families and as a result we carry emotional wounds from childhood that affect the quality of our lives in a negative way. In my view, we are PavlovIan creatures who have little free choice because what we choose is based upon prior input. This programming must be changed in order to find real freedom from the past. I am almost 89 and have discovered secrets about relationship, misplaced anger and deep emotional wounds that drag us down. We all carry baggage from the past. I emptied my bag over 40 years ago, and life has been great. It also has an affect on how well I have aged. Self perception is essential.
Just learned about Mr David Sinclair, he is such a brilliant and humble man. Amazing! ♥️
Ed this is great! I want you to know that I’ve listened to the podcast about “identity” about 10 times now and it is starting to dominate my everyday thinking! So grateful for your content
Wow. One of the best interviews I’ve seen. Absolute authenticity. Loved the questions about mental health. That has been my primary driver in longevity research and in general health. Thank you so much!
The best Dr Sinclair interview I’ve watched so far 👍🏻 I just admire him and his work ❤️ He is a real blessing to this world. Thank a lot Ed! 👋🏻
I’ve listened to dr Sinclair before but he’s super informative here. I’ve never heard you before but your a great interviewer. Thank you for your honesty, and commitment to others. Bringing up the problems family members might have and the applications for his research. I feel you could have made four other interviews about the subjects you covered. There was just so much. Dr Sinclair seemed so comfortable with you, talking to you like a brother. It made us all feel like family, you cared about of course and just wanted to inspire to be better and correct our mistakes. The most important thing I felt you spoke about was the results of these changes being living a pain free active old age. The misery I see older people go through was what made me draw the line on an undisciplined life. I’m ready to start a new chapter to my life and I want to thank you Ed for the encouragement your offering.
This is the best interview David has done. Congrates to Ed..you Rock.
We are indebted to you ,David. You are working non stop to help all of us to live healthier and longer. Thank you.
What a miraculous blessing. You both inspired my heart, which means so much to me. I shared your inspirational message with my 18 year old daughter. How exciting for her generation too!
Hello Ed! I've followed David's work for a while. Let me tell you that this is the best interview I've ever seen with David Sinclair. Your input is amazing the way you connect a very complex topic with the general public is just UNIQUE. You made me dream high, I got goosebumps a few times and tears too!!!!! Keep up with the great work and please keep up posted.
Saw Dr Sinclair on JRE and was blown away, Ed does an excellent job asking almost every question I would have. I started HRT after seeing Dr. Sinclair on JRE and have never felt better, this discussion just reaffirmed my commitment to HRT. great job!
dear Ed, this is an amazing interview , Ive seen many videos of david sinclair I have been following him for a while , but I just simply love how you approach the questions and put it in a simply context for all , also your genuine interest for the subject . I think this was the best interview of him. I think David seem very pleased being interview by you as well . Keep it going with your style.
I must say I’m very gladly surprised by the interviewer. Excellent questions, contagious energy as opposed to annoying interruptions and really informed comments. Amazing conversation! Bravo!
I have been following David Sinclair for a while now but I have to admit this is the most interesting and informative video I have seen thus far. I have also never heard of Ed Mylett before. Ed, you are now officially my favorite interviewer on UA-cam and new brother from another mother. Your sincerity, and outgoing nature is a breath of fresh air. Please keep on developing amazing content. Have an amazing week!
This was absolutely the best interview with Dr Sinclair I've ever heard. That's because of you and your interviewing skills. Thank you so very much.
Although this interview was nearly a year ago, I’m glad I decided to click and watch since I saw David Sinclair in a couple of other interviews. As someone else commented this was the best one thus far, and I have subscribed so that I can listen to more of your videos in the future. How lucky are you to have brilliant friends like Dr. Sinclair!
Your enthusiasm is infectious Ed, and of course I’m a huge listener to Dr Sinclair.
I’ve been on the same trajectory since my mid fourties, about 3 and a half decades ago.
I’m a former pro ski racer from back in the seventies when dual courses where the rage, did the endless winter thing, with winters in Vermont, racing and coaching at a private ski academy helping to cultivate young Olympic quality ski racers. Then summers in Chile racing on the South American circuit and coaching the Chilean national woman’s team in the early 70s, this also happened to coincide with the fall of Allende and the rise of the dictator Pinochet, and I was a front row witness of Allende’s supposed suicide by rockets launched from jet fighters.
Yes specific explosive strength with a focus on eccentric to isometric contraction in the right energy system and part of the ROM was paramount to power generation and specificity so I became obsessed with moment arms, force angles and myofibril enhancement systems, to maintain the ability of sliding filaments to cross-bridge and stay stronger for longer at the lengthened state. “ we must admit to the weakest before we can commit to the strongest”.So right away the focus was not on bodybuilding, although it did create some hypertrophy, but only enough to be sport specific, and ski racers are some of the strongest athletes on the planet dealing regularly with multiple G forces while traveling in excess of 70 mph.
Then came to the realization that yes the type of exercise was important but nowhere near as important as nutrition, remember this was in the 70s and up, so the whole focus back then was anti- oxidants.
Recently I’ve transitioned to a neurological approach with learning to train the brain and nervous system with fantastic results as far as regaining lost ranges of motion. Thanks Dr Eric Cobb and Z health.
Also now I’ve learned about the power of intermittent fasting and working out in a fasted state to accommodate a more efficient state of autophagy.
Grasping the concept of increasing brain plasticity, I started work as a pedicab operator on the Embarcadero in SanFrancisco about 6 years ago at the age of 67 and what a challenge that has been, you can only imagine.
So here we are, I’m feeling great at 73 and getting really excited about what Dr Sinclair is doing, but more important the reason he’s doing it.
There are so many scam artists including big pharma that this research in more valued to me, because the purpose isn’t instant capital gratification, although success will surely follow.
Ive never heard your podcast before but love your focus and enthusiasm.
I will subscribe to your channel.
Thanks.
Live long love strong,
Karel.
This interview gets an A++. Ed asked all the best questions at the right times and Dr. Sinclair (AS ALWAYS) provided thorough answers that most anyone can assimilate. Excellent interview, excellent people. Thank you.
I love this guy and Mr. Mylett. Not to mention him in other interviews, but he's telling the truth about this interview being the best one he's done. Much more professional in terms of the language used, alone. Thank you for keeping it clean and professional as always.
Wow, why am I just now seeing this video? "I've learned what a bad day is, and most days are not bad days'. Wow, that's a word right there. Thank Ed

There are no limits to our lifespan/longevity. Educate ourselfs to improve and live longer. Thank you for this program!
I LOVED that he asked him if he was afraid of dying! I don’t think you could’ve asked a more intuitive question to this man who probably appreciated the ingenuity of this interview.
Another amazing interview. I can’t wait to listen again. Definitely sharing with my team at work. As usual, thank you, Ed!
I really love this guy, for the scientific revolution he is doing, that will eventually change our lives dramatically. Dr Sinclair, thank you very much!
One of the best interview I ever watched on UA-cam! Interviewee and interviewer both are great. I will follow David Sinclair now.
This is by far the best interview I've seen of Dr. Sinclair. I've watched 20+ interviews of him over the last couple years and the questioner has a real stake in getting clear & thorough answers. And that motivates Sinclair to really lay it out and go down multiple pathways. I've learned shit here that isn't even mentioned in his book!
This is superb. I'm in Thailand taking over-the-counter 850-mg Metformin, very cheap, and I've been even more encouraged by what he's saying. Wish this interview was 3 hours!

David Sinclair has done a lot of interviews but that was by far the best Ed. Well done to you, really brilliant & so exciting. Cheers
I own and have read Dr. Sinclair's LIFESPAN, and you were able to add a layer of clarity and depth in your discussion together that I truly appreciate. Thank you, just an excellent video.
If you don't have acsess to NMN or NR, is it still a good idea to supplement directly with NADH?
It says it should be taken on an empty stomack in the morning, and perhaps I can fast as well for a few hours after consuming it.. And then break fast with a little meal, and add reservatrol and quercetin etc. to enhance the effects? Will that still be good? (Using NAD supplement, instead of NMN or NR, is basically what im asking). And if so, how can I best enhance the effects?
Sign me up for the human trials!
The million dollar question, who makes and where can we get NAD and Resveratrol that is actually effective?
Thanks for the upload and interview. Dr Sinclair is extremely impressive and I love the fact he genuinely wants to help humanity!
Thank you Ed for this video! I am more optimistic about humanity and our health after watching your great video it was so good, David is working on some great stuff he’s ahead of his time! TY

watched many of the interviews you do but this one had me captivated for the whole hour! Amazing!
I just turned 70 and listening to that interview made me feel hopeful of all the advances in science that can be of help to mankind. Let’s just not forget that we have a God above who made man in his image and likeness thus equipping man to come up with these discoveries. God is the source of all knowledge and man must always acknowledge Him. That is also the answer to being happy on this earth and into the next life FOREVER.

This video was awesome and crazy interesting. I was watching while walking on the treadmill, got off, and started taking notes.
Two very likeable professionals that I will be following. Thank you for taking the time to upload...much appreciated and Hello from Ohio!
12:39 - Wow, this was an amazing interview!
Life of being inconsequential is worst than death" Wow! that is heavy!
It could never be inconsequential to have lived as a human being, in my opinion. As long as we are part of at least a little bit more good than bad, it should be worth it.
It's also bullshit.
@CARINA I like your outlook. I think we would have such a better experience if we were more involved in our biology than just depending on scientists that are either under assisted, underqualified, or over ambitious to sell snake oil. When we follow these folks we have a better understanding than the lay person on this science. We need to add more value ourselves by providing some intellectual creativity that they may not possess. That is if we want to get more out of this existence other than obeying this natural law and the law of sociopathic man. Tell me what you think.

So great to see a scientist have the same passion and bring it to the world! Thank you both for be-ing super hu ( god) mans. Much love
Wish I knew about this shit in my twenties. I experimented similar to what Sinclair recommends just for the challenge of it but by now I would've tried to invent something biologically. Might have had something created by now to make our lives much more convenient. Lord knows we need all the help.
Absolutely these are angels from heaven
4 years late finding this Priceless, Transformative, Inspirational Interview!!! Thanks Ed Mylett!!!
I feel that you are happier when you work in philanthropy....
Loving what you do.
Saw Ed Mylett on IT and he made me cry talking about his experience in the gym with the obese woman. Def gained alot of respect from me. I'm a fan of David Sinclair and to see that Ed is too and how much he values and researched his guest just ups his already high stock significantly in my eyes. This and the Joe Rogan podcast with David are by far the best ive seen for value extraction from him for different reasons.
Really good job.
If you stan sinclair look into Dr. Rhonda Patrick and her channel @foundmyfitness. She ofre. covers longevity topics.
@@jamescraig9045 thanks James ive looked into Rhonda Patrick and was really impressed. A great guest for Ed (in my opinion) would be either her, Dr Matthew Walker or Dr Jason Fung. I'm sure Ed has a much better idea of how to run this type of channel than me but those guests on the couch with Ed would prob blow my mind.
