This is incredible, awesome job! The walking looks so fluid and organic it's hard to believe it's SE. I know you haven't put this on the workshop since it isn't user friendly, but if you ever do that would be awesome and I'd love to use it on a mech
so, if i had to guess, the script takes the current speed of the mech and uses it to alter the walk cycle speed to avoid the feet slipping? That's a really cool concept if so
@@saga7835 if you want to use timers to do it there is a UA-cam channel called black armour that has a few old tutorials as well as a tutorial world on the workshop
It's all controlled by a single programmable block. The script is reading the cockpit's input values which allows me to control it with the movement keys.
I made this just for fun, I may or may not upload it at some point. Right now it's not very user friendly, there are no instructions and I change the animation and settings directly from the code, and I'd rather not deal with all the cries for help from people trying to comprehend my spaghetti code :D
@@laihela It'd be cool if you did eventually release it as some sort of project file so that people could still take a look at it and try to learn something from it.
The rotor angles are controlled by a 2 dimensional angle list, rows being each rotor and columns being the angle over time. The animation speed is controlled by cockpit input and the ship velocity. The crouch animation is a separate angle list with just one angle for each rotor, activated whenever C is pressed.
Nini: h.. hi💖 I.. I think your mech script is really good and I was wondering what the current state of the script is?💖 I.. I am eager teat it with my mechs and give you feedback on it to help you improve it💖

YES even if I had to use the Original mech as a base it would be amaizing to build my own from that!
will this script become available on the workshop? its really cool
I started to wonder where I heard this music before, and I must say it's an excellent choice. Mechwarrior 4 was great.
Just getting into SE and that mech was super smooth! Thanks for the video!

Amazing work! Im also working on the skeleton of a mech (something like a gundam), but I dont have idea how to make it walk
I got one to walk 3 steps just by luck
How do you build Mechs? I’m actually struggling please help
@@unsaretributionweaponsengi4273 I was just building a skeleton of a mech with rotors and hinge, but I don't now how to make it walk 😅
@@saga7835 o no

Really amazing
Totally looked like mechassault at the start of the video
Was the mech controlled through keyboard inputs, or was it all automated with the script? This doesn't look like it used timers.

when is it gonna be released
Prawn suit?
were can i get one!!!!!!
What resources would you recommend to get started scripting in SE?.
Is this blueprint available on xbox? Im gessing no because of the script. I need to figure how to copy this movement on my BattleTech Axman im working
oh man imagine deploying 10 of those on planets just for mining or even combat.
dang that looks like a cool script, is it on the workshop? or is it still in the making?
Awesome
Can we get our hands on this?
Maybe you could have the script tell the joints to use the same actions/animations that the engineer uses that the game already has!
That looks awesome! Is there any chance to get my hands on the script? :P
Either way keep up thr great work!

How does the knee work? Did you make it draw ellipse with a formula or is it scripted to go up while the hip is moving forward?

I get it now, thanks
We are closer to ED209's!! it would be cool to make them patrol autonomously.
Hey, is this script on the workshop? You should add your link in the description for your workshop! 🤘
I would pay 5 euros for that!
Also how much performance does the script suck?
