There’s little bugs like this across ALL COD games. For instance putting a silencer on the G3 in COD4 is actually bad for your melee or putting a Red Dot on the AK47 actually makes the gun do less damage but is much more accurate. In the OG MW3 putting a silencer on the ACR made it shoot faster but obviously gave it slightly more recoil. Little quirks like these is what makes the customization feel more in depth.

There’s numerous attachments that are bugged to negate the affected ads zoom option. Notably the thermal holo, it’s been that way since MWII so it’s either intentional or they don’t give a shit about fixing it.

Probably a bug. You can just change the ads zoom option in the settings anyway
