Have a feeling that COD wants to bring those forgotten weapons like the PU-21 and Gepard PDW to media culture rather than overusing the iconic weapons like the PKM, RPK, or aks-74u.
Nah there using these because of the licensing required for the PKM, RPK and AKS-74u is probably too expensive for them since there pretty iconic guns, using something like the Gepard which are less known would make it easier to acquire whatevers needed to use them in game, also California passing laws that make using proper names and 1:1 recreations really difficult
Ah okay, that makes some sense, but raises the question, why aren't they using them in game, are they still required to pay to use them or that it's a California law issue?
I miss CODs old feeling of military culture that used to be laced into it back in the day. Where there was two factions in a map that was themed around where they fought with period accurate weapons and attachments. (of which there were plenty in the 90’s) We really couldn’t have had British SAS fighting Iraqi Army forces on SCUD? Delta Force fighting Russian Spetznaz or something? US Army/Marines? Save the outlandish skins for Warzone or give us a setting to turn them off like Halo MCC did for gods sake, I don’t want to play Fortnite 3.0
4:05 Sorry, it's not "Zentico", it's "Zenitco" It's an adaptation of a Russian "Зенитка", which is kinda the company's name, but is used only as a trademark, since the official name is "Зенит".
I can understand the copium of "oh, don't worry, this is an alternate timeline to explain why black ops 2 was so advanced" but it's really silly. It was a piece of media from the 2010s, everyone expected the 2020s to be really cool.
@Randomly_Browsing related to what? How is the copium related to weapon inaccuracies? How is BO2 related to BO6? How are the 2010s related to fictional 2020s?
Kinda funny how China of all nations, known for their censoring, put out delta force, which although being somewhat of a copy of bf2042 has a lot more pleasing firearm design and attatchments.
Although i don't mind fictional guns, when I do want to play with more realistic depictions, i like playing some shooters produced outside of the USA, or indie shooters where they at least seem to have perfect depictions of guns, I mentioned before: Ready or Not, Insurgency Sandstorm, even Battlefield 2042 is a bit closer, with the Avancys (Based on the FN Herstal EVOLYS) with the real life unique swivel reload in game depicted, and that weird pistol that fires P90 magazines, the KelTec P50 with the weird hinged reload top cover, MW3 had a made up gun that kinda looked like it, called the Static-HV.
these "things wrong with guns" vids always give me mixed feelings. on one hand, i do understand the frustration about guns in fps games with strange or incorrect features. on the other hand, cod has the legal issue where they can't copy paste actual guns into their game (fuck you karens who cant differentiate reality from games)
@@LowPing156 yeah recently companies in general want to be paid for their gun appearing in games back then early 2010s it didnt really matter because FPS game were still getting popular
ill always chuckle at the L1911 being made in a garage and sent to the ministry of defense as a joke only for it to be soo good it was taking seriously
Im still surprised that the PU-21 got any media presence at all. This is the first time I've seen this abandoned prototype in anything. I knew it existed but never so much as seen a Fallout mod or anything with it. Most gamers probably never seen it ever.
I feel like Treyarch really wants to stick to the 2000's in terms of weapons and attachments, but they are afraid that a game set in that timeline would make seems like another Modern Warfare game, hence loosing their signiture setting and style. At this point, they should just go back to the future. It is easier to sell us guns in 2050 from 2010 and make new whacky ones as we would say its fantasy now, which is easier to digest then... whatever they are doing now with already existing firearms. Altough, I bet in their future they still gonna ducktape every freaking weapon where they can.
1:03 interestingly if you look around a few of the Campagin Missions you can find AK 47s that were Gold plated. In some areas you may also be able to find an actual PKM. Both weapons are unusable. Just a small point out 4:32 it's GPMG not GMGP
@Randomly_Browsing yes that would be if those weapons were actually usablly however the ingame models either are reused or may have been built from scratch
9:09 What part of that gun is from an M16A4? I don't see a Picatinny rail in between the reciever and charging handle and the handguard is an A2 handguard wich as far as i know are all the differences in between the A2 and A4
@srt7248 the m16a4 specifically has a picatinny rail on its receiver from the factory. the in-game model has an a2 upper receiver with the carry handle cut off and a weaver rail bolted on instead (on which the a4-style detachable carry handle is mounted), so it's really closer to an m16a2 than an m16a4
@@averageaccidentalarsonist2149 I'm not argue about the ingame models, the op specifically said "A2 handguard which as far as i know are all the differences in between the A2 and A4" which is wrong.
Waiting for them to do COD "Civil War" and have it be a guerrilla vs State warfare situation in USA and for weapons we can just have everybody's shoddy meme rifles from youtube and tiktok a bunch of Finnish Mosin and Eastern bloc aks with mix and match parts kits, with the occasional Palmetto sabre of sturmgewehr and the occasional DDM4 in semi auto only with a crap furniture kit and a holographic red dot with no magnifier and backup irons. "Oops, you left your red doot on overnight and need batteries, pres X to switch to irons.
4 years of development and they still didn't care to do better research Although the truth is that realism in cod is a joke Just go play a simulator and that's it.
4:19 dude it's an *GPMG* not GMPG what is that? General Machine Purpose Gun? Also it's based on Ksp-58 i mean yeah it's still a MAG but instead of Belgian it is Swedish
9:53 I can understand fictionalizing guns, but this thing was butchered, honestly if they kept the bolt from the Cold War's version it would at least look OK, but nooo, they had to fucking change one of my favourite looking features on the AW series

@@atomic... Or because of warzone integration. They probably try to avoid duplicate weapons
Probably though that wasn't a concern when cold war was the new game, same with vanguard
The PKM, RPK and 74u are not subject to copyright as they were property of the Red Army back when it existed, same with all the other Soviet guns
