Please keep up the good work. I appreciate your attention to detail while you also pay attention to editing for time. Your videos bring me right into your work shop. Cheers. All the best.
I have the Mk I version. My biggest issue with it is I needed to buy the reamer because dogs were almost impossible to get out once they were inserted. I also got some of the "Revision Dogs" just in case I wanted to extend any of the hole locations. I had the remove the top and flip it over and use a mallet and piece of wood to remove them. The reamer solved the problem completely but I feel it should be in the kit in the first place. For finish I think the recommendation is to do the finish before drilling the holes.
Hi Andy, I also found the holes extremely tight, I put that down to applying finish after the event and getting some in the holes. Maybe a little of each? But defo on applying the finish afterwards. Live and learn. 👍
Man, this was such a stressful video to watch. At 7:08, I find myself yelling at the screen, "NO!!! NO!!!! NO, NO, NO ........ You've counted it all wrong!!!!" Luckily, you sorted it all out and I could relax again ......
@@ChristopherClaudioSkierka Hi Chris, I've just checked and can confirm mine is a really good fit, no noticeable slack at all. Is yours faulty perhaps? 😢😢
Save yourself the money and carefully mark out and drill the holes without this paraphernalia. It’s not rocket science and well within the scope of a competent DIY’er.
Yes, please do keep up the good work! It is a pleasure to watch your very relaxed presentations on good topics and with some precision!

Very thoughtful choice of where to put holes. I did too many! Obviously, went happy with the bit🥴
Hi Perley, the urge to dill them ALL OVER the bench was huge. 🤣👍

Hi Chris, that's two of us stressed out, I was feeling stupid as well though. 🤣👍
great workbench, can I ask where you got those red handle clamps that fit down in the 20 mm holes? I've been looking for those, do you like them?
Hi Chris, thank you. They came from Axminster Tools if memory serves, they're not bad. 👍
Add a spring to the drill bit 👍
Top idea.👍
Hi, did you find that there was a bit of play with the dogs when inserted into the orange part?
Hi Christopher, I really can't remember so I dig it out and have a look for you.
@@GTWoodshop thank you

Nicely detailed video. Is your workbench top too thick to allow you to use the Festool quick clamps?
Hi Dan, thanks. I don't think so I felt they were a little pricey at the time.
