Good evening everyone 😃 welcome or welcome back…and thanks for popping over 💙Nice simple one tonight! 🥔 I’ll join you down in the comments for a wee while 👇🙂
They look so delicious! Never met a potato I didn't like! I usually don't read the comments, but I did today. I'm surprised with the amount of critiquing of your demonstration video! No metal tongs? Don't need to boil the potatoes? They need their own channels. Lol SMH I just love watching your meals of the week, shopping hauls and cooking videos!
I think Cheryl's videos are great. She's a home cook who enjoys showing us her delicious meals that she makes. Some people, ' shouldn't use that ' or 'shouldn't do that' well nothing wrong with the way Cheryl does things
Since my wife was diagnosed with a serious illness I have been doing or rather trying to do all the cooking, but when I came across your channel all my problems were solved. I thank you for your recipes and easy to understand instructions. You have really saved me you do not realise how grateful I am. Thank you once again..
Growing up, our roast tatties were made from the leftover boiled spuds of the day before. Thinking ahead, my gran boiled more than she needed. She'd have loved an air fryer! Thank you.
Good luck 🤞 Caroline, I cooked my roasties following Cheryl’s method on Christmas Day & they turned out perfectly. Welcome to the world of air-frying, hope you really enjoy & make good use of your new appliance, they do so much more than merely frying food, they’re ideal for heating up pies & pasties, various ready meals etc saves you heating up your big oven! 😊👌
A litttle tip, put half tsp of bicarb in when par boiling, roughs up the surface nicely when shaking them, especially if you can’t get the floury type of spud 😉
I like potatoes done/cooked pretty much every way, so seeing this is just what I needed. A bit late to the party only having bought an air frier last week, and I wanted a few hints and tips. So thank you 👍.
They look good Cheryl. Now i usually use my air fryer to make my roast potatoes 🥔 always turn out well. We love marmite so I often make marmite roasties so mix oil with marmite then coat the potatoes in it. They are to die for, but obviously only if you like marmite!! 😊
Jackie says -😎 Thank you for the recipe for roasted potatoes as I’m visually impaired/blind. I couldn’t tell if the crisp plate was in or not, as I’m very very new to air frying can’t wait to try them out Thank you again & how you do it it’s easy to follow 😊👍🏻
I love this, great instructions and delivery your potatoes look amazing. Thank you Cheryl, I’m certainly going to try these, much easier cooking in the air fryer. Watching from down under Australia 🇦🇺 🐨
Hi Cheryl, your roast tatties always look so good 😋, cooked them following your method at Christmas time & they turned out perfectly!👌 Thanks as always for sharing & hope you’re keeping safe & cosy during this latest article blast!❄️🥶❄️ 👩🏻🍳💕💞🩷💖
How could anyone pass up a potato 🥔 with a crusty exterior and soft inside?! Not I!! 😂 So, with my roast this evening I do believe I will add my small potatoes 🥔 a half hour before serving in this manner along with carrots 🥕 🎉 Have a blessed day 😀 ❤
That would do us well, we just had 20 cm of snow and -12 C. Tomorrow it'll be colder but no snow (hopefully). So tomorrow it's roast potatoes and not going out (apart from taking the dog for her walks. Shoe doesn't like cold and lots of snow either, the poor, wee, creature). Mulled wine sounds good for when we come back in. Brings back the heat after -20 C...
Hi Cheryl, sorry totally unrelated to this video but I was wanting to make your salted caramel hemisphere cakes next week but want to make in a 23cm sq tin should I increase the cooking time? Do they also freeze ok if I make in advance? Thank you 😊
My method is to let the par boiled potatoes cool down (that reduces the moisture),shake them, put them into a bowl with a little olive oil, sprinkle them with salt, pepper and Cajun seasoning and then whack them in the air fryer.A healthier method and they taste great...Greetings from across the border..😀
I bought myself an air fryer, about 8 months ago. Not used it yet. I'd like some figures concerning the costs of cooking, using an AF. I have gone back to using a gas hob kettle, as it is much cheaper than an electric kettle, and chicken breasts are cooked in the microwave. I was going to use the AF for the first time on Christmas Day, but Covid decided I wasn't going to do that.
I thought an air frier was supposed to be a healthy alternative to deep frying stuff in a pan. Yet here you go deep frying the spuds. Might as well used an oven
Horses for courses........ We have a double oven and use it for large family meals at Easter, Christmas etc. Ninha AF400 twin basket airfrier is our other runner and a lot faster. No red hot tray to pull out and shake/turn, just use the basket. Chicken nuggets and fries for the grandchildren.... 20 minutes from cold. Chicken fillets roasted and roast potatoes 20 minutes from cold. Roast salmon fillets, gorgeous. It's just a very compact fan oven so cooks faster than the big oven.
Far too fatty and fried too hot. Lower the temperature to 180 after a short while. Not for taste, but for health reasons. I love Scotland, but when I’m there, I am stuck to Italian or Asian restaurants.
If you’re doing a meal in the oven definitely but if you are using leftover meat (or just want potatoes for a snack!) it is more economical to use the fryer for the potatoes
@@cathydodge3654 Absolutely....... Instead of a whole chicken and roast potatoes in the oven (which does fit in a Ninja AF400) my wife roasts two chicken breasts in one drawer and roast potatoes in the other. Winner, winner, chicken dinner in 20 minutes saving time and energy compared to our double oven. Only use that at Christmas, Easter etc for family gatherings.

Agreed on all counts 😊

I’ve tried this three times and it has gone down a treat with the family! Thank you for sharing this take on air fried roasties 😊
Growing up, our roast tatties were made from the leftover boiled spuds of the day before. Thinking ahead, my gran boiled more than she needed. She'd have loved an air fryer! Thank you.
Those potatoes look delicious. I'm going to try this recipe. Thanks for all the great recipes you show us.
I have to say, Cheryl makes the most delicious looking potatoes I've ever seen, whether roasted, air fried, mashed, chips, croquettes.....😋🏆❤
I'm going to go do one potato for myself and see how it turns out. Shared. TY. Love Ya.
Thanks for sharing Cheryl! Definitely going to be giving those a try in my Air Fryer! Much ❤
Out of all the air fryer recipes out there, yours is the easiest to follow for roasties.
I always wanted to know how to make these! 🎉
I drooled, Cheryl lol. They look so good and I will be trying this out. Thank you!
Lovely just got a Air fryer for my Christmas. I will give them a try 👍

They are brilliant....I hardly ever use my main oven now Caroline 🤩
What would we do without our air fryer ? I’m going to make these, glad I found Cheryl.
Thanks Cheryl ❤
just what we need in this cauld weather, brrrilliant!
crunchfluffylicious 👍
This was a big help for my first air fryer roasters ❤
A litttle tip, put half tsp of bicarb in when par boiling, roughs up the surface nicely when shaking them, especially if you can’t get the floury type of spud 😉
Ooh. A great tip for people like me who prefer waxy potatoes! Thanks!
Brilliant idea...thank you! :)
I love your roasties 👍🏻

My daddy use to make these!! I am going to try this way!! Thanks
Me too I can’t wait to try the air fryer, rather than use the oven. So much easier to clean. 😊
Fantastic!! Thank you Sheryl! 🙋♀️🥰🇺🇸
Hi Cheryl ' those look gorgeous ' i cooked meatballs in my new air fryer to evening ' came out lovely 🎉

Love these. Potatoes are my favourite vegetable ❤❤❤
These look absolutely delicious. I know what I'm making tonight!
Me too. 😊

OOh mulled wine sounds good just now! 😁
they look good thank you
A friend has loaned me an air fryer, gonna try this shortly thank you!
I love potatoes and have tried so hard to grow them. It is just too hot where I live and the ants are bad. I can grow sweet taters fairly well.
Excellente !!!!!!!!! 🤗❤️👍🏼🙋🏻♀️
Mine never look like that. I'll try your way
Gotta rough up the outside of them so they get nice and crispy.
Perfect!
I cook them with freshly ground black pepper....spicy! It avoids adding salt , lovely but not good for blood pressure.
Hi Cheryl, sorry totally unrelated to this video but I was wanting to make your salted caramel hemisphere cakes next week but want to make in a 23cm sq tin should I increase the cooking time? Do they also freeze ok if I make in advance? Thank you 😊
Hi Rhona...oh now you've got me! I honestly don't have a clue! 😆 but I imagine freezing would be fine 🥰💞
Great video, sounds like Mrs Doubtfire Narrating 😂.
Delicious.😋
Making these tonight on my new air fryer..Silly question air fry mode or roast? 😊
What air fryer would you recommend?
There are soooo many out there ☺ I would pick one within your budget and needs 🙂
Yummy crispy roast potatoes
Lush 🤤
Butter and rapeseed oil might work well too?

Nobody asked
I may do that
Oh yes yum yum 😋
Delightful

Mine didnt go very crispy.. what did i do wrong please!??
They're not peas they're carrots
❤
You don't need to boil them just peel, spray with oil and cook , they always come out crispy and delicious.
Gosh, no way! Par boil every time for the perfect roastie
🤤😋👍♥️
I thought an air frier was supposed to be a healthy alternative to deep frying stuff in a pan. Yet here you go deep frying the spuds. Might as well used an oven
1. Roast potatoes aren’t an everyday food
2. An air fryer uses less electricity and cooks faster than a traditional oven
A dash of salt?😅
Why use an air-fryer????
Why not, look how they turned out, much easier cooking and cleaning in the air fryer than using and cleaning your under bench oven.
Horses for courses........
We have a double oven and use it for large family meals at Easter, Christmas etc.
Ninha AF400 twin basket airfrier is our other runner and a lot faster.
No red hot tray to pull out and shake/turn, just use the basket.

Chicken fillets roasted and roast potatoes 20 minutes from cold.
Roast salmon fillets, gorgeous.

use a chip pan Much quicker.
Far too fatty and fried too hot. Lower the temperature to 180 after a short while. Not for taste, but for health reasons. I love Scotland, but when I’m there, I am stuck to Italian or Asian restaurants.
Roast potatoes are by their very nature fatty and salty......... that's why there so good.
As long as you're not eating them every day!
I would sooner cook them in the oven. Same time as the main roast. So it saves on energy.
If you’re doing a meal in the oven definitely but if you are using leftover meat (or just want potatoes for a snack!) it is more economical to use the fryer for the potatoes

Metal tongs... No good Cheryl 😢
Oh I know! I'm guilty of that 😶🤭
The expert 🙄🙄🙄🙄
