I went to this Program as well since our school has adapted and practiced it. Sadly some teachers don’t adhere to the suggested steps/process. My filipino teacher before just let us copy the “Concept Notes” answer the “Exercises”, don’t “Discuss/Give feedback” then just move to the next Topic. During my Entire High School Days I never had a Filipino Teacher who really taught or discussed, so I only learned just a few.
BUT it’s different though when adhered politely. My Math Teachers were doing it, and I learned a lot! My English teachers were doing the same thing as well.
Shout out to my teacher na wala jud mu discuss for the entire Grade 10 nako sige rag activity (dawat lipyo yarnnn) haha.

The Central Visayan University's Dynamic Learning Program (DLP) truly stands out with its emphasis on the effective use of durable and understandable Learning Activity Sheets (LAS). This approach not only empowers students to engage in self-directed learning but also optimizes classroom time by allowing teachers to focus on facilitating rather than just lecturing.
In contrast, the Self-Learning Modules (SLMs) with Learning Activity Sheets frm my agency haven't been fully integrated into classroom instruction due to the preference of educational specialists for traditional teaching methods, where teachers are expected to explain concepts throughout the entire session. While this ensures direct teacher-student interaction, it somewhat limits the potential of students to develop autonomy in learning.
Central Visayan University's model could serve as an inspiration for my agency to further explore the balance between teacher-led instruction and self-guided learning, allowing for a more dynamic and student-centered educational experience.

Next question to Dr. Chris passing to UP admissions test is an ideal indicator that a school has a quality education, why or why not? If that so, are we educating pupils to pass admission tests and large scale international assessments or are we educatinng them for the love of knowledge and having a base standard of UP knowing that UP(Diliman) is currently ranked 1,367th globally and 374th in Asia according to EduRank's 2024 assessments.

And I quote from Dr. Cris Bernido “The design requirement in DLP is to allow the most number of students to learn deeply in the quickest time possible and cheap enough but effective.” I agree with this. Learning activity sheets do not need to be expensive. Learning activity sheets are not equated to printed worksheets fyi. The idea is even a blank paper is enough to be considered as a learning activity sheet as a student starts to copy the concept digest (may be written on the board). With proper immersion and knowledge on this learning program, educators will be able to be clarified on the misconceptions and will be able to fully grasp the beauty of CVIF-DLP.

I would like to raise a query on how many or how much students or schools in the Philippines were used as representative of our country to take the 2022 PISA and that many/much sample is statistically sound to represent the educational system delivery of the Philippines?

Yung NAT in the first place is totally non sense. Best example of a garbage system. Government spending millions for the paraphernalia and for administering the test but students were not taking it seriously in answering their exam. As a matter fact, after writing their names in the answer sheets, 10 minutes or less they are already done answering. And the DepEd and teachers are conscioully blind.

Activity sheets not realistic in DEPED....there is no budget for that. That is why this DLP cannot be implemented in DEPED.

I agree aside from that checking the worksheets may take time for we dont only have 50 studs, but x6 of that

actually I don’t know that format, giving the pupils activity without prior lecture not actually an activity but an activity it can be a thing to discover or a question they need to answer and make a senseble explanation or putput then I gave feedback then O was suprised this year there is someone from my advisery section who passed the Philippine Science HS….i don’t actually know what is it called on that format or strategy i just feel that my pupils learned better on that…
