You Stepped Out of a Dream solo guitar

This is similar to what I've been doing for solo guitar gigs, except I usually use 7 string nylon. I like feeling more freer playing solo nowadays however, I do want to work on more precision on the rhythms.
Here's some exercise I'm doing now to improve the rhythm
1. try to record solo guitar video like this
2. find out phrases that I cannot play on time
3. work on that phrase with metronome, problem is either I'm rushing or laid back too much. To me it feels good if I can put right space in between each note
