I guess hoods and capes make a fashion comeback in the future.
The cops are pretty trigger happy. Nice start to a story. Well acted, and the effects were pretty good also.

Just starting watching some sci-fi shorts here on YT and love them. Albeit a novice viewer of this genre, my take is that a memorable full-length feature's got nothin' on the level of quality and passion with which these much, much shorter works are created.

WOW!!!! As a science fiction fan, I immensely enjoy this short film! It's beautifully filmed and acted. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised at how it ends in a very non-Hollywood manner in which the protagonist dies and in some aspects, the story is really more about the antagonist as he is the most developed character as we learn about him, his thoughts and values (or lack of values), a nice twist! 👌 And I was glad to see that the kid survived! 👍 Kudos to the cast and crew, bravo!!!! 👏👏👏👏
I look forward to seeing more of your films! You just earned a new subscriber and fan! 😎

This is a perfect example of an old adage: 'You can watch a movie with good audio and poor visual quality, but you can't watch a movie with poor audio and good visual quality.' This one was the latter.

Nice work! I like to find good examples of indie movies done with Blackmagic cameras, since I have the BMPCC 4K and its older brother the BMCC 2.5K EF mount. I like both for different reasons.
One thing to note, someone with decent equipment but a good filmmaker does far more than some hotshot know-nothing with a RED "whatever". Make more, make more!

The movie looks great but I'll have to wait until I can hook up some speakers because the sound is too low on my phone. Remember, you can always turn the sound down if it's too loud but you can't turn it up more than the sound settings of the film. But will definitely watch again later.

One more thing though the sound needed a bit of a decibel increase because it was a little too low but overall very good and tbh award worthy in every aspect!!!! 🟦 You DEFINITELY need to look into a different effect for Sergeant Maddox "Helmet" voice,..... Something that affords a bit more intelligibility, then go back and rebalance all the many iniquities in the soundtrack itself, maybe try running the whole thing through a good 'Soft-knee' compressor to see if that'll level it all out, if that works it'll save you a lot of time going through the soundtrack segment by segment.
You got a-LOTA good-stuff go'n on here,... You don't wanna 'Hobble'-it with a lousy soundtrack.

The visuals remember Dune (if the short wasn't inspired by it). The textures at 1:20 make the spaceship look as if it was made of plastic (too regular). The glimmer at 1:41 made no sense to me; dust was ok, hot air reverberation was a clever idea to mask the thing. The gesture at 2:00 was.. so unconvincing. The hand shaking firing the gun at 7:25 = wtf? Same at 10:27. And.. why kill the girl (and needed 7 rounds to achieve that!?), she got a point! (oh, I fast forwarded the movie, I wonder what I missed).
Do I always watch movies this way? Not really, I know that producing this is so hard, but, sorry, I got bored. There's something missing, that's present in old StarTrek movies, even in those slow-paced scenes.
