I learn all about complementary colors from you. I started using them to make a color darker instead of using black. It’s really amazing.
Excellent explanation of complimentary colours! Thanks for the reminder about not combining colours at the same intensity - I did this yesterday in a demo piece, and was wondering what I'd done wrong - why did I just get a yucky feeling from it? The bright yellow and bright purple were giving me the willies. Now I know to knock back one of them. I really like how you talked about one thing in this video, rather than prattling on about 'all colour theory' as some do - it's too much for people to take in that way. drip feed!

Great job Fieldy! Another gem. Maybe another thing to mention is that mixing them together will neutralize. So a red color is too saturated, mixing a tiny bit of green will neutralize it to whatever intensity you're looking for. Great for creating shadows in the same color family without using black

I've been painting for just under 2 years now and i got an opportunity to do some art for a independent bush doof down here in Melbourne. I might also possibly be doing a wall mural, and I would be clueless without your videos.
