I love the analogy. Puts things into perspective. Treat myself as I would like someone else who cared for me to respond. I can do this! Thank you so much❤
I really needed this today. I've been having a bit of a dip these past couple of weeks, probably the toughest one yet as my sensations have changed again and there's a new one I've not had before. Some very exaggerated hip rocking and swaying along with the return of the feeling that my upper body can't hold itself up. At least I know one thing, there's no tissue damage and I'm 100% convinced the problem is not my ears or inner ears.
I had a great couple days of being active stable and light. ❤What a blessing when we experience these days as we work through this. Woke up this AM with difficulty. But this video helps me to remember how to help my recovery keep moving forward. Skilled recovery is so much better than unskilled. ❤ TY Dr. Yo for being my cheerleader today. 🙏 Onward and upward😊
I have learned to say okay bad day and acknowledge it. Then I go to my comfort tools and try to do one or two normal tasks to balance things out. Acknowlege then Pause then take small actions to comfort and try some normal tasks too.
You're awesome. I keep this video on my desktop and phone to remind myself with your encouraging words whenever necessary. The two recent videos are so very helpful along with this quick upload. Thank you for everything you do!
Thank you so much for those kind words! I think you're going to like one of the new ones that's coming soon, too- I'm trying to make things super practical and applicable.
Very good advice actually! Yes we do all tend to respond with reactions from in ourselves and exaggerate every negative thing that happened ! In my experience 99% of bad events peter out to be almost insignificant as the more we ruminate the more the experience seems a mountainous problem!
My story is a bit crazy.. i had a rare stroke and brain bleed 7 months ago a friend found me 10 days after it happened i lived along..40 year old male.. healthy fit they dont no why it happened.. in hospital i complain about how dizzy i was like on a boat, they had no answers .. so i was dizzy everyday all day ..then i listen to a doctor on youtube taking about vestibular migraine and ive has migrains a few times a years for years.. and he treats vestibular migraine with nortriptyline... so i started 20 mg a week ago and its a miracle im maybe 50 percent less dizzy .. ps sorry if my spelling is bad still working on that
I wanted to ask if you help people with vestibular dysfunction?? I had a concussion and developed BPPV but after that was cured I still have spatial disorientation, headaches, anxiety, I feel like im floating around :(
A question is symptoms connected to balance (for example feeling like you are walking on a boat when out walking) concidered being a dizziness symptom?
dr.yo how can i manage the stress about upcoming events or knowing i have to be somewhere i can't avoid which leads to having sensations in the present and a lot of anxiousness and fear which makes my sensations worse as well and brings ones i havent felt in a while. i have an upcoming event that involves things i havent done since before getting like this including a longer car ride and back to back events because of a family thing and i can't avoid them but just leading up to them i have been experiencing everything again and i feel so scared all the times and the second i remember the events coming up i start to feel worse and i understand how this is mindbody because just the thought of it alone makes me feel horrible but i dont know how to manage or calm down my fear because it just doesnt feel in my control and is making me sensations present today, please help me i feel horrible
Super hard when bad days happen it’s almost like you feel like a failure like you failed yourself and it’s hard not to fall into that😢
Totally hear that. It is NOT your fault. I have a whole video on how to work with those feelings: ua-cam.com/video/H5lorh8Mmak/v-deo.html
Looking forward to the full video. Thank you so much!
I’m definitely guilty of that first response. Can’t wait to see the upcoming video

I certainly categorize them that way! ua-cam.com/video/FqT6ZFhqE0I/v-deo.html
