Take notes kids, you're watching real rock n roll, real music, unlike the modern day technotronic crap they're trying to pass off as music... I'll always voice my opinion when it comes to the Skynyrd band, greatest rock band to ever step on a stage and Ronnie was the greatest front man... Thanks for posting these videos, love em.
I was born in 70 but didn't come to love this band until I was in my late 30s or early 40s. My husband always listening to classic rock and every time I would hear a song that I loved I'd say who sings that honey he'd say Lynyrd Skynyrd! So then I wound up buying that three or four CD disc set by Skynyrd with the green cover. I forget the name now cuz I don't listen to CDs anymore but I loved every song on there! I wish I had been an adult when they were touring and could have gone to see them. That would have been the best memory ever!
they were so fucking tight. what a powerful band and what a shame. whoever saw them on the 70s you were lucky as hell to got born in the best timeline ever
No pro tools and no backing tracks, hard work to master every aspect of songwriting and performing built pure talent and amazing musicians who could actually play their music very proficiently in a live setting.
One of the greatest Band ever yes but no one can beat the Allman Brothers Live in my opinion. Don't forget that The "Allman Brothers Live at Fillmore East" often counts as the best Live Album ever done.
@@lastkayleeuw6706 Opinions are cool but there is no facts in them... Lynyrd Skynyrd is the best overall band of all time and that's not a opinion at all because my opinion is led zeppelin for best.. but a fact is skynyrd and i know and you know and so does everyone else rather they admit or not...
@@fridgecold4048 Yeah thats why The Allman Brothers at Fillore East is considered to be the best live album ever. Michael Brandon it sure is!! I clicked on it not realizing EK was in this and when he lit up with that cig hanging out of his mouth I cried ED!!!!! Great guitar player. I never got to see Ronnie live but did see Ed several times in later years. Skynyrd is the best. So very underrated by those that don't know ----IMO that is.
Ed king,a DAM master of lead guitar, thank you sir, I wish they woulda lived, still be. Making there own special sound, little. BRother DOESN'T HAVE THE MAGIC,SORRY JUST TRUTH
Yes I agree 👍 although Jonny v. Tries there just a cover just another cover band, I had a chance to go see them @ the country fair in 1987 I was 16 and loved skinnier found out ed king gary r. Leon w. I am not sure about Allan c. Just didn't feel like they were skinnier without ronnie vanzant song writer and lead singer, had no desire to see a skinnier cover band cause that's all they were in my opinion without ronnie
Second Helping and Nothin Fancy are the best albums Skynyrd ever did, and Ed King played guitar on both........ Coincidence? No sir! Still can't believe he played bass on "Pronounced" or most of it that blows my mind. His first day on guitar after Leon came back he wrote Sweet Home Alabama! Ed, Allen and Gary functioned so well together. They always knew what to play, what not to play, and when. Such a great guitar team.
Lynyrd Skynyrd will never get Old not for me try listening to "I need You" I really and truly love that song Too but I never get tired of listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd At All I grew up listening to Lynyrd skynyrd's music and I Still Do today
Wow, this is awesome. Never heard this before. Isn't that Leon Wilkeson doing a little bit of back up vocals. He can sure play some bass. Didn't realize Ed King was as good of a slide guitarist as he is. That is some LS magic to have had as many great guitarists as they have. Alan and Gary, always awesome. Between Steve Gaines and Ed King, it would be hard to say which one was actually better. Really enjoy all the pickers. How talented is LS. Songs such as this one and Michelle, Women of Mine and Searching are just fantastic! It's been a pleasure running across them.
I can't honestly think of a rock song that I like more than this one at the moment. This live version is even better than the studio version.... which is where I first heard it.
Fave LS tune for me. '75 so many bands to choose from that yr. Best yr imho for r&r, didnt matter what part of usa u lived. FM baby. Some good times back then! Thanx for posting this, only happened once...
They were all masters of their craft and never again shall the world hear such sweet sounds.
You are correct.
You got that right
You sho got that right!
Amen to that! Ronnie was so far ahead of his time. I will always love Ronnie.
Rest in peace Ronnie fantastic performance
RONNIE VANZANT GODFATHER of SOUTHERN ROCK ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
There just can't be a more underrated guitarist than Ed King. Just can't be.
Got a little community in South Louisiana called Klondike
Ed King was *not* underrated..
Ed King's slide work just smokes, and Leon really steps up and nails the harmony!
word!, word!, and word!!! Ed may have been a Californian when he showed up at Hell House but for a few years on that stage he was all Rebel-
The look Ronnie gives Allen during his solo is Priceless.
allen was a great guitar player loved his style
he didn't want Ronnie to black his eye
Kimberly Duckworth I hear you. Smart man. My mom went to school with him. Nah, don’t mess with a country boy. Hell house was called that for a reason.
LOL Yep he looked at him like Damn boy squeeze the life out of that thing!! Love it!!
He was loving it.

My favorite line up by far. They sound great
Ed King was amazing

Van Zant always seemed like he was just talking to you. Classic. "Big City hard times never bothered meeeeeeeheeee!"
Man nothing compares to hearing this song for the first time love that skynyrd swagger
All these guys were amazing musicians and were all born at just the right place and time. The stars were aligned just right. 🎸🎸🎸

choctawman100 Absolutely love them---Ronnie was one of a kind.
All their songs were about stuff they experienced on the road and in their daily lives that's what made their music so great
Uh huh....
One of my most fav skynyrd songs!
For sure. Nuthin Fancy's my favorite LS release.
All good.
50 years later still jamming 😮😮😮
✌️🇺🇸🍺 SKYNYRD ✌️
~From the fender jazz bass to the firebird electric these dudes just flat lay it down southern style!~
One of the greatest tracks from this line up, slide work as snaky as the swamp.
Best times of all . May they never be forgotten.
Ronnie has such a great smile when he is watching the Boys shredding.
Rest easy mr king. Hopefully you can jam with Ronnie and the gang one more time.

They played every song the same as the recording
What I love most about both of the Winterland gigs from '75 and '76 is that they could play in the dark and still jam like no tomorrow.
