She is so freakin' adorable. And this song just skewers me. So beautiful. And here are lyrics: Lucidity came slowly I awoke from dreams of untying a great knot It unraveled like a braid Into what seemed were Thousands of separate strands of fishing line Attached to coarse behavior it flowed A calm it urged, what else is here? How's it feel to be at the center of magic To linger in tones and words? I opened the floodgates And found no water, no current, no river, no rush How's it feel to stand at the height of your powers To captivate every heart? Projecting your visions to strangers who feel it Who listen, who linger on every word Oh, it's a rush Oh, it's a rush But alone it feels like dying All alone I feel so much I want my offering to woo, to calm, to clear, to solve But the only offering that comes It calls, it screams, there's nothing here How's it feel to be at the center of magic To linger in tones and words? I opened the floodgates And found no water, no current, no river, no rush How's it feel to stand at the height of your powers To captivate every heart? Projecting your visions to strangers who feel it Who listen, who linger on every word Oh, it's a rush Oh, it's a rush
Thanks for the video, love the energy in this performance and great singer. [There's a special place in hell though for people who think its normal to talk while listening to such a wonderful performance ...]
I don't know if this has anything to do with what she meant, but, I had a conversation with my brother, asking him if he could stand in front of millions of people and presume to know how to "lead" them anywhere with his words. What a blind and self deceiving *Rush!* Been thinking about Buddha a lot lately. In approximately 2,000BC Abram left everything to follow *GOD.* Five hundred years later, in around 1,500BC, Moses did the same thing. Around 1,000 years later, in 500BC, Buddha does the same thing, followed by *JESUS* five hundred years later. So, what does all of that mean? And what's the point? What was Buddha trying to teach people? How to reach Nirvana? How is a society supposed to function with everyone sitting under a tree?

Lucidity came slowly
I awoke from dreams of untying a great knot

I was there! It was life changing.
OMG thanks for posting this. The audio is amazing and OMG that gong.
And the horns!
Too bad the gong was never used again after this song. Gongs are awesome and it sure is fun watching her smash it.
Gong was used on 10-1-21 show in SF: ua-cam.com/video/I82QWI59nHc/v-deo.html
gong was used during head in the clouds yesterday
The gong is the gate to paradise. I also love any addition of a cow bell
