I appreciate you not doing a bunch of fancy clicking and shit. This is the first guide that was clear enough to let me actually fall into the 3:0/4:1 cycle. I still barely have it but I only have 3 KC. Every other guide either doesn't show Olm spawning or they're showing an example kill with a bunch of extra clicks that go unexplained. Very clear and concise. Tyvm!
This is so much better than every other solo Olm guide I've seen. Clear and to the point. It's a crime the algorithm took so long to recommend this video to me
Some tips! Have a 4t metronome above your head. When getting set up, identify Olm's tick. Olm's tick will stay the same until he moves to the other side of the room to start the next phase Olm's tick is when he attacks, lets say "tick 4". Your attack tick is one tick before that, so your tick would be tick 3. Both the melee and mage patterns should be started on tick 3. If hes looking the wrong way or you mess up, just get to your start tile, wait for your next attack tick, and get started. Youll tank one auto most of the time and get into cycle.
I can't wait to try out your 3:0 method. I couldn't figure out the correct timing when I was using the tile in front of olm's thumb so hopefully the tile you use helps with that!
I love the short sweet guides that just show you where and when you need to click with out stuffing 10 more minutes of info that doesn't matter. How about a tob demi boss guide in the same style/format? I've been doing tons of solo cox but once I get a drop I'm done. I'll need something else to camp.
iv'e tried for *weeks* to get this down i just can't do it, the ticks are always off or something. im not even new to cox i have 500+kc and 20cm kc why am i so bad :(
@@guser436 lol, you tried having the visual metronome plug in on? you can tick so the metronome is above your head then set it to go up to the number 4. In each phase it's head will turn on a number between 1 and 4, once you know the number, just run as that number appears on your head. Made is 100x easier for me. This video is best for itua-cam.com/video/P4UrbK_Yz8I/v-deo.html&ab_channel=VideoGameBot
i was looking for a guide like this , i ve watched almost all ' guides ' about it , and you r legit the best for it :) , i never leave comments , but here we go :) , good job man ! nice explanations !
setting up is pretty ez you can watch the head closely for give aways on when to begin the cycle. you can run opposite quadrant as he is looking wait for the head to twitch inbetween his auto attacks you want to start running on same tic as his head twitch, or for 3:0 mage cast your sang attack and let it pull you down/click mid
During 3:0 mage, when running to the left tile, how can you tell if he turns his head left or to the middle? Some guides I watch they knew olm would turn to the middle instead of left but they knew and continued to go more left to turn his head accordingly.
Im sorry what enraged phase? Im gonna assume you mean head phase, you do a normal 3:1 if using a 5t weapon running from far left > middle > right and vice versa, 4:1 if using a 4t weapon
There is a chance that you splash and he won't turn middle (assuming no thralls) but more likely than not he will look middle, that's why I bring thralls
How so? U mention u need to set the head so that u can hit him 4x and he hits u once instead he hitting u twice in the cycle. But arent you just melee setting him then?
1. Setting the head in a solo is strictly 3:0 mage and 4:1 melee (for beginners anyway, there are other variants such as world scythe/7:3/3:1 whatever other variant, this comment focuses on the beginner starts), mage set/melee set implies you're basically taking unnecessary damage on either side but skipping before he does his special, which is redundant 2. I show him hitting me twice in the video so I can show you how to fix it in case it ever happens to you 3. Whatever you learned in groups does not apply in solos, throw that out the window 4. If you have any questions feel free to ask

@@KujiOsrs dude , once he does a special attack ( if we fail ) is it possible to stop making OLM using another special attack ( reset the cycle ) ?
It's a set cycle so of course you can, if you're unfamiliar with him it's basically:
Attack
Empty event
Attack
Special
Needed a refresher on how to do it after quitting, cheers, quick concise easy to follow.

Splashing is the reason. If you splash a hit on the mage hand. It's only going to centre the room
If you turn on CC every time he says “soloing olm” it translates to “swallowing all”
thank god for you good sir
I have no idea what just happened
my only suggestion is to use overhead metronome (set to 4) so that we can clearly see ticks
If i ever update the guide i will make sure to include it
How do you get back in cycle if you mess up in both methods?
Literally best olm guide out there and it's 3 minutes. Ty man this is gonna help me get melee hand down big time
So what about for enraged phase? Is there a way to continue turning the head in a solo or do you just tank all the hits?
Im sorry what enraged phase?
Im gonna assume you mean head phase, you do a normal 3:1 if using a 5t weapon running from far left > middle > right and vice versa, 4:1 if using a 4t weapon
So if i splash as im moving from right to left i don't have to go all the way to the left?
