    د خالدي قال ان الحركة الصهيونية اشترت ما بين ٤-٦% من اراض فلسطين والباقي استولوا علية بالقوة. البيع لا يؤدي للسيادة sovereignty واعلان دولة مستقلة. الكثير من العرب مثلا يمتلكون اراض وعقارات في اوروبا، هذا لا يعطي لهم الحق بإعلان دولة عربية ذات سيادة على ممتلكاتهم.

    Thanks for this extensive and interesting interview. I do have a few points to add to Professor Rachid Khalidi. The first one is in regard to the late Chairman Yasser Arafat, who has gone through a long and difficult struggle against the Zionists Jews and Zionists Arabs as well. The first point is related to Arafat'speech the UN. It is important to learn what Arafat himself said about his trip to New York and who was supporting and behind such historical visit. Second, very few our so-called Arab leader betrayed the Palestinian cause and I am sure that you are aware of many of those leaders who were and still are "licking the boots" of the Zionists from Sadat to Sissi in Egypt to the kings of Morocco, Saudia, and the Gulf Emirates, just to mention a few. In the early 1980's, I met Dr. Edward Said, in Fargo, ND at NDSU campus, just after his return from his PLO meeting in Algiers then and in response to one of my comments by just shaking hands with me and a tap on shoulder then he simply said "Jazair Al Thawra". Years have passed since, and I am still thinking about what he meant by such a response. He was very cordial and had a pleasant smile on his face "Rahimahu Allah" - May he rest in peace.

    I just want to clarify something the professor said, which I think was inaccurate: he is right, the Saudi military did not participate in the 1948 war, but Saudi soldiers did; they traveled from the west coast to Egypt and fought alongside the Egyptian army; many of them were martyred and buried in Gaza (may Allah grant them mercy). Free Palestine.

    I think this would have been a good question for the professor. I remember Dennis Ross part of the American negotiating team for Oslo said that Yasser Arafat was offered the 2967 borders for a Palestinian state and Arafat rejected it is that true

    • @fireboy1996
      @fireboy1996 7 місяців тому +2

      Not just him. Bandar bin Sultan has said the same thing and basically summarized the decades long "negotiations" with the palestinians as the palestinians always rejecting a deal only to come back years later and start negotiating for the previously offered deal that was no longer on the table. No single person has done more harm to the palestinian cause and torpedoed the palestinian state than Yasser Arafat. Followed only slightly by Hamas who killed any remaining hope for a two state solution.

    We can also compare the settler colonial project with the creation of Pakistan. A sanctuary for Muslims supported by the british which has created serious oppression all around it (kashmir, balochistan, etc...)
