Looks great man. I'll have my Bayson R Front Lip either tomorrow or Monday and the Aeroflow V2 Splitter Monday as well. Got all my hardware today from Home Depot cause yes, nuts and bolts are much better. Also, I think the only reason you may of had that slight fitment issue was because you installed the brackets on the underside of the lip, instead of on top (as you are now aware of). That extra 1/8" lift on each side could be enough to slightly raise those sides, allowing them to wrap just a bit more freely around the two ends. But other than that, yeah, looks fire! Great vid!
Thanks man! Good call on the nuts and bolts. Yup, I edited the description to note the brackets. I ended up installing them correctly on my second lip. Fitment is great.
Yup, for sure! I will looking into using rubber well nuts in the future like the OEM front lips use. This may have prevented the bolts from ripping straight through the bumper when I hit a piece of ice.
Yours fit way better than mine. Mine was super warped when I got it, used a heat gun to fix it as well as I could but it’s not great. The sides of mine aren’t flush with the bumper at all, maybe I should try some 3m tape like you mentioned. Good video!
Yup, completely agree. I actually broke the lip a couple weeks after installing it from hitting ice on the road so I bought the same one, fitment is still great. Thank you man!
I wish I had the same luck as you mine doesn’t even match my front bumper at all it feels like it’s about 2 inches too short it’s weird don’t know what to do
@@ronfromportland Salamat pre, you were lucky that your lip came fitting relatively well. I had to do a lot of pulling and bending with mine while blasting a heat gun at it. Still doesn’t fit perfectly lol.
spends extra time making sure all the bolts match........ the ice did not agree. lol love the video bro
Front lip has left the chat! Thanks bro!

@@ronfromportland And hey, maybe I'll see your car around town lol. I live in Tanasbourne and a member of NBR.
I trust nuts and bolts WAY MORE. Good choice on that. I like how the lip has the extra contours on it. Definitely gives it more style. Nice work 👌

I hear these are really good at clearing snow covered roads for your neighbors

Yeah, 3M tape should help for sure! Just make sure you clean the sides with 50:50 isopropyl alcohol/water and it’ll stick. Thanks!
Oh yeah that OCD kicked in with the bolts, but it looks good big dawg. Another great install.
I appreciate it man! Yeah, I tried to leave it alone but I couldn’t!
Sick video once again man! I got this on mine too!
Thanks so much man!! I really appreciate it!
Great video!
🙏 🙏
Great vid man. Where did you get your MELE front license plate replacement thing from?

Ayos pre..!!
Salamat pre!
@@ronfromportland Ur welcome pre..!!
For the price you really can't beat it, plus the methods look 🤌. Had them on my raptor and probably my 21sti soon.

Sameeeeeee bro but ima keep trying
Sorry to hear that man!
so you have to drill into your car for this?
At minimum you will need to use the self tapping screws. Using nuts and bolts was just something I decided to do. I hope this helps.
@@ronfromportland ah i see, i was wondering if all front lips have to be screwed into the bumper or if they go into holes that are already there
@@wolfj171 ah yeah, that’s what makes it a bit nerve wracking! You have to create your own holes haha.
What size bolt did you use?
I think I used the M3 10mm bolts if I remember correctly. Here is the kit I got: amzn.to/2Y9MzW4
The 18+ STi lip does come exactly like the one you have
Yup, it does. This one is the fraction of the price though. The OEM version has way better hardware and fitment seems perfect.
What size did you use for the nuts and bolts?
They were M3 nuts and bolts

@@ronfromportland What size did you do for the pilot holes? Lol salamat bro
@@supercheesy107 I’d start with something small like a 1/8 bit and then work your way up as necessary
