There is no need to have a Doppler angle of 60 degree or less when doing venous studies, because the velocity values are not relevant. But the cursor should be adjusted parallel to the vessel wall to obtain a good spectral trace.
Could you please upload more detailed videos on the perforator vein insufficiency. This is the number one nightmare in terms of venous Doppler studies !
I've just been told I have superficial venus reflux from the groin to the ankle plus there's a perforator with reflux. What does this all mean. What now? 😮
Superficial venous reflux is the main cause of symptoms and leg vein complications such as phlebitis, varicose eczema and leg ulcers. Treatment will improve symptoms and reduce the risk of these complications. Your healthcare provider should discuss this in detail with you.
Thank you for this comment. There are 2 methods of minimising the risk of transmitting infections during patient contact. One is to use alcohol gel before making patient contact and then hand washing afterwards. The second is to wear disposable gloves during patient contact. In the absence of open wounds, either method is appropriate in our opinion.
Thanks for video. Excellent care provider!

I have same problem that seen on his leg . Can i prevent it from exercise or need surgery
Exercise does not affect the condition. You need an assessment by ultrasound.
You're suffering with varicose veins or venous insufficiency. Consult a vascular surgeon. Before that perform a color doppler scan.

Please put on some gloves.
Hand hygiene is very important. I don't think gloves are necessary unless body fluids are involved. Why do you advise gloves?
