    Understand this, the money is good and motivating enough but remember being impactful is greater. In a field and industry where it's cutthroat and hungry driven people, theres still doctors that dont value the norm. One person can be all it takes to take care of a community all because someone actually had there best interest! Much respect Dr.Webb.

    It's so reassuring to hear that even you didn't know how to manage your time as a first year med student. It is a learning process and I'm hopeful I'll continue to tweak a balance that works for me because some days it feels like there's not enough time! Appreciate you and the tips Dr. Webb!

    I’m currently a premed student and also a student athlete. Making an agenda and staying organized have helped me tremendously. I’m still very busy and need to focus on staying disciplined, but it’s a step in the right direction I’m constantly working on.
    Love the advice and your videos Dr. Webb, keep up the great work!

    Not only does making a To-Do-List help you with a sense of accomplishment, it also reduces insecurity. You can look at the list, see everything you set out to do for that day, and by crossing steps out you know exactly at what point in your journey for the day you are. The action of crossing it out, a motor action with sensory feedback, helps encode it into you memory as something that is done, not just imagined in the future or remembered from 2 days ago.

    First off, thanks for the inspiration and information over these past years, I've finally made it to med school and can attribute that in part to your channel. To answer your question, one way I manage my time is to utilize my mornings, it's amazing how much I can accomplish before 12pm if I get an early start to my day!

    • @Luuhpan
      @Luuhpan 3 роки тому

      Hi, 3th year med student here. I don't know If it was meant to be a open question, but my advise would be first accept that failure is part of life, doesn't make you inferior just makes you human, and you are only learning (to be a professional and a adult) second do your best to understand why did you failed and what/how could you have done better. I honestly think mistakes are learning opportunities and our failures are great teachers, you will never forget what you learned throuth mistakes/pain/humiliation (sad, but truth).

    I need your advice on the following matter. My wife is an IMG Nephrologist living permanently in the USA. She will be applying directly to nephrology fellowships as well as IM and FP. Here is our dilemma. Although Nephrology is her best choice, there are no nephrology program in our state, hence she will apply for IM/FP just in case a local residency program will accept her, since as a married couple, its terrible to have to move. In any case the problem is that specialty applications began 8/26 and residency begins around october. what does she do if some nephrology programs interview her before the residency programs even begin? On one hand she doesnt want to be completely unmatched, but on the other hand she might match in home state but wont know till later since specialty and residency ranking and match dates are at different times?
