The man made sure his son tended to the pizza before the thirty seconds for a picture. Respect the pizza
🤣🤣🤣
That's an 8.4 on the father scale
he gave young Michael the point AND the eyebrow raise, young Michael's still learning
Keep stirring the sauce so it doesn't stick. Do you see that helicopter?
Dave please go to Italy and do this. It’s ok stay true to your preference but damn people saying the best pizza in the world this and that and they haven’t been to Italy…
owner seems chill and genuine. You can tell he puts his heart and soul into his business and family. Looks like a good pizza.
I thought he seemed like a pizza lunatic.
@@mfwags22 he seemed on edge the entire time. no chill.
maybe some chilll but with moderation
Also looks like he'd slap the shit out of the boys if they get out of line ... know what I'm sayin?
the man, knows to cook it well done; dumbasses think it's burnt...that is what is wrong with main stream "pinapple" types...
Guy who runs this place seems like a good dude.
guy who runs this place is one of the nicest humans on the planet. It almost feels like a front then you go time and time and realize he's just pure bliss
@@coldcallingfordummies He also made sure Steve doesn't overeat. Literally served him a pizza sample :D
Why? Because he gave Dave his 30 second elevator pitch on his pizza? He's full of bull like all the owners.
The guy is a compete tool, someone should teach him about manners
@@metromusic5725 not even tbh, i thought the same but I’ve been here so often and he’s just a down to earth guy. real cool guy
ONE BITE EVERYONE KNOWS THIS WAS A WHOLESOME REVIEW
PIZZA BRINGS OUT THE BEST OF EVERYBODY. Unless youre Lacotose intolerant
AYO MY BOY BLAINE WHAT THE FUCK YOU DOING HERE BIG HUG FROM GABRIEL YA BOY FROM ARGENTINA BRÖTHERRRRRRR
@@user-mr2bk7ku9x bröther 🙏🏼 I wasn’t aware you also watch Dave Portnoy lol! I’m obsessed with his reviews
You can tell that guy is VERY particular about his pizza. Bless him, he makes it the way he believes is best and hopefully people will like it enough to keep his business afloat.
Used to be a place near me (i moved). They did the same thing; baked the crust quick on both sides then built the pizza and cooked it.. It didn't make a huge difference right away but what was awesome was that it never lost its crunch. It was as perfect right out of the oven as it was 30 minutes later (which is rare for thin crust).
No idea why I took the time to tell ya that. But... Is what it is.
@@lawrenceshdow sometimes stuff just brings us right back to certain points in time.
@@NW-rp6hn lol lol 🤣 . Right on.
He charges like $70 for a pizza.
LEGENDARY family photo at the end, will be up for decades
I love the fact that Dave runs into Philadelphia fans "heckling" him pretty much wherever he goes! That's the Philly sports fan tradition, right? lol
Why would you expect anything else from that rat hole🤭
@@djrondo1224 🙄! Go Iggles!
was this video shot before the SB? ahahahah THEY LOST. Eagle fans are the worst effing piles EVER.
dave loves philly and philly loves dave
Dave has the best replicated fake smile ever in all of the fan photos, LOL
its the permanent nose beer smile
Probably still has food in his teeth.
It's like an Ai smile
So, Dave's mom just wanders around major cities, going into pizza joints, and trying to hustle the owners? Guess we know who he learned it from...
Lol
I would do the same fucking thing free pizza for life
has my son, “Steve”, been here?
I love watching the look of confusion on people's faces in the background who have no idea who Dave is 😂😂 they're like... "who's this loud asshole blocking the doorway?"
Respectable pizza man raising his boys in the business
as long as he doesn't force them to it
The owner BLEEDS pizza, you can tell he puts his whole life in to his business. Good man.
Lmao pizza time Lookin ahhh
Wish I had a pizzeria in my area just cause this owner real humble guy puts his heart into what he loves I would love to support a store like this
As a regular of this place I can say this dude and his wife make you feel like you're going back to your parents for dinner. Amazing people. I hope this review skyrockets their business.
Dave needs to get back to all the old pizza places that were 9s and re score them, see if they hold up and remind him what good pizza tasted like!
I love the owner , the way he talks and the passion he has about pizza, man I wish we had that here in Socal
The best reviews are alway the ones where Prez meets the owners and employees.
Michael definitely the first born. Doing extra chores while the younger sibling gets a head start on the fun.
Owner truly cares about the quality of every pizza being made. Really nice to see.
Awe, how sweet! The owner wanted to make sure his sons, especially, were in the photo ❤🥰❤️
Wow, talk about a humble guy. Always great to see people putting their heart and soul into something.
Yeah honestly just being genuine and passionate about the craft makes me want to support even more
What a wonderful owner!
Been here before. It’s definitely one of the better spots in Phoenix area, especially if you’re into grandma slice style. Guy in charge was super nice and definitely has passion for the food he makes. Can’t wait to go back!
Owner so confident in his pizza doesn’t even ask for the score, just for a pic.
That man seems so down to Earth & genuine. Deserves a booming business. Dave is truly a man of the people.
Another great family run pizza place. This is what Dave’s reviews are all about.
This guy is the real deal, it's great that Dave was able to visit these places that he wouldn't normally get to, the exposure is amazing for them I'm sure...
The owner seems like a real chill guy. I need to try this some day.
If I’m every in the area, I’ll make sure to stop by. The owner seems like a genuine guy that puts his heart in what he makes.
Guys put love into every Pie he makes. Respect!!!!!
Owners like this make me want to fly to Arizona to buy a slice. What a nice guy.
Ive been making pizza for 20 years, learned from my dad, and this is the first time I've ever heard someone else talk about the approach of cooking the dough before saucing. Our secret is using a secret "undersauce" (olive oil, garlic, onions, herbs etc) that you bake into the dough a little, and then put the sauce on with the toppings and cheese. This guy gets the method, can't speak to the pie itself but he knows what's up.
Yes, for home bakers trying to get a real crust: Preheat oven to 550. Roll out (or stretch) thin your dough on a pan. Bake the crust for 5 minutes. Pull it out. It should have little golden-brown patches scattered about. Sauce it, Cheese it. Top it. Bake it for 7-10 minutes more. As good as it gets with a home oven.
Not necessary to take it out if you cook it on the bottom rack on a steel, with a sheet pan on the top rack to keep the broil element from overcooking the top. If you don't have a steel on a stone, put the pizza in the oven on the bottom rack on a sheet pan (the kind with one flat side), cook it until the crust has solidity, and then slide it off the pan directly onto the bottom rack, turning it around every minute or two to evenly brown it. If your dough has been fermented for more than a day or two, you'll get better results.
Good pizza places put the cheese on first then the sauce im telling you it’s the hidden trick this guy in the video is right
@@uphilliceskater I’ll just do what the guy you’re replying to suggested instead of your complicated routine
dropping pizza 🍕 reviews on the daily. good job
his boys looked very EXCITED to take a pic!! hahahaha!!
One thin Grandma bite, one pizza maker putting his heart and soul into every pie, everybody knows the rules.
Perfect comment
Looks like great pizza and lovely family. Guy seems like he’s got a genuine love for the pizza art
Pizza is not just a food. It’s a way of life and I love it!
definitely seems like a great place to chill with friends, eat a pizza and drink a soda/beer.
No soda and beer
Beautiful Story
Great work Dave!!
Been watching the reviews for YEARS.. Just waiting for him to go hard on Arizona.
Mind blown when the two places in Gilbert he did, were the ones I get the most deliveries (for DD)..
I grew up in Chicago, but I swear.. there are soooo many unique/ auth Chicago/ NY style pizza places out here.
Ridiculous amount of choices.
The work Dave put in to be where he is now is incredible! This man is embraced by the people because he changes small business shops one bite at a time! Everybody knows the Rules!
Another great review. Respect.
So sweet. Dave you're a good dude.
Love it!!!!!!! modern day business savior. Down to earth guy, has a great explanation about the part with the sauce not cooking, I'm sure Its not true for all pizzas, but that crust I hear is absolutely mesmerizing, so good job to that owner, and good job to you for a good review, nice guy this owner!! keep it up
Absolutely love the man and love the place. He told his son to make sure he took care of the pizza before getting in the picture. You can tell this is a place that puts TLC into each pie, regardless of who customer is. Pie looks amazing too. Definitely will try when in the Phoenix area next
That's a hard working man and family right there. Big salute 🍕🍕 🔥
00:25 the connection on that handshake in the back left was solid af
Its always nice when Dave ends up at a place he didn't plan to go and loves it. Meant to be.
Instant classic, great guy
the man has passion you can tell !!
I hope the man's business doubles!!! Seems like a really Decent Person!!!
Group photo at the end was hilarious.
Only two words to say when ordering a pizza: WELL DONE!
Love the family competition. Classic.
Wow the way he cooks the dough says it all about the score. That’s love for pizza 💯
Love the owners demeanor and passion for his work. W man
Dave's smile is a 9.2 - easily.
AZ turning out some decent pies, this one lookks so gooood.
I went to this place today and let me tell you it lived up to what I hoped it would be. The owner was there putting in the work and he couldnt have been nicer. Definetly the best pizza Ive had in Arizona and Ive had quite a few.
"where the sauce meets the flower"..... Barstool never disappoints.
The owner seems like a good dude. I would definitely buy a pizza just to support him and his business. I like that he takes an interest in the craft of making a pie.
Love this owner. What a cool demeanor
So much love for Pres.
Dave you rock man of the people!!!
Hard working family, everybody knows that's the American dream.
Nice guy & family.
Good vibes and pizza looked good! I like the passion he puts into it! Pizza artist! Respect the pizza
Damn, that looks gooood, I will head there this week....do not cave! Keep it on the done side!
Looks incredible
Intro music is the best 🤌
Even the title sounds good as how good the pizza is.
Wholesome
Next time you’re in Los Angeles Dave you gotta go to “Tomato Pie Pizza Joint”, in South Pasadena.
Dave YOUR THE KING!!!
I like that Dave went on his momma’s recommendation.
Shout out to Mamas!!!!!
I just want a fucking slice. No pizza chips. But, can't help but love this guy and his commitment to making his pizza.
That looks fucking amazing
FIVE WATT WORLD! WHOOOHOO!
Keith was looking for you today in the livestream. 👌 Might want to get in touch with him. Weren't you wearing a 5 Watt World tee in one of these vids?
Momma Stool, came through clutch these seemed like great people and that pizza looked fire.... I would happyly drive 4 hours for it.
Nino's Pizza in Uncasville, CT (Near Mohegan Sun casino) has a thin Grandma pie that is SPECTACULAR
dave is the best. true class act
Owner was awesome. Dave Portnoy...man of the people, lol. What a cool dude.
7.8 is a monster score for that place. Next time I’m in Phoenix I’ll stop by Crisp
Big score didn't expect that good for them keep the good work 👍 👏
I think this one looks the best from the AZ series and the score reflects it
Dave you smiled like a second grader in their class photo lol
0:24 "-- my mother" *summons mom*
I took the kids here today. Great pizza and great owner! Nice and crispy to the last bit. The owner said he only makes 35 pizzas a day he cuts them down to smaller slices. 15x15 is whole pizza. 36 bucks for a whole cheese pizza.
Crust, par-cook, cheese layer, par-cook, sauce, par-cook, cheese again, par-cook, then toppings.
Only pizza review I’m actually interested in trying. Looks delicious
Soon as I heard the guys' efforts and seen then the slices themselves and Dave's reaction, I was like, gotta be a 7.8. Boom! 👌
Dave love to see you visit P&D pizza in Oxford Massachusetts
That lady in the back had no idea she was in the presence of the pizza goat
One guy , doesn’t know dave will stay for as long as needed for anyone who wants a pic, man of the people
Go Birds you da man Dave!
Gotta try Moon River Pizza in Jacksonville,Fl
Dave since you’re in Hot Springs,Arkansas today stop by Rocky’s pizza across from Oaklawn track also try Deluca’s pizza too
That pizza looked delicious 🍕

7.8 is a monster score for Arizona. That owner is set for life
