  • Installing your dishwasher is a big DIY job, but it’s easier than you might think when you follow these tips. First, research municipal, state, and regional electric codes to make sure you’re following the recommendations for your area. When you’re ready to begin, gather the necessary tools and required parts, such as a supply line or power cord, and then prepare the space. Make sure the area has stable flooring, is near a sink, and has plenty of room around it. Set the water temperature between 120 and 149 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure short cycles and clean dishes! Inspect the dishwasher when you unpack it to make sure there is no damage and that everything is included. Now that you’re ready to install it, make sure the circuit breaker and water supply valve are turned off, and then connect the hot water supply line and confirm the dishwasher is level from front to back. Secure the drain hose, align and connect the wiring, and then slide the dishwasher into place. Finally, turn the circuit breaker and water supply valve back on, power it up, attach the kick plate, and run a test cycle to finish installation. You got this!
