Hello Bill, Your dishes are absolutely beautiful and so easy to make. I would like to find out where to buy the slumping mold for the dishes and would also like to get the firing schedules.
Hi Ray, So glad you enjoyed the video, the slumping mold is about 25 years old and was made by Slumpy's, P/N SM-9100. They are still in business; I don't know if that mold is still available. If not, maybe you could find one on E Bay for a good price. If you will watch the video, WE HAVE A WINNER !! you will see which dish won the voting and the firing schedule is at the end of that video. Thanks for your comment. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi again, glad you enjoyed the video. They are fun to make and make great gifts. Have a great day, and thanks for your vote on which one you liked best!! Regards, Bill Stone PS: Did you get a change to look at my new channel, Bill Stone's Travel Adventures?
Hi Mellisa, Yes, they are safe for food. The one with the glass paint would be the only one I'm not sure about. It is draped with glass side in so I wouldn't think there would be a problem with it. Thanks for your comment, and please feel free to ask me anything about these projects. Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Terry, Welcome to my channel, I'm so happy to have you as a subscriber. Please feel free to ask me anything about these videos. There are 52 videos in all. Hi Brett, Thanks for your comment and vote on your favorite one!! The Kiln I have is made by Skutt and is called a HotStart Pro & Fire Box. I have had it since 2009 and find it easy to program and set up. I use code 96 glass for all my fused projects, you can also use this glass for your stained glass projects It's made by Oceanside Glasstile Co., it's the old Spectrum Glass Co. All the glass they make is Code 96 Glass. Again, thanks for your comment. Regards, Bill Stone PS: When you get some time check out my new Bill Stone's Travel Adventures channel, just getting it up and running!

Hi Rachel, Good to hear from you again, glad you enjoyed the video. When you have time check out the video, WE HAVE A WINNER!! and you can see which candy dish won the voting. Have a good day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Just watched this video - love all the variations!! Would you mind sharing what mold u used and the size of terra cotta pot - it made such a unique bowl!!
Hi Terry, Thanks for your kind words, so glad you enjoyed the video on the candy dishes. The slumping mold is about 25 years old and was from Slumpy's, they are still in business, not sure they still make this mold. I think it was for making an ash tray, not sure of that. I wasn't crazy about that mold until I came up with the idea to drape it and make it into a candy dish. I just use a standard 4" terra cotta pot as a draping mold with kiln wash on it. I did drill some vent holes around the top ring to vent it. When you have time check out the video, WE HAVE A WINNER and see which candy dish won the voting!!! Thanks for your comment and please enjoy my other video projects. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Susan, So glad you enjoyed the video, The mold is from Slumpy's and is about 25 years old, it has a P/N SM-9100. They are still in business and you night check with them to see if it's still available. Check out my video called WE HAVE A WINNER and see which candy dish wone the voting!! Again, thanks for your kind words and thanks for your comment. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Connie, Nice to hear from you again!! The mold is about 25 years old and was made by Slumpy's, P/N SM-9100. They are still in business, and I don't know if it's still available or not. I think it was to make an ash tray, not sure. I really didn't like it until I got the idea to slump it than drape it to make it into a dish. I think you might get the same results if you had a shallow 6" slumping mold with ripple edges on it and drape it to make the dish. We took a vote on which candy dish they liked best, check out WE HAVE A WINNER!! and see which dish got the most votes!! Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi, Thanks for your kind words, so glad you enjoyed the video project. If you will check out my video, WE HAVE A WINNER you will see which candy dish won the voting. Also, at the end of that video there is a firing schedule I used for my kiln. It also tells the name of the kiln I have. Again, thanks for your comment. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Myma, Welcome to my channel, thanks for your kind words!! Check out the video WE HAVE A WINNER!! and see which candy dish won the voting!! Have a great day. Regards, Bill Stone
Hi, Thanks for your comment, the slumping mold for this project is about 25 years old and was sold by a company called Slumpy's. The P/N is SM-9100, they are still in business, and you can check to see if it's still available. I think it was for making ash trays originally, not sure of that. I never really liked that slumping mold until one day I decided to take a slumped project made on that mold and put it on a draping mold and the rest is history!! Sorry I couldn't be more help to you. You might check E-Bay and maybe someone may have one they would sell. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Melissa, I think you're asking what mold I used to slump the candy dishes!! It's a real old slumping mold I purchased 25 years ago and is on longer available. I talked to the maker, and they don't have any more in stock. It was made by a company called Slumpy's. You can check them out on the internet. Thanks for your comment and please feel free to ask me anything about my video projects. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Lauri, Thanks for your kind words, so glad you enjoyed the video. Hopefully you will check out some of my other videos when you have time. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi again, sorry I didn't see this question, yes you can make a water slide decal on a Laser Printer that uses dry toner, there are several UA-cam videos showing you how to make them. I haven't ever tried to make one as I don't have a laser printer. I think Amazon sells the decal paper you would need. I have no idea what the quality is like on them. Let me know it you try to make one. The decals I used are for the candy dish in this video were ceramics decals and fire at 1325 degrees. Hope this helps you out!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Adrienne, Thanks so much for your kind words, unfortunately I purchased that slumping mold about 25 years ago from a company called Slumpy's, it has a part number SM-9100. They are still in business and can be found on the internet. You might also check and see if someone on E-Bay might have one to sell. If you want to see which candy dish won the voting, check out my video called WE HAVE A WINNER!! Thanks for your comment, please feel free to ask me about any of my video projects. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi, Thanks for your kind words, glad you enjoyed the video. Cutting a circle inside a circle can be done, it takes a lot of work to do that. There are several videos on UA-cam showing different ways to do it. I have never tried to do it, so don't know which style I would like best. Thanks for your comment and please check out the rest of my videos when you have time. Regards, Bill Stone
I so wish I had a kiln! It is on my list ❤. The dichroic bowl is my #1 favorite. My #2 is the pink with decals. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You are inspiring.
Hi Karen, Thanks so much for your vote, I'm going to post the winner this weekend. You will get your Kiln when the time is right. You have to remember it's taken me 50 years to collect all the different systems I have. I had to learn most of these systems by trial and error over time, but with UA-cam now you can find out how to do just about anything you want!! Alot of time you can find these kilns for sale in the local newspapers. Before I purchased this one, I was using an old kiln made for making ceramics and it used what they called a cone setter for the max heat and then would turn off. Check around with friends they may know someone that has a kiln just setting around would like to get rid of it. Most of these small kilns just use standard household 110 voltage lines to plug into. If you were happened to find one of these old kilns, don't pay a lot for it, and you would meed to buy some setter cones for setting the heating range. I found 019 cone for draping all the way up to 015 cone for a full fuse. I'm sorry for rambling on!!! Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
They are all great. Good conservation of glass using 1 layer. Curious about the fusing schedules. I'll study them in a minute. What COE are you using? Favorite is actually the painted one. New technique for me. 😂 That slump mold is fab!
Hi Marcia, Thanks for your vote, it's a fun project to make and you can do just about anything you want to put on them. The base for all these dishes is a 3mm glass. COD 96, It's the old Spectrum glass, which is now Oceanside Tile and Glass. I was going to include the firing schedule in the video and forgot to put the slide in, my bad. I'm going to make a quick video with the winning dish and will add the schedule at the end of that one. I can tell you the first fuse is a full fuse at 1474, the second fuse is 1400 for the slump and the last is 1220 for the drape. If you have never draped anything before it's fun, you never know what you're going to get. You can just cut a square piece of glass and drape it and that makes a nice candle holder. Again, thanks for your comment, enjoy my videos when you have time. Keep a eye out for the winner video should be later this week. Regards, Bill Stone
Thanks for your comment, Glad you enjoyed the video!! Hopefully you will check out some of my other videos as will. Have a great day. Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Sylvia, Thanks for your kind words, so glad you enjoyed the video. If you haven't had time to watch the video, WE HAVE A WINNER!! you will see which dish won the voting. Hi Bella, Thanks for your comment, nice to hear from you. Check out the video WE HAVE A WINNER, and you can see which candy dish got the most votes. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Alisa, Thanks for your vote. Yes, all the base glass is 3mm COD 96, it's the old Spectrum glass and is now Oceanside Tile and Glass. The first fuse is a full fuse at 1475, The second fuse is at 1400 to slump and the third fuse is 1220 to drape the dish. I will show a fusing schedule at the end of the video showing the winner of the dishes. It will be posted at the end of the week. Regards, Bill Stone
Hi, Thanks for your kind words, glad you enjoyed the video. The slumping mold was from a company called Slumpy's and the P/N was SM-9100. I purchased this mold about 25 years ago on a close out sale and don't know if they still make it. They are online, so you can check it out. The draping mold is made out of a standard red clay pot with some vent holes drilled in it and has kiln wash on it. Check out the We Have A winner!!! video and you can see which dish got the most votes. Thanks for your comment and feel free to ask me anything about these projects. Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Annette, Thanks for your comment, so glad you enjoyed the video. If you want to see which candy dish won, the voting go look at the video WE HAVE A WINNER!!! Regards, Bill Stone
Absolutely loved your video! I am already looking forward to watching more :) I vote for the frit one. Quick question: What circle cutter are you using? I haven't bought one yet and yours looks like it does a good job. Thanks again for putting together a very helpful and inspiring video.
Hi, Thanks for your kind words, so glad you're enjoying the videos!! Check out the video WE HAVE A WINNER!! and you will see which candy dish won the voting. The circle cutter I'm using is from Amazon, sold by a company called Do It Tool. It's not expensive, around $20 and works great. Not too crazy about the numbers on the adjustable slider to set the size of the circle that you want. I just use my ruler and set the slider with the cutting wheel on it. Again, thanks for watching my videos and hopefully they will give you some ideas for your projects. Have a great day!! I have a new video coming out this weekend, keep your eye open for it!! Regards, Bill Stone
Hi Monica, Thanks for your kind words, so glad you enjoyed the video. Check out the video WE HAVE A WINNER !! and you can see which candy dish won the voting!! Have a great day!! Regards, Bill Stone

They are still in business, might check their web page and see if they still have that one. When You have time check out my video, WE HAVE A WINNER!! and see which candy dish won the voting. Hi Nancy, Thanks for your comment. That Slumping Mold is about 25 years old and was made by a company called Slumpy's with a P/N 9100. They are still in business; you might check then out on the internet. I think the mold was to make an ash tray. I got the idea to drape it into a candy dish because I really didn't care for it too much and since I don't smoke, I didn't need any ash trays hanging around. Thats one of the fun parts of making fused glass pieces, sometimes you try something that turns out real nice for you. You might also check on E Bay and see it someone has one for sale. Please feel free to ask me anything about these projects on my channel. Have a great!! Regards, Bill Stone PS: Did you look at the video WE HAVE A WINNER !! it shows which dish won the voting.

Hello Bill, Your dishes are absolutely beautiful and so easy to make. I would like to find out where to buy the slumping mold for the dishes and would also like to get the firing schedules.
Hi Ray,
So glad you enjoyed the video, the slumping mold is about 25 years old and was made by Slumpy's, P/N SM-9100.

I don't have a cooker but this was great instruction for anyone who does! The pink floral looks vintage but all beautiful. ❤
Hi again, glad you enjoyed the video. They are fun to make and make great gifts. Have a great day, and thanks for your vote on which one you liked best!!

PS: Did you get a change to look at my new channel, Bill Stone's Travel Adventures?
Love them all and are they all food safe.
Hi Mellisa,
Yes, they are safe for food. The one with the glass paint would be the only one I'm not sure about. It is draped with glass side in so I wouldn't think there would be a problem with it. Thanks for your comment, and please feel free to ask me anything about these projects.

Bill, great video. My favorite was the first bowl very colorful. I would love to lean more about your kiln.

Just watched this video - love all the variations!! Would you mind sharing what mold u used and the size of terra cotta pot - it made such a unique bowl!!
Hi Terry,
Thanks for your kind words, so glad you enjoyed the video on the candy dishes. Have a great day!!

what mold did you use for the first slump? love all of them, so unique in different ways
Look at 2o minutes in. You will see the mold
Hi Susan,
So glad you enjoyed the video, The mold is from Slumpy's and is about 25 years old, it has a P/N SM-9100. They are still in business and you night check with them to see if it's still available. Check out my video called WE HAVE A WINNER and see which candy dish wone the voting!! Again, thanks for your kind words and thanks for your comment. Have a great day!!

I love the candy dishes. What mold are you using and where did you get it? I am having trouble finding a mold like that.
Hi Connie,
Nice to hear from you again!!

Hi,
Thanks for your kind words, so glad you enjoyed the video project. If you will check out my video, WE HAVE A WINNER you will see which candy dish won the voting. love the mold! Do you mind sharing the mold information?
Hi,
Thanks for your comment, the slumping mold for this project is about 25 years old and was sold by a company called Slumpy's.

Bill Stone
thanks so much Bill!!!
Hi Janas,
Your more than welcome!! Check out my new video I'm going to post tomorrow afternoon, it's a fun project to make!!

What movie did you use to slim beautiful dishes?
Hi Melissa,
I think you're asking what mold I used to slump the candy dishes!!

Thank you for doing this video. It was very helpful.
Question: Is there a way to print our own decals that will stand up to fusing?
Hi Lauri,
Thanks for your kind words, so glad you enjoyed the video. Hopefully you will check out some of my other videos when you have time. Have a great day!!
Regards,
Bill Stone
Hi again, sorry I didn't see this question, yes you can make a water slide decal on a Laser Printer that uses dry toner, there are several UA-cam videos showing you how to make them. I haven't ever tried to make one as I don't have a laser printer. I think Amazon sells the decal paper you would need. I have no idea what the quality is like on them. Let me know it you try to make one. The decals I used are for the candy dish in this video were ceramics decals and fire at 1325 degrees. Hope this helps you out!!
Regards,
Bill Stone
Thank you! This helps a lot! I'll look for that ceramic decal paper and give that a try.@@billstonesstainedglasscrea3310
Love the dichroic!!!!
Love the video. May I know where I can purchase the slumping mould in the UK.
Hi Adrienne,
Thanks so much for your kind words, unfortunately I purchased that slumping mold about 25 years ago from a company called Slumpy's, it has a part number SM-9100.

Love your way of explaining and work. Question how to cut inner circle is that possible
Hi,
Thanks for your kind words, glad you enjoyed the video. Cutting a circle inside a circle can be done, it takes a lot of work to do that. There are several videos on UA-cam showing different ways to do it. I have never tried to do it, so don't know which style I would like best.
Thanks for your comment and please check out the rest of my videos when you have time.
Regards,
Bill Stone
Second one is my favorite ❤
Hi,
Thanks for your comment. Have a great day!!

Bill Stone
I so wish I had a kiln! It is on my list ❤. The dichroic bowl is my #1 favorite. My #2 is the pink with decals. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You are inspiring.
Hi Karen,
Thanks so much for your vote, I'm going to post the winner this weekend.
Regards,
Bill Stone
They are all great. Good conservation of glass using 1 layer. Curious about the fusing schedules. I'll study them in a minute. What COE are you using? Favorite is actually the painted one. New technique for me. 😂
That slump mold is fab!
Hi Marcia,
Thanks for your vote, it's a fun project to make and you can do just about anything you want to put on them.
Regards,
Bill Stone
Beautiful work

Great Video! My favourite is the dichroic dish. Did you use 3mm glass for each dish and was the first firing a full fuse?
Hi Alisa,
Thanks for your vote.
Regards,
Bill Stone
😢where would I get the slump mold? Thank you for a great video. Colored frit was my favorite.
Hi,
Thanks for your kind words, glad you enjoyed the video.

Absolutely loved your video! I am already looking forward to watching more :) I vote for the frit one. Quick question: What circle cutter are you using? I haven't bought one yet and yours looks like it does a good job. Thanks again for putting together a very helpful and inspiring video.
Hi,
Thanks for your kind words, so glad you're enjoying the videos!!

Can you tell me where to find the mold you are using for the candy dishes?
Hi Nancy,
Thanks for your comment.
