I know it's not your usual content, but I really think you would enjoy reacting to the full cutscenes for some of the halo games. Bungie and 343 do a really great job of storytelling, and their games (in particular Halo: Reach and Halo 4) have some incredibly emotional and well-crafted cinematics that hit a lot of the same style of emotional beats that the official cinematic trailer you watched did for Infinite. I know a lot of your fans would also love to see your reaction to that content!

@@stealthhunter6998 The problem with watching the cutscenes is that there are too many compilations out there that only show the cutscenes themselves. Only half of halo's story is told through cutscenes, the other half is moments that occur during the game, the things your allies and enemies say while playing.
@@spartanatreyu Yeah but u can watch a "gamers playground" video. They have that important dialog and ingame moiments in there but she probs wont be interested cause of its length. Also not to menton halos feeling of walking on the ring for the firt time and playing as the arbiter meeting the flood. ect will not have as much of an effect, but secound best will do if she doesnt want to ever play the games which is watching the crucial stuff.
Too bad nothing good can really be said about halo 5. What a disaster of a halo game it was.

Halo story is fully interconnected between the games. Its something 343 has done a good job of pushing forward while keeping ties to the games bungie made.

That announcement where the man said "The covenant have glassed Arcadia" was a nice touch. Humanity was loosing the war to the Covenant and when they had to abandon and evacuate planets the Covenant would "glass" the planet, this rendered the planet entirely uninhabitable.
In terms of how we got into the war with The Covenant the games don't tell the origin of the conflict too much as most of that is told through the Halo novels. But essentially The Covenant is an alien empire of religious zealots made up of many different races who believe they are on a "Great Journey". The Prophets who were the leaders of The Covenant discovered humanity are related to the Forerunners who were an advanced race that occupied the galaxy millennia ago. They declared war on humanity because they feared this discovery could fracture The Covenant so they kept it hidden and declared us abominations.
The reason so much work went into the armour that Master Chief wears is because The Spartans were the only thing that stood between humanity and extinction. The Covenant were both numerically and technologically superior so humanity was overwhelmed on many worlds until eventually we were driven back to Earth itself. Eventually one of the only reasons we survived the war is because The Covenant did eventually fracture into civil war and we forged an alliance with one of the alien races known as the Sangheili.

Oh trust me, there’s a HUGE story behind all of this. What you just saw is essentially a new introduction to a twenty year old franchise, for the newest game in the series.

The first two are from the main story, the first is called "halo: the fall of reach", and the second "halo: the flood".
And the last one is called "cryptum" from the forerunner saga.
SPOILER ALERT: the first two are about the birth of the spartans, and shows the main factions and are set in 2550 more or less. and the third one shows the origins 100000 years ago of the conflict.
There's a complete timeline video of all halo games from a UA-camr named Same Token...It's a pretty good one...

did you notice in the season one trailer they added the grappling hook thing the engineer was working on, it was eventually incorporated into the suit! she needed it to be powerful enough to lift Spartans.
Halo, to me, has always been a very special story.
Unlike many other shooter type games, this one does not glorify human on human conflict (like Call of Duty or Battlefield).
Instead it is a story of Humanity (in the future) coming together to face an external threat to our existence.
It has always been about protecting those who cannot defend themselves, as opposed to waging unnecessary war.
What’s interesting is that the theme of season 1 multiplayer is about remembering the Spartans who sacrificed their lives in the “Deliver Hope” halo reach cinematic in Non Gamer Watches #43
Those were so goood. I loved the story behind the scientist who made the grapplehook from the game, I hope they make more stories like that

If you’re curious about the start of the Humen-Covenant war I recommend the book Contact Harvest. It literally goes into detail of the first human covenant interaction and why/who started the war.
I have to second this. After reading many of the Halo novels, this one stands out as my favourite standalone novel.
I've always maintained that if a Halo tv show was ever created, it should follow the characters of and starting from that book (Johnson, Jenkins, Tartarus, Dabab, Truth, Regret, Mercy, Mendicant Bias) through the war and into the games.
The Unspoken trailer was connected to the fall of Harvest as well. They were fleeing from Harvest when they were ambushed by Jackels.
The multiplayer aspect unlike a lot of shooter is integrated into the lore as "training" where two teams of Spartans fight each other along with there being modes like Capture the Flag etc it's War games. The Campaign on the other hand is where the story elements are you play as Master Chief going up against Aliens in a faction known as the Banished. The opening of the multiplayer had a fun little tutorial where we walked about this Spartan academy speaking to the woman you see in the trailer who mention some little hints at the story stuff like "We lost contract with the Ring and other Spartans including Mater Chief" so they are leaving little hints in the Multiplayer which is out now the Story doesnt come out until the 8th December three weeks from now.
"Seasons" are a relatively new thing in online games. Basically, each season has a bunch of cosmetics which can be armor pieces, effects, etc. that follow a theme. over a few months. So after May, a new season will start with a bunch more things to earn to make your character look how you want
To add to this the season 1 for halo infinite is heroes of reach because there are references Nd cosmetics from the halo reach game like the armours of noble team and some effects like the flaming head one
It honors reach because technically reach is the prequel to normal halo games hek in reach you play as yourself and your mission is to try to save the planet of reach from a full scale covenant invasion
There is literally a Halo series comming out next year! It will be on Paramount plus

@@sanhcman666 Now i'm not sure if these have been changed, but i remember some time ago that the creators shared some stuff regarding what the show would cover. One story arc in the show would follow a human who grew up among the covenant....which if you're aware of the lore even a little bit makes no sense.

I'm not a STEM student. I've just built MacGuyver'd shit with my dad that we make on the spot to solve issues we came across on our farm and in other random jobs we needed to get done. But that is something I have felt so often. That moment of.....

It's an addicting feeling and makes all the hiccups and failures up to that point so worth it.
The halo series is so beautiful and emotional. It makes you feel feelings from hopelessness and dread to hope and excitement. It's a wholeass rollercoaster and one I'm proud to never have gotten off of.
Halo is more than just a game. It's a story. Or many stories. And I can't wait to play the next chapter.
You should read some of the Halo Novels like 'Halo: The Fall of Reach' (it acts as a prelude to the first game) and 'Halo: The Flood' ( it roughly follows the same events of the first game)

In my 20 years (less or more) experience with halo, I learned that they know their stuff when it comes to thrill and emotion with the publicity campaigns
There are so many great live-action trailers for Halo going back to Halo 3. Halo 3, ODST, Reach, Halo 4, and Halo 5 all have amazing trailers that will make you weep.
If you want to understand how we got to that point in the Halo story, you will have to watch trailers, cutscenes or short films from the previous games. Master Chief and Cortanas relationship, plus him being a total badass is what I loved about it. It was the main reason I bought an Xbox when Halo combat evolved (the first game) came out.
There was already a tv series featuring characters from Halo. I think it may be on Netflix. It was called Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. There is another series in the works with a bit more backing behind it but if you want a one season tale, Forward Unto Dawn exists already. Someone probably mentioned it. Forward unto dawn is a movie, not a series. But still a great recommendation. It's one of my favorite pieces of the expanded universe
The closest thing to trailers and cinematics explaining how the war started is probably Halo Wars. I think there's a trailer called Five Long Years that is close to the beginning of the war but I don't think it really explains exactly how it started, there's a book about it though, called Halo: Contact Harvest.
Also, would you react to the Halo 3 BELIEVE ads?
So for the history of halo there's hidden videos in some of the game that tell the history of the games. There's a cutscene in halo wars 2 that tell the story of the Banished (the new enemy in halo) and the live action trailers for halo 3 & ODST I think you will love. There's one for halo reach. The into cutscene in halo 4 tells the back story of master chief. And then there's halo fall of reach movie and halo legends that extend the history too if you want to watch those.
I don't know how you have been watching game trailers and intros but still be a non gamer. I gotta say keep up the great work!
There is a pretty decent novel adaptation of the origin of the whole Spartan business called "Fall of Reach" by Eric Nylund. Some of the games have redconned some of the points but it is still a very good read. Especially given how heroic and flawless the Spartans are presented in the games, the novel shines a bit on the darker side of how the whole program came to be.
people absolutely can and probably have given the summary of the lead up to this game, but it is also worth noting that there are novels, a show and some short films that cover most of that. the game will have both co-operative and competitve multiplayer with the first 3 trailers being about the story and the last about PvP (player versus player). and finally about that last trailer refering to a "season 1" seasons are a recent trend in video games where you can buy a "season pass" that offeres more content to work towards obtaining though only for a limited time which is usually when the next pass comes out (typically 3-4 months)

The Spartan who drops down and nods to the woman is like THE spartan. His name is Master Chief, Sierra 117. He is the main character you play as in all mainline Halo games (1-6 and Infinite).
Yeah the trailers like stary night, deliver hope, become odst, and the believe campaign commercials jus hit the right emotional string imo

season 1 is kinda like sport seasons. it's a time frame in which (usually) items connected to the theme of the season can be gotten. Ie this first season is heroes of Reach meaning most of the items up for grabs for cosmetics (items that don't make you better at the game but make you look better, think helmets, effects, paint jobs for guns or vehicles.) are based on the Halo spinoff game "Halo: Reach". which a small story note to that is theirs because they did everything they could to save one of the first planets attacked by the alien forces of the covenant but one of note because it became a rallying cry to remember Reach and not let it happen again.
Video game cinematics are amazing, you should see all the halo wars cutscenes, they are amazing aswell as following the stories of Halo till now.

I love Halo! There's plenty of live-action stuff you could watch. "Halo 3: ODST - Live Action Movie (Extended Version)" is a great one, concerning a different kind of soldier to the Spartans and their power armour. There's also "Birth of a Spartan" which gives a brief overview of what it takes to become a Spartan :) Hope your day is going well!
I don't know if anyone explained the seasons thing, but that usually refers to a season of game content. This can include battle passes, game mode rotation, or even a DLC series. Hope this helps.
Brian David Gilbert, while working at Polygon, made a video book report about all the Halo novels. It's not like a cutscene thing, so I'm not sure if you'd like to react to it, but it's very entertaining, and I'd recommend it even if you don't make a video about it.
If you are interested in how it all started, look up the book Halo: The Fall Of Reach. That’s the book that started it all along with the game Halo: Combat Evolved. The book is the Prequel to that very first Halo game. From there you got Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Wars, Halo Reach, Halo 4, Halo Wars 2, and finally Halo 5. After Halo 5 comes Halo: Infinite. Lastly, when they say season 1 for multiplayer games, they mean a set time period to complete challenges to unlock rewards. Once that season is over, they move on to new game rewards. This concept is on many modern multiplayer games today.
if you want there is actually a halo animated movie called Fall of reach it is VERY emotional and shows how the Spartans became to be and the start of the war it is around 1 to 2 hours

God I still can get over the part of the glassing of arcadia that happened literally not long after the spirit of fire chased after a covie ship and found a forerunner forge world that was infected with the flood.
There is a love action Halo series called "Forward Unto Dawn" that came out just before Halo 4, and it starts right before the human covenant war when most humans had no idea that aliens were even out there, so the marines/ODST/Spartans/etc were all fighting terrorists and a civil war.
They will add things to the multiplayer. So season 1 comes into play when the game comes out and will live on after with more seasons for the multiplayer
Also halo has a ton of books. Its s sci fi fps game, there is a single player story with coop and multiplayer

There isn't much lore right now from the game trailers, gameplay yes but people who got early access to first stages of the campaign (content creators) Either cannot show the spoilers or etc. not sure myself
But yeah the full game is releasing on December 8th for the campaign.
But the basic lore from the new story we got is.
Broken Halo ring world named Zeta, Master chief gets found by a pilot abandoned in space, the Banished attack etc. Master Chief and pilot get on the Halo, Master Chief stuck, find way out. Pretty nostalgic type of story since we're on a Halo ring world with a basic exploration type missions like Halo Combat Evolved with the open environment.

Spartans are genetically enhanced super soldiers. They’re bigger, stronger, faster, and have better reflexes than normal humans. Spartans were the only reason humanity stood any chance against the Covenant.
Halo does have a single player story but it’s also well known for it’s multiplayer matches.
Has anyone suggested trailers for the earlier Halo games? Because there are definitely some that you would like, and I really hope you watch some explanation video on the story or maybe a halo reach cutscene compilation? As for books to read, the absolute best book of all of them has to be Ghosts of Onyx! It has such a touching and emotional story that I tear up every time I read it, and I’ve read it 6 or 7 times. Though I will suggest you watch a video explaining lore first, as it does assume you know some things considered its not the first Halo book and came out well after some of the games. When I first read it there were some things I didn’t know myself, but I still loved it, because it’s just that good!

Not necessarily- that's just the beginning of Chief's story. The beginning of the war is covered in another book, Halo: Contact Harvest.
I think you would enjoy the New War Cinematic trailer for Warframe.
I will say this, the trailer looks like it would be an actual Movie, but it is actually hypeing up a giant update to the story while sharing some lore.

Is always good that new people are interested in halo, although it's a long story
You have to understand the dark origins of the very first Spartans. They were literally kidnapped as kids and made to go through rigourous training and have all sorts of physical augmentations that comes with extreme pain. All the original Spartans knew was how to take orders and do combat.
A pretty good prier on the majority of the story is "Halo Legends: Origins" it's an animated summary of the story up until Halo 1.
Halo show coming out in 2022 on paramount + the teaser during xbox anniversary looked good. I highly recommend watching the halo movies that have been released & reading books they really expand the universe
I’m not sure if people have suggested it yet, but the ODST Content is wrenching - the “We are ODST” video in particular!
I would recommend watching the halo 3 believe campaign. It's set like a documentary with interviews of soldiers who fought in halo 3. It kinda helps with that world building and how the Master Chief was seen by his fellow soldiers
The woman in the project magnus trailer be like: "If this thing eventually works it's for sure going to dislocate my shoulder i better get my ass rowing."
Not surprisingly only a very small fraction of the halo universe is portrayed in the games

Halo is a franchise that’s been going on for 20 years.
It has an awesome story portrayed over 5 main games and some prequels and spin-offs (plus this new game), also many books, short films and next year even a TV series.
Multiplayer has always stood out in this game being a team based arena shooter, both fun and highly competitive. All this multiplayer cinematics have been a great way to fit the multiplayer experience inside the “Halo canon”.
Halo Infinite is the new title in the franchise, being the 6th game following the “main storyline” and its protagonist, Spartan John-117 aka the Master Chief.
While the official launch date is December 8th, this November 15th was the franchise’s 20th anniversary so they released a beta version for the multiplayer as a gift for players.
The rest of the game will be coming out during the next couple of months (starting with the campaign on the 8th)

halo has amazing lore about the spartans and and the spartan projects ... the frist one was kind a grim and dark ... but over the years it went thru many interations ... there are lot of good lore videos out there ... also lot of halo ingame cinematics are amazing ... you might want to check that too
For something to show how Humanity got into the war, there's a series of animations called Halo: Legends. The first two (Origins I and II, I think) show both the leadup to and a summary of the war, as well as gives a general summary of the lore in general. It's pretty good storytelling and doesn't really need much familiarity to understand (it pretty much tells you what you need to understand it)
I'd recommend watching the Fall of reach series, as it kinda shows the beginning of the war between the humans vs the Covenant.
There is a book! The HALO franchise started from a book. The Fall of Reach. The beginning of the human civil war to the first contact with the aliens. The creation of the spartan program and the lines humanity crossed to create spartan 117. Netflix had a HALO Legends movie you can check out.
There are a number of books that you could read about Halo. The Fall of Reach is around where the story starts for everyone. Halo: The Fall of Reach is about John-117 and Blue Team, while Halo: Reach the game is about Noble Team. Both stories feature the only two Spartans classified as hyper-lethal, that being John-117 the Master Chief (the protagonist in the main games) and Noble 6. From there you can get into Halo: Legends which is an animated anthology series. Halo: Forward Unto Dawn is about Captain Lasky and why him and the Master Chief are best buds. The Ghost of Onyx book is about the Spartan III program, who later run into Blue Team (Spartan II senpais) on the Forerunner world of Onyx. Halo: ODST, the game gives you a look into the perspective of the Human Covenenant War through the eyes of a regular human (Spartans enhanced humans) on the ground with your puny human strength. Lots of lore!
If you like this tipe of trailers maybe halo 3 odst live action trailer could be a great trailer to react to, and halo 3 become hope live action campaign those are really beautiful. Anyways great video!
The halo franchise has about 20 novels that tell the story. Its worth a read.
Typically if a Halo trailer can make you cry or get you pumped up and want to jump up and do something its a good halo trailer.
There is a Halo TV series coming to paramount+, havent heard a lot from it but visually it looks a lot like this.
Also you literally can play the multiplayer right now for free.

There is a short, very short, teaser for an upcoming Halo TV series coming to Paramount +.
Also, "season" from the last video is like a sports season. A period of time to attempt certain achievements and accrue points. At the end of the season scoreboards are wiped and a new season starts. There are often unique items (helmets, armor pieces, etc) that to unlock by doing certain things that will only be available during that season. A way to draw and retain players.

I love your reactions. If i have a suggestion, i'd say watch the Ace Combat Trailers and Intros. They're beautifully done with epic music and visuals. Ace Combat 7 is the most recent game. But if oyu want more selection, Ace Combat 5, Zero, 6 & 7 are the ones to watch.
there is a series called forward unto dawn that was actually quite good I would recommend for some halo background.
Please watch the video "arbiter vs sgt forge" is from Halo Wars and its one of my favorite videos from halo. Before u watch it u have to know that the reactor that the arbiter "stops" is like a hundred tons
There is a Halo tv show slated to come out soon (only a short teaser for that is out so far) but there are two webseries called Halo: Forward Unto Dawn and Halo: Nightfall. Aside from that there are plenty of Halo lore videos which do a fantastic and cinematic job delving into some backstory on UA-cam!
Multiplayer is free, and you can play against AI bots if you feel uncomfortable playing against people, it also has the Academy mode that grabs the player by the hand and shows you how to play
Halo Legends is an anthology of animated shorts. I cant remember if they are canon or not.
Halo has a big story and universe interconnected between the games and books, you may not be interested in playing the games. but i would recommend the books, the first book in the series is Halo: The fall of Reach by Eric Nylund. Its a very sci fi/millitary style franchise.
Please watch some of the earlier Halo trailers! Easily some of the best in gaming. Remember Reach and ODST are simply phenomenal

Theres no single trailer that really displays the origin lore of Halo in its entirety in a single video, but There was an anthology series called Halo Legends, that gave a handful of Artists and directors to make a bunch of Halo short stories (Some more canon then others). 2 Episodes in particular Called Halo Legends: Origin - Part 1 and Part 2, can offer you a TLDR version of the Halo lore, up to the end of Halo 3 I think. other than that I dont think theres an official companion guide, though there are a ton of Halo lore aficionados on UA-cam such as; Halo Canon, EckhartsLadder, SameToken, Installation00, HiddenXperia, and more (just to name a few of the Halo community content creators out there).
It's called a "Season 1 Trailer" because many games now a days are broken seasonal content. Ranked modes are set by seasons, kind of like a sports season starting and ending, resetting ranks then starting again. New game content is also added on season start. That's a simple explanation.
There's actually a really good book series that follows the full story of Halo, including the games. It's a good time if you enjoy space operas.

If you wanna get a bit of a catch up on some basics for the Human-Covanent war and halo lote in general I would recommend Origins part 1 & 2 from halo legends or the Templin Institute has a video on it I believe.
I saw someone recommended the book Contact Harvest, which might be good, but the things I mentioned above are things you could react to probably if you wanted that kind of source

Halo is known for having the Best of the Best when it comes to trailers and lore videos, even fan made videos are often high end quality and the story always hits you in the feels. Look up the release trailers for Halo: ODST
