It was the same in the early 1990s when I lived there - the only place that had Victoria Bitter in London then was the Prince of Teck in Earls Court Road.

We were only there for 4 days, so just casually cruised around. Spent a bit of time in Camden. Really just tube hopped from pub to pub haha, with some sight seeing on the way ;)
Omg! Just came across these vids! Completely forgot some of the places you visited and I had just mentioned for you to go and you already had been there lol! So glad you have been there :D
I don't know why it's so odd for me to see you walking around my city, haha. Shoreditch is the best and I wish you had more time to explore, London is so much more than the typical postcard areas.
I was in London for literally hours last year when I went to Ireland and was returning back to Canada thru a connecting flight. It was such a fun adventure thru the tube to the royal palace, Trafalgar Square, big ben, and getting completely rain stormed on :P Hotel looks pretty cool! Cant wait to re-explore London one day!
Lachlan Neil: The Elizabeth Tower of the Palace of Westminster is not another name for Big Ben, which is a bell. Officially known as the Great Bell and nicknamed Big Ben, it is housed toward the top of the Elizabeth Tower. Cast in 1858, Ben weighs 13.5 tons and is cracked. It's the larger of the five bells within the tower and the one which chimes the hours (the four smaller bells chime the quarter-hours). The clock is known as the Great Westminster Clock and has four faces.

Back in the 60s Earls Court in West London was the Aussie centre. Londoners called it "Kangaroo Valley".
