Ferguson also said it to Kevin Lee, it must be something that is hard to actually pull off in a fight. Basically like saying "you are so bad I am going to ankle pick you". Also I wonder where Cael Sanderson would be if he had competed in MMA, he probably would have smashed people.

Literally 50% of Sanderson's offense right there. You get good at ankle pick, you can be 75% of the competition.

@skinsalltheway1 not really. He's teaching a move, so the guy's gotta resist a little bit so he doesn't fall.
I love pulling moves like this. Especially in late 3rd period and overtime my opponents are usually too tired too defend it well or even react.

@cooltoon666 Thats true. If you wrestle a good varsity guy or any good wrestler he WONT let you get his arm like that. I shoot ankle picks from out of tie all the time.
MMA wrestling and collegiate/freestyle wrestling are two very different things. GSP would be the better wrestler in an MMA match, obviously, but would not stand a chance in a freestyle match.

Old School Music that’s my favorite set up is an underhook to a ankle pick but its a very obvious setup so you have to be fast
so this is only effective if you're taller than the other guy you're wrestling?

The most difficult part of this setup is sneaking the controlled wrist down that low without them anticipating an ankle pick.

Awesome set up I've actually been trying to look up a set up like this because I love to tie up and usually set up head toss lateral tosses and so on but I've never been to fond of lower body takedowns but I'll give this a shot
If your trying lateral Ross's and can't even shoot that's a problem
The eaiest move is to step on a guys foot and push the heavier the better

is it really that easy to just toss them like that?
If you nail the move then yes. But it takes hundreds or even thousands of hours of practice to be able to nail the move on a tough opponent.
