I loved the pop up camera trend It's crazy that they discontinued it because durability concerns of the mechanical parts but there are still a lot of phones with pop up camera that are still fully functioning 4 years later.

I was a big LG fan and was disappointed they stopped making cells. They had a good cameras for the day.
Same 😭. The LG Rollable would have been groundbreaking. Imo , it would have been better than the folding phones of today. The phone was already completed, LG should have launched it.
LG was The brand for phone enthusiasts. I was shocked they closed it.
Still enjoy picking up my G5 with a HiFi DAC from Bang&Olufsen from time to time.

Using v60
You'll Love the v60, what a beast of a phone. It literally does everything and battery life is crazy, with and without the dual screen which is a must to own.
I still use a LG smartphone. It's the LG G8 thinq. I live in Germany so I had to buy it from the US. For me still the best phone!
That's my favorite LG phone, the air gesture and boom box features are amazing. The LG v60 got me into folding phones and why I own the OnePlus open now.
I am typing this on a G7 ThinQ that was in a toilet for a little while. It's been a couple months but it still works almost just as well as when I got it.
The LG Wing is my favorite phone of all time. The form factor is just so useful, I think even more so than the new dual screen foldables. The real bummer is that since there are no cases for it a recent fall caused the swivel screen to stop working entierly, and there is no other phone on the market to replace it with.
Reminds me a lot of the Microsoft Surface Duo 1/2. I think the average user (who are even aware these devices exist) just don't see the point of the extra complexity. But when you actually use these unique devices you really start to appreciate what they can do beyond the usual "fundamentals." The device simply augments what a "regular" phone can do. The extras are so endearing that you soon fall in love with the device. Great vid! 👍🏻

Still going great even after 3 years!
Modern phones do tempt me to upgrade, but logically speaking...I can still use the Wing for another year or two without any issue!
There are some nice cases and the aurora back colour or how its called is much better regarding fingerprints. I still have mine and use it occasionally

Technically, LG is still in business, just not in smartphones anymore. But they are still making the TONE FREE earbuds!

Camers are ois and eis at the same time the best lg camera was the lg v30 better than everything at its time! Yep I'm an LG fan boy but for good reason but so many great phones with Android didn't get the respect they deserve I just wish the average Joe realized there are more than apple or Samsung as these companies steal or rather take others ideas but the LG wing is one of a kind no doubt!

I have wing in my collection and I use this phone like as main device 6 mounts in 2023. Keyboard delicious, software great. Although snap 765 performance was petty good

I have only had my lg wing for about a week and i think its quite a good phone the only problem with it in the uk is you dont get any updates to the latest anroid version because lg no longer make or sell phones

LG wing beats most mid range phones even in 2024 ive had tye phone since November 2020 but i still use it but the cameras have ois and eis so you can run ane film yes run! An engineering delight i love watching media in the top screen while messagin in rhe bottom LG invented the slide screen b4 andoid existed and inveted the slide down menu bar and were the first to introduce dual camera on the back LD are inovatirs and lost alot of money developing the LG wing so they said they will stick to TV's! Ive used LG phones while others were using ericson and nokia this phone is way ahead of its time just ask Marty Mcfly haha back to the future

Please find and review the asus padfone it was a laptop tablet and phone in one back in 2011 it had batteries in the key board and screen I'd get 3 days use while travelling without a charge I'd love to send you the one I have it is still android 4.1 but way ahead of its time if you want to review it I'll send it to you! Still holds charge but UA-cam dont work haha the 4.1 inch phone slid in the back of the tablet screen which made it tablet mode also you could click the dedicated keyboard with 2 full size USB ports it was amazing! It people's fault as they can't see the future! LG and Asus are innovators! look up a you tube page BASIC thinking they can show you how we went backwards to go forwards! Innovation costs too much that's why Samsung wasn't even the first at a fold screen! Thanks for the review

4:58 As a LG fanboy, it's okay we understand. LG did a horrible job marketing their phones and the bigger YT creators didn't help either. I still hate MKHD for calling LG the master of none! The v60 is a masterpiece with the dual screen, the G8 has great features as well
LG is giant technology king and legend than entire other... But their marketing team not good, so not sold well as it how excellent

EVERYTHING you u said about the LG Wing is the absolute truth! It hurts my heart that LG folded because they always provided some of the most interesting phones available in the market.
I hope you do more content on the LG Wing 5G as it is still being sold even in 2024 at a high volume by eBay and AliExpress. If you get to 40,000 in December you can buy me another LG Wing 5G, LOL. I want to have a backup should the when I currently use have an incident.

I have the Vivo X90 Pro Plus. Great phone, but it's so annoying, I can't get notifications. Even Playstore doesn't help. So frustrating. I'll never buy a Chinese only smartphone again for this reason.
So, I just bought this LG Wing for £260 with 256gb and dual sim. Not received it yet, it's coming from China. It's unlocked, I'm not expecting much from the cameras, as I know it's 4yrs old, but I love the innovation of LG.

I owned LG phones back in 2014 and 2015 with the LG G3 and G4 respectively. At the time of release they were the most advanced phones in the world. Wasn't too impressed with the G5 and switched to Samsung S7 Edge in 2016. From there I went to S8+ in 2017, S10+ in 2019 and the Z Fold 2 in 2020. VIVO X Fold 2 in 2023 and the rest is history :)

Sorry you missed out on LG. Excellent phones they were. Current owner of 3 Lg G8's and 3 Lg V60's. Current phone is a Oneplus 11 and the screen is better on the Lg V60. Keep switching back to the V60.
The only LG phone I've ever had was the LG Stylo something or other. It was back in 2015 I think. Still for a budget device it was nice.
I also had the OnePlus 7 pro and 7T pro, both of which had a pop up selfie camera. It was really nice and I'm not sure why we moved away from pop up cameras.

Today for almost the same price would you prefer LG Wing or Pixel 6 Pro? I had an LG Wing a couple of years ago and conceptually loved it much, much more than my current Fold 4, but nowadays it feels like it is too outdated and still costs 350 Euro...

Yeah,I have one and the headphone jack is good.
But is not the best anymore,the best is the Moondrop Miad 01,which has a better headphone jack,in fact,a dual headphone jack.
You know, I think I owe LG an apology too, because there's no way that I should not have bought this phone.
I guess at the time when it was released, I listened to a lot of UA-camrs bash this phone, and I let all of the negative reviews influence my decision.
But I still should've got this phone anyway, because there's nothing else like it on the market. This truly is innovation. 🤦🏿
