If LG is planning a comeback to the smartphones business, They should start with the V Series and the Wing model..The LG Wing might not be the most powerful smartphone but it is the most unique smartphone.
Yeah the wing was the first phone and what was something that was going to be called the explorer project which would have included the rollable. It's really sad that the wing is the only piece of this project we ever got to see. I would love to see a former LG employee leak some of the plans for weird phones they had. But the V-Series was great especially when they added the dual screen. had stylus upport on both screens, class leading battery life, was released in a good year for Qualcomm chips because the 865 was still being fabricated by TSMC (unlike the 888 and the 8g1 which would have probably nuked to 30% of the battery life and caused a bunch of throttling like it did to all the subsequent flagships). Not to mention that it's worth its price as a dac alone these days. And even has a perfectly serviceable desktop mode that works wired and wirelessly. It's not as good as dex or Motorola's ready for but it was well with on its way and still perfectly functional. V60, wing, G8X, v50, velvet .. LG really went out with a bang
@@aesenethasaytuno5546other phones will do most of the basics better because of new hardware and innovation. For us who still have LG phones, like the Wing, appreciate them for their out-of-the-box ideas. If LG decided to make their WING to compete with the Samsung S pen series phone, the LG wing would definitely be an amazing phone. Imagining using the LG pen to draw or write on the mini screen when using the mouse pad option.
I hope LG reconsider and makes the wing their official competitor against Spen series. There's so much innovation they could do with the small screen. The small screen could be used as a drawing/note assistant pad. Even better if the LG wing ran windows

Yeah I have both the G8X and the wing. Personally I don't really even detect a difference between 765 and 855. I'm sure technically the 8:55 has better GPU but does not impact my use case. Plus 765 has the benefit of 5G, although I really don't care about that at all living in the United States. One thing I do like about the G8x is that it's relatively pocketable for a dual screen phone. And unlike the wing it comes with the Hi-Fi DAC..
I do not notice the chipset on the day-to-day use case. It's not something you notice but browsing speed or shutter speeds, it's only something that you would notice if you're gaming or trying to render 4K video or something. I think some enthusiasts get caught up in geekbench figures without realizing that for day-to-day usage, web browsing and basic interactivity is almost identical on a 765g versus an 865 versus an 8g2. Unless you're doing some serious productivity work, or gaming extensively , why do people need the latest chipset? If anything the 888 and the 8g1 we're overall and negative because they had to throttle it so much due to heat and poor battery life. Under sustained use, a phone with the 8g1 throttle to the point that it's really only performing about as well as a 765
