I'm surprised by how uncharacteristically mild he is here... they must have threatened him right before he went on stage! He is still brilliant though!!!
MissFawlty jimmy is a smart comedian, he never starts rough he needs to make sure the crowd is okay with it and you can tell some of his earlier jokes they didn't like, basically he was working the crowd to find their sense of humour, and their sense of humour is anything not controversial because it's Canada
Brawndo not really? Jimmy's humour is a little more controversial, it's not that the audience got his humour it's more that jimmy got the audiences humour and adapted to suit it
philip demmon -- Exactly. They aren't as into it. That's a sign. If the majority of a crowd at a comedy show seems to have an, "Eh. It was alright," type of reactionary laugh, then that's not a good thing. Of fucking course not EVERYONE is going to be as into it as others. It's about majority. No need to act like a self-righteous twat. You clearly don't know how comedy shows even work.
+peterpiperdiedharper I think its just a suprise joke, something you wouldnt expect him to say and/or a joke about him having undergone a gender surgery
It's also Jimmy's style to poke fun at phrasing. Everyone understands the question, "What were you like in school?" to mean "How good a student were you/How were your grades?" But if you take away that general understanding, the wording of the question seems directed more at a description of one's appearance or personality than performance (for example, a parent who is asked, "What was Grandpa like?" by a child might respond with, "Well, he was tall, very handsome, with a cheerful voice, and he was incredibly generous, kind, and loving."). So Jimmy, with his extremely dry, sarcastic sense of humor, responds in the most surprising way possible (which is also an ironic juxtaposition of opposites, of sorts, given that he, being tall, white, male, and British, could not be further from a "little black girl.")
Don't get me wrong, he's really funny; but he tends to just tell jokes one after another that don't connect to one amother. I feel like the best comedians are the ones that tell short to long stories or anecdotes with proper comedic timing, and doesn't just tell jokes one after another with no connection.
He does both yet seems this wasn’t his show and it was time slotted. Not to Mention his material in this is very tame and dad like, he’s normally very edgy which is what I like best about him. The best is his quick wit when he banters with the audience and hecklers.
The joke is that you use carpet cleaner to clean up the mess from spilling something on the carpet. So if you spill carpet cleaner, it basically takes care of itself 😬

+MissFawlty Cuz everyone who comes to Just For Laughs is a baby.
Americas side of the world don't really get British humour. It's called taking the piss.

Canada seems to be the worst audience for the likes of Jimmy Carr. It is almost as if they are too polite to understand offence!!!
And yet the camera pans to show the audience are laughing at his jokes.
What a crappy audience.
What year is it in Canada these days?
+pop per 2007, as the title says
+pop per What's wrong with the audience? Unfamiliar accent in a bilingual french/english city and they seem to be digging his humour.

They have been trudoped.. Happening in New Zealand as well !
The sound quality sounds like he's been run through an 80s Alesis reverb.
Pfff, the last one killed me xD
Too mild for jimmy. Plus it's just short and slowly spoken jokes.
Because its JFL show, they have some boundaries.
Smart humour....
Lol that explains why the audience was so quiet because I was dying xD
so smart i dont understand, i need to raise my iq
These arent even great jokes. Why am i laughing?
I don't get the "I was a little black girl joke". Anyone kindly care to explain?

I am. The taxi joke is good, although predictable.
Uploaded 2 yrs ago, was in 2007. Year right now: 2018.
No, it's 2019!!!
Only the British dry humor can we truly laugh at ourselves. Sorry, I mean others!
Oh dang watching this you realize he still using 98% of these jokes 13 years later. Comedians really struggle that hard to get material?
