I prefer poha (can use thick or thin poha) as it gives fluffyness for the surnoli, which also gives good pores when prepared. You can use cooked rice, provided it not older than 24 hr of preparation. Try it.. I gave a proportion here using poha, which gives you exactly the same texture of surnoli.
It's a heavy pancake like dosa, as we use coconut... We mostly serve it hot along fresh dolop of butter You can also have it along any curry of your choice, even goes good with chicken/mutton curry. But it's stomach filling. 😀

U can keep it overnight to ferment for atleast 8 hours n use any measuring cup or bowl u have at home
