    These guys are 6'4 and the ball still bounces up to shoulder/head level. Literally impossible for anyone under 6 ft to keep up with this kind of pace and spin. Schwartzman is a legend for doing what he's doing

    That's cool.
    I've been to Indian Wells 4 times and I have watched all the top players on the practice courts- Federer, Djoker, Murray, Nadal, Serena, etc. They are all champions and they practice like champions. Simple- you play how you practice. I've seen it up close. Not making as many mistakes as your opponent is the name of the game. Rarely can you "out winner" a top level player. The stats prove that over and over.

    Kyrgios does a lot of unnecessary windup on his forehand

    • @ryan_jane4257
      @ryan_jane4257 6 років тому +4

      Yes, Thiem has unnecessary windup according to your definition of unnecessary windup. But to my definition; It's the relation between the core the his hand, since he swing so fast and create so much racket acceleration. Thiem must have a strong hold or the tennis balls that he hit would be flying off his strings and fly to the back fence; with little or no control at all. See, Nadal and Federer for example, they both has a very strong hold. If you see Nadal hits his normal forehand you will see his racket come to a completely stop next to his should; with all his arm muscle and core muscle flexed. Same with Federer he also has a strong hold, and sometimes do the same windup as Thiem, if you will. Thiems' windup is necessary according to my knowledge.

    I'm a 4.0 player and these guys warm up as sloppy as I do sometime!
    I can't imagine that they have gotten to this level with such poor preparation- look at all of the top players when they warm up/practice- pretty clean hitting, very smooth, not very many balls in the net or scattered all over the court....
    Except Nadal- he seems to just want to hit the cover off the ball every-single-time... not very pretty, but at least he WINS!

    • @justinchan5649
      @justinchan5649 6 років тому +10

      Super G! Practice doesn't have to be clean for smooth. Simply because it's the time to take chances, make errors and learn new techniques. Sure you may practice more proper but have a look at their shots. The pace in those shots and the topping they apply are pro level. I can guarantee no 4.0 player hit these shots as accurately.
