i actually had this storyboarded back in 2020, and recently found the time to remake it! i feel like the characterization of hamilton and burr fit naruto and sasuke really well :)

You could argue that Sasuke might have felt he was being forced to Wait for it when Naruto started catching up in Part 1. Heck, in Shippuden, Sasuke acknowledges that Naruto was always running ahead of him like Itachi did, exhibiting his ability to forge on ahead no matter the circumstances while Sasuke’s own version of doing the same thing sank him further in darkness… kind of like Burr sank into darkness when he finally stopped waiting for it. 😊

I agree that's ironic but at the same time it also fits with Itachi being like do whatever you can to survive and Sasuke having like this existential crisis in dangerous situations (i.e. Sasuke vs Orochimaru the first one) because he had been told to cling to life
