those were some cool tricks. however you should try my plugin Manta. it lets you adjust the resonance of its parallel bandpass filters seperately from their gains. that's useful because resonance controls the length of the ringing. and there's also a tuned comb filter on each band. and its frequency knob snaps to pitches. so it's essentially designed specifically for situations like this
