i just noticed that the DMA says "YOU" to curt before he fully turns around
he recognizes curt BY HIS VOICE aLONE even though its been YEARS and (judging by the DMA's genuine surprise) curt was probably the LAST person he was expecting to encounter at some random bomb deal
And he says ‘that was quick’ to Tati and in the reveal episode she recognised him so I like to think he was expecting her to show up and that they have some sort of history

I know it’s not in this part but I also love in the torture tango when DMA and Curt sing “it gets me high to show you the horror of staying alive” and “it doesn’t even matter that I killed my best friend” at the same time when the three sing together; i get chills every time
for all we know curt probably haunts him as well, just they haunt each other in very different ways

I obviously love everything in this musical, but the moment around 3:23 is probably my favorite of all - when Joey says with a little approving smile "I can see that" and then makes worried face and nervously drums with his fingers on the bombcase :) He is always so good at this tiny moments, which gives his characters so much life!

When Deadliest Man Alive was willing to sign for Segio’s nephew, I thought it was weird because you’d think he would be more discreet. Suddenly, him being Owen makes sense.
Also, it’s also kind of clever that DMA got his leitmotif from another Joey Richter character

I love that at 5:35 The Deadliest Man tried to shoot Curt with his own gun. We see later that in Torture Tango Owen/Deadliest Man prefers to deal with Curt slowly, but here he was still 100% willing to kill his former lover within seconds after not seeing him for four years, and the only reason he didn't was Curt's gun was out of bullets. That's how much Owen hates him now. It's a small but impactful detail that kicks in upon a re-watch.

The humans in Starkid and TCB productions are my favourite ever
I think the number of times I’ve randomly started singing, “these bombs ain’t gonna sell themselves” out loud matches the number of people the Deadliest Man Alive has killed
Here for a rewatch and Clark and Pierce deserve the world for this song and Brian, Joey, and Corey deserve the world for how it flows through the scene with the reprises and everything. SO so so good. I'm in love with this song.
