- NONE OF THESE CLIPS ARE MINE, THEY ALL BELONG TO TIN CAN BROTHERS. I feel like these are getting longer each time I do them bc it keeps getting harder to cut songs bc they're SOOO GOOD. Also don't get mad at me I'm sensitive (plus I truly love all these songs a lot).

Also half (ooh more halves) half of me headcanons Sergio as this beautiful family man and then the other half of me thinks he lives alone and just doesn't want to walk into a meeting with the deadliest man alive with a box of cake that he was going to eat by himself.

and the overlap of the lines "doesn't even matter if i killed my best friend" and "to show you the horror of staying alive" makes it all the more powerful when you realise the ending honestly i'm just cowen angst trash tbh it's just such a well-written song and it's so under-appreciated and i love it-

@@rachelmink9675 It's based on an image from an actual Nazi propaganda video which had dozens of people forming a giant human swastika. The image was replicated in The Producers' 'Springtime For Hitler' primarily to show how ridiculous it looks outside of the propaganda context and I'm guessing that's ultimately where Lauren took the idea from.

@Julie Kavanagh there were already more than I expected when I got in my saf hyperfixation, some very good ones too, and some longer ones which I wasn't expecting, great fandom tbh (also my hyperfixations don't last very long, usually one week, a month when I'm lucky, so that was enough for me)

Yay! There's not enough SAF content out there! Ranking these songs had to be tough. I love Starkid/TCB but usually there's at least one song in their shows that I don't care about. EVERY song in this show is amazing.

Joey's character was my favourite. I mean, Joe technically did play Owen, but he was more the "unrelated" Deadliest Man Alive. I just loved the arch for Owen in general, and Joey is a fantastic actor and singer.

We Love The Prince would definitely be in my top 3. It's funny, Joey's acting is so good, it's pure passive aggressiveness, and Lauren as choreographer is just perfect
I love this series of videos you make. They water my crops and cure my depression. Also, am I a bad Jew is Not So Bad is my favorite song? Seriously. Brian Rosenthal is amazing and I am a sucker for guys singing high notes, I am a sucker for harmonies, I am a sucker for just Lauren Lopez (my goddess), and this song is just too funny.
There's just so much here I love about this musical. Like the three girls are my goddess and two amazing queens that I have been following for years. Also as far at Curt Mega as Agent Curt Mega goes, don't forget that Joey Richter starred as Joey Richter in MAMD.
I was watching this next to my dad and when it got to "not so bad" he said how my great grandfather was captured by nazis and he was treated very well by them but the other prisoners weren't and that he was probably treated well because he was German and could speak German. And he escaped the place he was being held captive just by walking out.
When you used cowen as the ship name, I thought, "That uses all of Owen's name and only one letter of Curt's" then I thought about it more, and that sounds about right with the characters.
sometimes i forget that spies was choreographed by Lauren Lopez and then i remember and cackle because the choreo is so great

Almost all of the songs in this musical, I listen to separately, and even those that I tend to skip over, are still great (like Not So Bad, And Barb’s Lament). That’s saying something, considering that I have a tendency to only listen to the songs that I really like - which usually happen to either be ballads or group numbers, e.g: Spy Again And Torture Tango. To put into context, with a musics like The Guy Who Doesn’t Like Musicals, I tend to skip over most of the songs, and only have a select few that I love to listen to (TGWDLM, Inevitable and Show Stopping Number.)
You deserve so much praise for ranking these songs as all of them are so amazing and have so much thought behind them and just how did you do this I appreciate this so much (also love your comments xoxo)

"We Love the Prince" is so Gilbert and Sullivan that it's giving me opera house usher flashbacks (I had to be on duty for an entire month's run of HMS Pinafore because there were barely any volunteers. Those songs are never leaving my brain).
One Step Ahead and Torture Tango are my favorite songs too, for that reason if I was in a production of it and I could pick from Owen or the Deadliest Man Alive I would have a really hard time picking
