No offense to those who like what's most popular ( I love my Metis), as long as it fits the lifestyle. It's a bummer that so many unboxings are becoming so predictable or that people's wish lists are almost identical. I'd like to think we're all more unique than that. Then again, some things just work! P.s, not strange!
That was a fun unboxing. Your enthusiasm is contagious. It's perfect for you - who says that a "workhorse" bag cannot be gorgeous too. Looking forward to your review on it. I am especially interested in seeing how the strap drop does on totes, so could you include a mod shot or two, as well? Have fun with your new bag!
I will be doing a comparison video very soon and will try to include some mod shots. In the meantime, I did wear the bag over a heavy winter coat today and the straps were perfectly comfortable on me. :)

I have never owned a Totally, but I understand that is basically the "replacement" for the Totally in the LV line. It appears to be very similar in size and usefulness. I love the front zip pocket on the Iena better than the Totally open, edge pockets. If you are wanting a Totally, grab it now, as it is going to be discontinued (Monogram already gone, I believe). :) Thanks!!
Just Jennifer I really like the look of the Iena than totally. The front pocket is so functional as compared to the side pockets on totally as i worried that I might make the side leather curl up. I might consider doing exchange to Iena Damier Ebene if the store already bring in the stock. Enjoy your new bag😍

Thanks! Yes, I have had several Dooney and Bourke bags over the years, and that is probably where I learned that term. And, you're right...I meant the treated leather that you don't have to worry about in wet weather. ❤️
I currently have the Totally MM, but this looks like it may be bigger...... How's the strap? Is it comfortable? My Totally MM got fine cracking lines when I took it to New York during last winter. This strap looks different than the other Damier Ebene straps you find in the Totally or Speedy Bs. Is the leather different? Totally and Speedy B Ebenes have coated leather straps which can peel or crack......
Hi! Take a look at my Iena comparison video where I show the straps up close. They are different. But maybe the difference will make the leather less prone to cracking (?) :)
So much better than NF - I sold mine due to how the thin, sharp edged straps dug into my shoulder! This is a much more practical bag with the zipper and outer zipped pocket. Can't wait for the comparison NF comparison video!

I've bought real bags before. Slowly found that their selling price is getting higher and higher. Especially because of their depreciated value.
Wow I love that bag! I need a perfect light weight travel bag. I wish they'd make it in a GM size so if you can put that in your SA's ear...lol, but in the meantime I'm getting it. I'm on beyond ban island right now so I'll have to sell a few bags to justify the purchase but this is exactly what I've been looking for from LV. Everyone has and their wants the neverful bags but they look boring to me and I hate that they are open at the top. Thx for sharing!
Yes, I agree that it would be the absolutely PERFECT travel bag in GM! I'll see what I can do... LOL! Ban Island just can't hold me anymore...I keep finding ways off the island!! :) I have to say, your "neetabeeta" sounds so much like part of a Dutch prayer my husband learned as child to say before eating... :)

I love that the interior is brown! I'm probably in the minority here, but red isn't a favorite color of mine and it's a deterrent for me to getting the DE print.
I totally understand. I am not a pink person and all the pink that is out right now... though lovely for others, is just not for me. Also, I even bought the Favorite PM when I wanted the MM because the PM had the brown/plum interior and the MM had the red. Go figure..... :) xoxo
We think alike, I have been waiting for the DE since the monogram came out and I saw your review. I think I got the first one in Australia as the store had to order it for me before the stock even arrived. I got the PM size which is perfect for me. Jennifer I emailed LV and asked them where I can purchase the LV Iena Damier Ebene and they said it only come with Monogram canvas. If you don't mind me asking where did you buy yours. I'm really interested. Thanks in advance. I really like watching your videos.
Hi Jenny, It will be released on April 28, and LV will not officially give info on the bag until then. If you have a sales associate that you work with, tell him/her the model # is N41013. It should be in their system and in the LV Look Book. This is how my SA found it for me. She got permission from her manager to send it to me early. If you are able to order it using the model number, and pay for it when ordering, your sales associate will get it to you as soon as it's available. I hope this helps. :)

This bag is just my style. Now I'm torn between this bag and the Neonoe. I have the Totally MM but I feel like it's too tall. underneath my arm (if that makes sense) How much smaller is this bag than the Totally MM? Thanks for your videos... I enjoy them :)
Hi Susanne, the Totally MM is 16.9Lx11.8Hx6.7W and the Iéna MM is 16.5Lx10.5Hx6.7W. SO the Iéna is a little over an inch shorter than the Totally. I hope this helps! A comparison/what fits video will be up tomorrow morning and I show a few awkward mod shots, too. :) Thanks!! xo
congratulations. honestly I was skeptical when it first came out in monogram. it looked like some replica you find on eBay (lol don't hate me!) but I must say this one in DE is perfect 👌. and that plum interior wow. great for work bag or travelling isn't it?
LOL! I would never hate you!! I know what you mean, though. It really s a basic, non-glamorous type of bag...but so perfect in it's simple, functional design.

I believe this bag actually looks better in the Damier print and I'm a big mono fan! I owned the Totally, gifted it to my daughter in law and was looking for something to replace it. This may be it. Thanks for sharing and enjoy it come rain or shine.

Hi Sarah. I was referring to the bag that was later called the Duomo (it was originally known as the Besace in the LV lookbook, before it was available to buy, so I was calling it that) I do not have a South Bank Besace, but I sure do think it is cute! x

Damier Ebene is Beautiful. I had this in Monogram and it drove me crazy the vatachetta staining all the time and worrying about it getting dirty so I exchanged it for Damier ebene so much better

Love ur video on this bag.I was thinking of replacing my neverfull as first one was starting to show a lot of wear etc.I love it for a carry on(holds sooo much) and the like the option of making smaller if preferred when reaching your destination.I ran across your video today and love this bag and thinking I might like it better than the neverfull due to zipper.Do you think it will expand as much as the neverfull? I'm planning on buying a small to medium bag or two 😂j on upcoming trip and hoping they fit in this bag to take home as I don't want to check them in and one of my flights will be a small jet and they take the accepted carry on luggage for this flight so that would not be an option for me to bring my bags home safely..Would appreciate ur thoughts before I purchase.Thanks Doll🤗
Hi Connie (Connie is my sister's name!) I know a pochette metis fits in the iena, and a pochette accessoires and chanel woc fit in the pochette metis....so if the bags you are considering are of similar sizes, or a tiny bit bigger, you should be fine. :)

Hi Jennifer, I'm new to your channel and love all your videos. I have the Iéna PM in the mono and really like it for everyday. I do have a question though, usually LV bags have an imprint where they are made but I didn't see one on mine, just the LV Paris on the tabs and in the front. Does your bag show where it was made? Just curious! Love the DE print as well.

Jennifer, i really like this bag and if i buy it it will be my first LV. I do have a question though. Do the straps stay on your shoulder and are they longer than the neverfull mm? Thanks for the reply, your answer will help me decide.
Hi Barb! The straps stay on my shoulder just fine! I adore this bag!! The strap drop is exactly the same (9 inches) as on the Neverfull MM, but the way the bag sits on the shoulder...the top of the bag sags down a bit and it feels like more room...if that makes sense. If you can get to a store and try it on, that would be perfect. If not, you can always order it and return it if it does not work for you. I really think this is an amazing LV bag and would recommend it for anyone starting out with LV! Good luck and follow your heart. You have to do what feels right to YOU. :)

My iena did not come with the lock. I asked Louis Vuitton and they said it wasn't supposed to come with it. Did you buy yours separetely or it came with the bag?
Mine came with the lock! The same thing happened when I bought the Iéna in monogram...mine came with a lock and aome others did not. So inconsistent. Keep fighting for it! Good luck.
Reimyokazak mine came with a lock and two keys.

Hi! I suppose the one you choose would depend on whether she prefers a crossbody type bag or a shoulder carry type bag. Both are excellent choices, and it would come down to the preference of how it would be used. The south bank would be a bit harder to "dress up", I think. Crossbody bags are always a more casual look. So, think hard about where she would use it, what functions, etc....then go with whichever one makes her most happy! Good luck with your decision, and let me know what you decide!! :)

Jennifer: it looks absolutely perfect! Very "smart" and "chic". I think it WILL be a great travel bag, as you mentioned in your video. Confession : when you unboxed yoir first first one, the monogram one..... and then did the return video, due to the curling tab possibility, I didn't think the curling tab issue would be bad, since I had had the Totally in monogram and didn't recall the tabs curling too badly(mine only did ever so slightly ), but after you returned yours, I saw one on ebay that was only 6 months old, and the tabs were facing heaven, lol! I have also been looking for a basic zip-top tote, just a good everyday bag, especially for travel, when you need extra security! Just Jennifer love this bag I've been thinking about getting a neverfull mm in the Damier ebene but now I'm thinking about this bag instead seems like this bag is a bit like the neverfull except with a zip top closure and front pocket.

I tried on the Kensington Bowling, too. Adorable bag! The leather on this Iéna is different from the other DE leather I have on other bags, so I'm assuming it's the nicer leather you were describing. I have watched your videos on this bag a dozen times--I love it, probably partly because of your enthusiasm. Question: others on UA-cam who review the newest Damier bags have commented on a noticeable change in the thickness of the canvas. What do you think?
They have commented that the older Damier Ebene bags are more substantial in the canvas quality.
I truly think that LV decides which thickness of canvas to use on their bags depending on the design of the bag. My pochette metis has a thick canvas and my Iena is a bit smooshier. My 2012 Speedy 30 in Damier Ebene has a thickness somewhere in between. :)
