Nice job Tanner! I just finished a similar dining table build and tackled the challenge of making my own pedestals. I used softer poplar on the pedestals to make the bandsaw work a little easier. Definitely a stressful experience trying to cut them out and maintain some symmetry between the two pedestals but turned out great.
