The best chip shop is "The Sea" next to the Winter gardens. They serve fish and chips on proper plates not cardboard and they do an OAP special for £10-00. Fish and chips, bread and butter and a cup of tea. For an evening meal "The Gurkha" on Waterloo Rd is excellent. Also "The curry Leaf in Bispham and "Imli" for a curry in St Annes.
I visited the Blackpool illuminations in1962 I think, and remember one of the illuminations was promoting a Walt Disney film with young Haley Mills, "In search of the castaways". In those days there were many thousands strolling along the golden mile and slow processions of coaches loaded with sightseers. that is quite a contrast to present day

A great end to a day out in Blackpool. I used to like watching the trams decorated as steam trains and paddle steamers that was back in the 70's with propper bulbs instead of todays LED's If you want the best places to eat in Blckpool you need to venture away from the prom and go down the back streets, small cafe's serving great meals at more affordable prices. or propper Fish & Chip shops. Used to go to Blackpool every January for the British Homing World Pigeon show held in the winter gardens and the thing i always remember when going for Fish and Chips was the ques where miles long to get into the chippies but worth the wait and if not that hungry i would have got the corned beef pie and chips with gravy gorgeous on tonight's food a solid 8/10

Blackpool is probably visited more by people who are not that well off, so for me, I think that the food (although nice) was on the expensive side, but still a sold 8.

Looked nice that mate. Portion not overly big but still looked good quality. Price not cheap though. I'll go 8/10 buddy because of the price and size ratio, otherwise I'd have given more. On another note, did you hear about that fire on top of Blackpool tower the other day that wasn't actually a fire, it was some orange netting blowing in the wind? Wow! This made me want to visit Blackpool. I heard the name but never associated it with a summer place and especially not with a winter "wonderland." I live in North America and have always wanted to visit the UK. Blackpool was not on my list of places to visit, but it is now. Yes, keep on adding the travel elements to your videos. They are at least as interesting as the food reviews and to me, even more so. Your dinner looked good. I could hear that it was crispy and you obviously enjoyed it.

Looked nice that mate. Portion not overly big but still looked good quality. Price not cheap though. I'll go 8/10 buddy because of the price and size ratio, otherwise I'd have given more.
On another note, did you hear about that fire on top of Blackpool tower the other day that wasn't actually a fire, it was some orange netting blowing in the wind? When I first heard about there being a fire at the top of the tower, i thought to myself, how the hell did someone manage to get an Electric Car all the way up there🤣😅🤣😅.

Wow! This made me want to visit Blackpool. I heard the name but never associated it with a summer place and especially not with a winter "wonderland." I live in North America and have always wanted to visit the UK. Blackpool was not on my list of places to visit, but it is now. Yes, keep on adding the travel elements to your videos. They are at least as interesting as the food reviews and to me, even more so. Your dinner looked good. I could hear that it was crispy and you obviously enjoyed it.
