I am back from my trip and finally recovered enough from my cold to do a bit of filming. Since my time away was pretty busy I didn't get much time for art making. So I thought we could take a look at a few travel photos and do some gouache studies. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for watching.

Way to show up & dig in! Seems we are in a never ending phase of growth. By building your art muscles 💪 of observation, brush handling, w/ a focus on art fundamentals & and acceptance of being uncomfortable, we make space for the freedom to enjoy of the arting process. I think it takes an equal dose of guts, intention and, well at least for me stubbornness 😊 I totally agree that having an intentional focus helps us turn off that not-so-helpful distracting voice in our head. Appreciate you sharing with us. I could see where you were going. I remember another artist saying when they were focusing on a skill like values, especially early on, they too intentionally punched through with those darks. Like jumping in with both feet, to get comfy over there on the dark side lol. Anyhoo…so glad you enjoyed your trip. And how lovely you have so many memories to paint. Looking forward to the next ones. Oh, I’d love to see a neo 2 painting. Till next time 👋

Wow, really fantastic. Good for you to punch through the wall of unease with these very green landscapes. Fun fact: in German there is a word for this colour "Maigrün" which you can find on Schminckr and other 🇩🇪 paint brands. I relate to the difficulties around creating shapes and volume with the brushes. I am trying different brush shapes, and seems to be helping (riggers for branches, eggbert for twigs and grass, flat or angular cor lines) I ❤❤❤❤ the many.varietoes of greens you created. I live in 🇩🇪 and find this challenges. I always think "how many greens can I actually get out of my few colours?" and there always seem to be more in real life. So, congratulations 🎉 on getting such a variety and depth with these colour palettes. Landscapes do seem to be your thing. Keep going! Thanks for taking us on this painting journey
