This was cool.
Glad you dug it! It's a great comic. 😉
Excuse me? How beautiful is your art? Love it 😍
😊 thanks so much! 💛
My favourite sketch books. Just wish they did larger than A4.
The A4 is my go to! How big is your preferred size?
Know of a book with awesome colouring? Share it in the comments! 😉👍
So helpful! Thank you.
So glad! 😊🙌
Check the linked video for a full review of the Arrtx Acrylic Markers! 😉
I got one 9*14cm yesterday just because I was in an art store and I was okay I'm getting this😂😂
Me too! I like the big one best. I found it for 1/2 the price that is was on Amazon! I hope you like it! 🙌
Honestly that looks like a solid palette, not that I must have a phathlo green in my palettes but if it's there I loove to mix violets when mixing with pink 🥰 and I know some like to mix a black out of it, by mixing it with a red
What materials did you use? They are cute
Ink, watercolor, gouache, pencils 😉 I've basically tried everything in there though. I have a longer video linked!
Omg! I absolutely love your style! New subbie!
☺️💛
it really is a great challenge!! have a great weekend 🥰
❤️
Waaao
😉👍
Phthalo green and phthalo blue makes a gorgeous turquoise
😊🙌
Awww, they're so cuuute! :)
😊💛
Ohhhh the negative space ones definitely spoke to me - so cute!!
It's really fun! Give it a try! 😉❤️

🤔😁
That's what I've been using the Simtaps for, watched and enjoyed till the end ☺☺
😊👍
Super cute! My partner uses acrylic markers on skulls and drums
Ooooh that sounds fun! Does he paint sugar skull type things?
I would much prefer if you showed more of the painting process and made yourself smaller while doing that so we see more of the paining. But i really enjoyed this video, you made such a beautiful spread and im really inspired to go draw a bunch of kitties now!
Thanks for the feedback! I hope you had fun with your own cat spread! 🙌😻
Thank you for sharing your experience. Would you offer any alternatives to this spray? Looks like it’s not much efficient given that the money you pay for a spray bottle.
I think Sennelier is the most popular option. A few thin layers at the appropriate distance does a pretty good job. I went too close and too heavy at the end - definitely what not to do! 😅But yes it is pricey. I bought another highly recommended fixative from SpectaFix called Degas. I have the old packaging and the spray isn't fine. They have upgraded their packaging to a mist sprayer. I will try it out in a video once I transfer it into a mister. 😉
@@warmyellowshade I bought the same product about three years ago, hoping to use it with gouache. Unfortunately, the spray mist was terrible and left big, uneven drops on my sketch-thankfully, it wasn’t a finished piece! I ended up transferring it to one of my fine mist bottles (which I usually use for watercolor), hoping that would help. But after testing it on a oil pastel sketch just now, I’m disappointed; the spray still leaves drops that just sit on top of the paint like water (I used Rubens Haiya). Should I buy it again and try using the original bottle? Also, I don’t think this product is suitable for oil pastels, but it could definitely work on soft pastels or chalk. If you’ve used that product before, please share your experience! I’d love to hear different suggestions and tips.
@@hadiboya Sounds like you have tested it out more that I have! And yes I have only tried it on dry mediums - pencils & soft pastels. From what I gather the new bottle is a fine mister spray, and is supposed to work much better. I have also seen people transfer it into the fine mist bottles usually sold for beauty use. I have heard that the Sennelier Oil Pastel is quite good but also very expensive. Alternatively I have seen some oil pastel artists protect their work with a sheet of glasine paper. But most recommend to get it under glass (a frame) as soon as possible. These are such tricky mediums to preserve! I hope that helps!
❤
☺️🙌
Where do I find pictures like yours? I'm not good at drawing unless I copy on any books. Love your pictures 👌
Thank you! Here is a link to my Pinterest Boards if you want to take a look around. pin.it/1Ryxa1Lpq Copying from people you admire is a great way to learn! I'll make a video soon about some of my favorite books. 💛
As you're talking, I'm feeling like your voice could be coming from my head! I too live rural and feel that need for colleagues in my day to day life. I also gave up on Instagram this year and am solely focusing on UA-cam, where I've had more engagement in a month then I ever had in my entire life on Instagram! I think art and artists are particularly suited to long-form video as opposed to short form. It's been 6 months since I left insta and I don't miss it in the least. Not even DM's. Also your art is really lovely. Subscribed!
BTW, are you from Canada? I noticed a Ziggy's container in the background 🇨🇦
Love your diy palette, 😍 it is very cute🧡. Seeing this, I'm thinking to get the sennelier aquamini set for now. I think it will be easy to travel with and it has the basic colours that will be good enough for doing landscape pieces. And also will get some open stock of a few unusual shades that i love like a very bright pink. a very bright green, also potters pink (idk if sennelier has this) also indigo and maybe a pastel blue kind of shade. Idk what i will do with these colours😄 but i bet a colour wheel with these colours will be helpful. Thanks for making this video. It was really helpful. 🧡
You are very welcome. Those little sets do seem to have some nice colours. And they are very cute too! ☺️
Lovely 😊
Thanks! ☺️
phthalo green + nickel azo yellow makes a great "home base" green! Neutralise it a bit with a red, brown, or orange for nice natural greens. Also, pthalo green with something like quin magenta or quin rose makes surprisingly nice purples! You have to try it, it's mind-bending.
Oooh this sounds exciting! Thanks for all the suggestions!! ☺️👍
So happy I got to be a tiny part of your art journey!!!
Not so small 🧡🖤🧡 We had fun didn't we?! 🙌 In between panic attacks. 😅
Great to see and get to know you abit more! Great video 😊.. all the best
Thanks Johnny! ☺️
@@warmyellowshade your very welcome 😀✌️🥰
My go to had been moleskine until I tried the Arts Creations. I've been almost exclusively using them in all formats for 2,5 years now. They absolutely stole my heart. I also work in all mediums except alcohol markers with a focus on watercolours. Chalk pastels, as you didn't mention them, work really well for me in the sketchbook, too🥰
I am sorely missing this large format now that I've finished it! I didn't expect to like a smooth paper so much. But I think I'll be ordering another. 😉 Thanks for the tip! 🙌
Another Phathlo green combo, mix Phathlo green and a true magenta = a purple/blue. It can also be mixed with some oranges to make an olive green. Lovely swatches!
Ooh thanks for that! I will try it out! 💚
phthalo green + alizarin crimson = almost black
Thanks! Good to know! 💚
My first foray into Sennelier watercolors was after I had begun building a palette which contained many of the "traditional" pigments. So, the first Sennelier purchase included Caput Mortum, Warm Sepia, Warm Grey, and Sennelier Grey. Subsequent purchases have included Chinese Orange, Sennelier Red, Cobalt Violet Deep Hue, and Olive Green; all of which I absolutely love! I placed an order for Sennelier's Quinacridone Gold just earlier today. I find that Sennelier, when well diluted, works beautifully for glazing.
Oooh I'd love to see what their Quin.Gold looks like! And I bet the Olive green is pretty too! 😍
Very cool! Did not realize you were a sculptor too, Love Swamp Thing.
I dabble. 😅 He's such a great monster!
I have used samples of sennelier watercolours and I really liked them a lot. Can you suggest some of the must have 6-8 colours/ shades that I can purchase from this brand. I think I don't need a lot of colours from the premade sets. I mostly do landscapes (both bright and muted, to dark). I'm a beginner and I get confused with the names and everything, so which ones to choose individually. It will be very helpful if you can suggest some shade name or numbers? .
I am not familiar with the full range of colours, but I will make a short with the swatches of the ones I own. Hopefully that will help you make a selection. 💛
@@warmyellowshade That will be great. Will be waiting... 🧡
Looks exactly like the 80s swamp thing…my favorite one!!! I also love trip hop!!!
🎶 It's the best! And thaaaaanks!! 🙌
*So true* 👏👏👏
💛
Thank you for this. It really resonated with me. It is sometimes easy to give up before starting, because getting ready is not considered part of the process. In my brain, at least. This gave me a few insights to consider and try. I want to send extra appreciation for the care you conveyed in your video. Your words were kind. You filmed the details often looked over to tell the story. Your voice was warm and compassionate. I am watching the video a few times to let it sink in and try before my next art session later today. Thanks again!
I'm sooooo very glad. I think getting into the mindset is half the battle won! I hope you have a wonderful next session. 💛
Nice to meet you 😉 I jus came here last week with your presentation of the Royal Talens Sketchbooks & I'd like to stay. Really like all your different videos 😊 And you're doing great with filming, keep going 💪😊 Like that you include your doggies, really love all your different camera angles & your voice over & that you take us with every step you make. Keep learning 💜
Hello Kristin! Nice to meet you too! Thanks for all your kind words. It's very encouraging. 🥰 And thanks sooooo much for sticking around!! 💛 The pups are studio residents, so they like to be involved. 😅
That's some great insight you had on using them 😊 How did you come up with all the different color combinations of your cheat Sheet? 😉
Just pulled a bunch of colours and mixed as many combinations as I could! 😅👍
The hardest stage is always just staring at the blank page ☺☺
Scribble on it so it's not blank anymore! 😁 I find using "used" paper or even lined paper sometimes helps with that. 😉💛
Omg thank you for the link to the cool toned set on Amazon Germany! I've only seen them for $75+ USD. I got them for $40 after the conversion rate!!
Awesome! 🙌 Enjoy! Looks like a really fun set!
I love their art too!! watched and enjoyed right till the end 🥰
He's hard not to love! 😉
Omg mine are on their way in the post how did UA-cam know this 😂😂 Thanks for the video and hi from a new subscriber ❤
Google knows everything! 😂 Thanks for the sub! ☺️🙌
😂😂😂I get ya
😂👍
I need this!! 😊
🤞 I hope they do another print run. ☺️💛
