- Once again, Weekend Paradise park hosted a beautiful day of Hot Rod "v-drive" boats to kick off 2020. The weather was perfect and the turnout was great! Thanks for all you do Wade!
Over an hour of great engine sounds and beautiful boats. Thanks for not mucking it up with added background music, the engines are all the music we need. Great job, thank you!

I remember watching the circle drag boats at Dexter lake outside of Eugene Oregon as a kid in the late seventies and still remember the “shotgun start” and the sound when all the boats came around the corner and got on it together! Never forgot the site and sound!!!

Just got done destroying the clutch in my car. So not in the best mood. Go inside and sit down and get on my phone. Then I see this video is up and immediate joy came to my heart.

glad to see this video.. no idea this was going on, definitely hope its on again next years. ive had a 21' semi-v, big block with v-drive, in storage for almost 15 years, childhood dream to put my own boat together due to some family friends growing up.. paying off a couple cnc machines this year and I can finally get to some personal projects like the boat but no longer have any friends or family friends into it, so hope to attend next year and make some new friends. happy new year!

Get the smallest boat you can with the biggest engine.... my kind of racing.
Now I have to get my old flat bottom Hondo V drive back out got a new big block chevy ready to go.
the 211 boat, the 19' Hallet ss. Nice boats but you put any kind of power behind them or get up to any real speed them become a nightmare. They get real scary real quick.
Just a bit out of balance..... need more forward weight with the engine, and a little outward trim plate adjustment. Notice when he had a second person in the boat it ran a little better......Good GN racers in rough water. 140 mph in a straight line ain't bad !!!.If you get a chance to watch a race do it you will not be disappointed. Schiada boats make a nice hull.

The California laws are strict, but you can get an event or testing permit for the day.

@@johncholmes643 sure does there spanky...did it ever occur to you not ever human on the Earth knows what a v drive is I've seen inboard outboard jet drive but the inboards I've seen had transom and prop out the rear I had never heard of a v drive and was kinda like jet drives with power like these boats would throw their roosters tails like 40 foot in the air...but I apologise for not knowing what a v drive was...and probably asked the question for that very reason...dick head!

I have a 102mph bullet with a 250 Mercury PRO XS but my next boat is a vdrive with a blown or twin turbo LSX 6.0. Not sure how hard it is to build a boat like these but looking forward to starting it this sprimgm Already have the hull which is a glasstron 19 foot and motor but still collecting all nessecary pieces to have a working boat.
