You should totally check out Trello! it's a website for organizing your to do lists. I'm an audit manager for a regional firm and I'm allll about being organized. I recently discovered Trello. You can set up different boards for different clients, add notes, color coordinate, add deadlines, even give your engagement team access to select boards if you want! you can even forward an email to a Trello board...a feature I LOVE. i'm not sponsored by trello or anything, just recently discovered it myself and its saving me so much time from hand writing any lists :) cheers and happy busy season to you girl!!

This is exactly what I need. I have always had a great memory and been able to manage my workload that way but since working in a finance broker i find I am drowning in the cyclical nature. Nothing ever seems to be completed or ticked off every file is always ongoing and I need a way of managing it and free up mental space

Hey Angel, I actually worked with a senior at my big four firm that had couple tattoos and several piercings. She is not judged on her appearance but on her work ethic and as a leader. That is what matters and if you can make the firms see those qualities in you, you'll be fine.

How long do you usually keep the same clients?
I'd stay on clients for a few years at a time. If they like you and you get along with the team, firms will usually try to keep consistency on each client. Handful of clients I only did for 1 or 2 audits because I had open time.

Have you ever noticed someone go into a meeting looking unprofessional? And if so what were the repurcussions?
I feel like it's not your place to worry about what other people are & aren't wearing in a corporate setting, first of all. You aren't hired to be the fashion police, you're hired to do your job. If someone else chooses to present themselves in a way that isn't flattering and doesn't show themselves in the best light then that's on them- and if they're passed up for potential advancement or denied certain privileges then it is what it is. But it's not your job to make sure they get punished, don't worry about what does/doesn't happen to them. If it's YOU, then dress better. If not, don't concern yourself with others' affairs.
ApplesThatRead usually if someone is inappropriate (clothes too tight, too short, see through clothing, cleavage etc.,) someone from HR would talk to them. At least thats how it was in the Big 4 firm I was in.
