  • I accidentally managed to get myself mixed up in a biker gang ride-out!
    It's a long title I know, but this is all about bikes and kit. I smashed my GoPro 10 in a little accident filming the last episode. I wasn't too upset about it as it has been a nightmare for the most part - battery pulls, freezing up just when I needed to to record, it's been a tense relationship with the GoPro. I've secretly always wanted a DJI Action 4, it just seems better with a mount system that is so much less fussy and annoying. It also integrates with the DJI Microphone 2 which I use with the Osmo Pocket 3. You'll see and hear from the footage that this camera and microphone set up are amazing and work so well together.
    I took a trip to theWeston Bike night to have a look at some bikes, try out the new kit and burn some fuel. It was very much needed.

    Great video! They also had the Thunderbird Sport, which was a performance version of the Thunderbird. As far as I can tell, it is the only model of that platform that had significant differences to the others. Dual front discs, improved suspension, more power, 3-into-2 exhaust with stacked mufflers, and apparently a higher seat height.The difference in the others seems to be the amount of chrome and type of handlebars, and shape of the seat. The Thunderbird Sport is still one of the best looking bikes Triumph has made since their relaunch in the 90s, in my opinion!

      The Sport is a really good looking bike for sure. They managed to keep the retro look and still make it look a bit sporty. Thanks for the comment mate, appreciate it.

    I had a 1998 Adventurer, the same as yours and the legend but all chrome engine and the sort of chopper rear mudguard, different flared silencers, there was a problem with mine. It would vibrate horrible between 3-4 k revs and then sometimes it was as smooth as silk, but mostly vibrate horrible, had to change it after 2 months, otherwise liked the handling the style the sound, shame i had bought a duff one.

    Congrats on the new cam! The legend have a lower seat height. But yeah very much the same. Strong engine :) I don't think the one in your video have the stock seat - actually looks like a TB seat.

      @thebristolthunderbird  10 днів тому +2

      @@thebristolthunderbird The Legend was produced from 1999 to 2001 and was slightly cheaper (lots of chrome replaced by flat black). I don't know about any market differences, they can be found in both Europe and US. I think the Thunderbird was actually made to please the US market with it's cruiser style handlebar and 16" rear tyre. Apart form the lower seat height the Legend have 17" rims with radials front and rear, a slightly different handlebar and reverse cone mufflers instead of the peashooters. Engine is the same and with the same 5 speed gearbox. Both are some of the best looking Triumphs from the T300 series, and build to last :)
