I struggled with working with my balding hair or shaving. I got comments about how i was balding but when i shaved, I got a lot of people asking me why did I do that. I finally realized i just look better with some hair. I grew a pretty epic beard and that helped too. I'm almost 50 now so whatever.

Once you are over 30 I think the advice for shaving your head becomes a lot more valid. The problem with doing it in your 20s is it makes you look like you are in your 30s whereas when you shave your head in your 30s it no longer ages you up 10 years.

I would say if you are bald and look good then you will receive positive feedback. If you look bad bald then you will receive negative feedback. It’s odd when I buzz my head no one cares but when I shaved against the grain then people just said negative things or gave me strange looks (I could see it in their faces when they looked at me).

I'm partially bald and it has no effect on dating. Just own it as a fact of life and get on with the important stuff. It doesn't change your performance in bed or your personality, if you have a secure sense of self.

You get bad side effects from fin.) shaving can be an option. Imo NW 0-1 ideal, NW (2-3) not ideal but not over. Anything above I’d argue save it (hair loss stack and/or transplant) or shave it. A shaved head will look a bit cleaner than NW 4+ (good example is Zidane when he decided to shave.)

Thanks Hunter! That's a good question. I try to workout a lot. I try to be in the gym lifting at least 3 times a week and I like to go on hikes and get out in nature. That usually helps me deal with stress the most I would say. As far as dealing with assholes, I would just limit your time around them and stand up for yourself if they are trying to criticize you.

Im making one last effort to grow the hair with active follicles. 2 years is all im giving it. If that fails, im getting a hair piece. At least i can look somewhat human in public. Both aren't great options. I would say it depends on how bad the visible balding is. When I was a Norwood 4, it looked terrible so I decided to shave it. I would say shaving it completely is better than a NW4+ balding look.

Imo NW 0-1 ideal, NW (2-3) not ideal but not over. Anything above I’d argue save it (hair loss stack and/or transplant) or shave it. A shaved head will look a bit cleaner than NW 4+ (good example is Zidane when he decided to shave.)
Agreed! Shaving it can definitely be an option although not ideal. Having a shaved head will almost always look better than a grown out NW4+. I can personally attest to this.

Thanks Hunter! That's a good question. I try to workout a lot. I try to be in the gym lifting at least 3 times a week and I like to go on hikes and get out in nature. That usually helps me deal with stress the most I would say. As far as dealing with assholes, I would just limit your time around them and stand up for yourself if they are trying to criticize you.

Hmm I'd have to disagree. I had zero money when I graduated college and a ton of student loan debt and I definitely lived paycheck to paycheck for a good few years and it was not fun. Having a good amount of money gives you security, stability and more peace of mind at least in my opinion.

Im making one last effort to grow the hair with active follicles. 2 years is all im giving it. If that fails, im getting a hair piece. At least i can look somewhat human in public. Both aren't great options. I would say it depends on how bad the visible balding is. When I was a Norwood 4, it looked terrible so I decided to shave it. I would say shaving it completely is better than a NW4+ balding look.
@@ascended266 well I managed to avoid MPB. I was widows peaking instead. But my hair was always so damn soft and lacked volume that it was a pain to style. I wonder if it’s worse having super soft hair or super coarse hair. I think we’re all so obsessed with just having it that we overlook what hair actually looks like on us. I’ve been shaving my head on and off since I was a teen, so it helped with the transition to no hair life. But I’d still prefer to have hair even if id be constantly buzzing it. I guess that only further reinforces how important hair is, lol, that just having proof of a strong hairline makes you look better. 😂
