    Poor little dude. My daddy worked me like a convict at the ranch. Can to can’t, 7 days a week. It was hard but at 65, I realize it gave me confidence and skills I use to this day on the same Texas Ranch. But I know my situation was much better than that little guy.

    This man in this video is an educated man. He is light years ahead of so many other videos I have seen coming out of Pakistan and India.this man built a high quality machine that must be square and parallel and have sliding parts that cannot bind up. Welded out with a noisy welder and if these people watch and learn, they too can master the skills needed to build this machine and many other variants of this or more. So many people don't have the opportunity to do this work shown in this video and don't understand the principals of geometry and skills involved in this manufacturing process. The people in this factory are blessed to have this teacher if they are willing to put effort into learning what he is showing and doing. To be honest, this is one of the absolute smartest men I have seen in hundreds of videos I have watched. I also see he is a devout Muslim. He must be a pillar of his community and Mosque. Good on him.

      Thank you very much for the compliment. Glad to read your comment. You are absolutely right because while I was shooting this video, this person told me that accuracy is very important in this machine. He says, this machine will not work properly if its frame, or the shafts used for slides are not parallel.
      I will definitely convey your thoughts to this person. Thanks

    Is it safe to weld with your eyes closed?
    Not only will you be unable to see you work, but the UV rays from the arc will go straight through you eyelids and burn out your eyeballs themselves. This is not a recommended technique for protecting your eyes. A much better idea would be to use a welding helmet and see longer.

The other things that are amazing are that they sit 90% of the time they're working, they have no boots, and they employ kids that look like they're 12 years old. Also, not to mention they use welding helmets that my great great grandparents used in the 1900s, and they're broken, lol. They probably wouldn't know what to do with an auto helmet.

    Surely if they can afford side grinders they could afford a pair of shoes. They also must have auto darkening eyeballs. Those torch glasses aren't doing a thing for his eyes.

    It's been decades since I did stick welding in high school. Any reason why sometimes they strike an arc first somewhere random before doing the weld and other times not.

    • @ManVSMachineHD
      @ManVSMachineHD  2 роки тому

      No, there is no special reason for that. They just got used to it. These people check if the wire is attached and the arc is working or not.

    • @rayfalcon777
      @rayfalcon777 2 роки тому

      Yes alot of people including myself strike in another place for several reasons to check for ground and current flow , also in case the rod sticks or messes up it wont destroy the immediate work area that is already in progress and it helps to slightly heat the metal on the way to the work area, some do it out of habit from working on huge parts or pipeline construction or pipeline welding tests

    Sunglasses *DO NOT* protect your eyes when welding. And they *AREN'T* welding glasses if you can see through them clearly before you start welding. And I shouldn't have to say this but, *Closing your Eyelids DOESN'T IN ANY WAY AT ALL protect your eyes either when welding (which should be obvious to anyone with half a brain).* At this point it's hard to know if they are stupid and know the dangers and just do it anyhow. Or just ignorant of the dangers because they've been lied to by someone who showed them how to do the job.
