The whole ending part between Shang-Chi & Wen Wu is so good. Very little is said and it’s almost entirely visual storytelling. From Tony Leung’s legendary emotive eyes to how each martial arts sequence by Shang-Chi shows his character arc in consolidating the legacies of both his parents, without a single word ever needing to be said out loud about it. Even the finishing move Shang-Chi kills the Dweller in Darkness with is a callback to his father’s fiercest attack. Gorgeous, epic, and mesmerizing. Everything I love about movies.

Here is my theory on all of this. The fact that the Rings are sending out a signal means that they were made to do that, and since the signal is being broadcast into space, it means the Rings are extraterrestrial in origin. Since they are only now sending out the signal, that is after the Rings are transformed, it means that whoever made the Rings wanted to know when that transformation took place. This has to be a significant event, something that signals a major change on Earth. So who made them and why? The color of the transformed Ring is gold, the same color as the energy of the Eternals. The Eternals are AI constructs that the Celestials created in order to combat the Deviants so they may have made the Rings at the same time. Reversing the blip caused enough psychic energy to be released that the Deviants are once again active which in turn activates the Eternals because that is why they were made. The Rings are probably signaling to the Celestials that the event they were looking for is about to occur on the Earth. This event may actually be the birth of a new Celestial since the Celestials are born from planets and there may be a Celestial in Earth about ready to be born. The Rings are probably tapping into that Celestial energy within the Earth and have transformed because that energy has reached a critical point where the Celestial is about to be born. When that critical energy level is reached, the Rings may have been designed to send out a notification. The Celestials are probably on their way to Earth after receiving the signal. Shang-Chi is an Avenger so it all may be related. I think the Eternals and the Avengers may have to battle the Celestials to save Earth from destruction by preventing the Celestial from being born. Of course, I am probably wrong in all of this, but it is my best guess at the moment.

Just watched this movie and man was it a great example of scamming an old man. So messed up. I loved the scenes with the dad and mom, those were the best parts of the movie for me. Also his real confession to Katie was really well done (though again that ties into the mom so). Still don't understand why they didn't give the masked guy the one armed guys role in the movie, seemed like an odd choice considering how tied to Shang Chi's childhood the masked guy was. Then they could've had him fight the sister because there's no way there's no back story between them. This movie also could've been a lot more interesting without tying it into marvel lol.
wish this video couldve talked about the second end credit scene my points are as such : Xia Ling didn't shut down Wen Wu's operations like what she told Shang Chi but actually took it as her own empire OR another interpretation was she just made it more inclusive to all genders. So I'm sitting here thinking that maybe she could be a future villain or something in the MCU as now she has the Ten Rings army under her command and this made me sad cause she was my favourite character. But I'm not sure if she LEGIT took the Army for evil, I mean I also lowkey don't trust her when she ran off with her henchmen during the scene at the beginning when Shang Chi and her were talking about Wen Wu and were disrupted by Wen Wu's army in Xia Ling's dark web fighting rink or something. What do yall think? Do yall think she'll turn bad?
She didn't just take over her Dad's organization, she expanded it with her fight club organization. They showed Black Widows training beside her father's goons. We had almost forgotten that she had made herself a crime lord in Macao at 16. She is a force to be reckoned with that I hope they don't just throw away.
I love that you also support The Paper Tigers! We need to support good martial arts movies, big and small (but especially small). PS: I enjoyed the heck out of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
I did wonder if Marvel/Disney would have the guts to make Awkafina's character a genuine love interest but all they did was hint. Idk I would've liked to see a non-stereotypically attractive female love interest
One would assume that making his closest female friend his love interest straightaway is a little cliched out. I’m not sure a romantic relationship, or the lack thereof, has anything to with how “non-stereotypically attractive” Akwafina’s character is.
Akwafina is hardly unattractive anyway, and I think having a strong best friend relationship between a man and woman that isn't romantic in any way is more interesting and subversive than, "protag is attracted to someone who isn't an 11/10".
Considering the characters have been friends for 10 years prior, it might feel forced for them to become love interest. I personally like that they kept it platonic opposite gender relationship rather than force romance into a movie that did not really need it.
@@vmaxlax I don't disagree, I just thought it could be a cool subversion of Hollywood tropes(Awkafina deserves better than to just be comic relief IMO), but I don't mind either way. Maybe with another character.
That ABC line flew by me at first and then I was like, "fuck you Ronny Cheing. Been fighting this ABCD label my entire life. Don't need to hear it in a Marvel movie." But like humorously cause *that* makes a person feel seen.
WAIT, It wasn’t till just now I realised that the dragon from that Raya movie was Awkwafina, I always thought it was that one redhead from Orange is the new Black
@who cares theres schools with funding that don't require them to have school fund raising by buying choc. Theres kids who aren't forced to eat once a day if not at all and don't have to wear a spring jacket in 30 degree winter. Theres kids who don't have insurance so if they break an arm or get sick the parents do a "home remedy". Even now my old school is feeding "breakfast mac and cheese" and encouraged the parents to make the students a lunch when school was the one place we knew our kids could have a meal

This movie also could've been a lot more interesting without tying it into marvel lol.
wish this video couldve talked about the second end credit scene
my points are as such :
Xia Ling didn't shut down Wen Wu's operations like what she told Shang Chi but actually took it as her own empire OR another interpretation was she just made it more inclusive to all genders.
Lol “Kate’s Convenience” and the “In the Mood For Love” puns made me laugh
I love that you also support The Paper Tigers! We need to support good martial arts movies, big and small (but especially small). PS: I enjoyed the heck out of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
I thought this would just be a grounded martial arts movie, but Shang-Chi ended up having a pet dragon lmao
love how you tried to sneak those Tony Leung film references in
I was seriously surprised how funny this was
The story and the action scene brings back memory of old Hong Kong movie this was so good it made me cry I truly enjoy every second of it
14:57 Blips dating to get blopped. Now I've seen everything.
Shoutout to the Director for being at the hospitals and directing on the phone
Same!
@@vmaxlax I don't disagree, I just thought it could be a cool subversion of Hollywood tropes(Awkafina deserves better than to just be comic relief IMO), but I don't mind either way. Maybe with another character.
Oh man, your story wrap up at minute 9 had me teary eyed; was not expecting that. Seen the movie 4x already and it only gets better & better.
That ABC line flew by me at first and then I was like, "fuck you Ronny Cheing. Been fighting this ABCD label my entire life. Don't need to hear it in a Marvel movie." But like humorously cause *that* makes a person feel seen.
The wordplay in this video was on the next level
WAIT, It wasn’t till just now I realised that the dragon from that Raya movie was Awkwafina, I always thought it was that one redhead from Orange is the new Black
Erika Ishii really kept herself in check on the carpet, but she was mad excited on IG and Twitter about getting the chance.
So that explains how the Sanctum still has power. Wong is once again awesome.
5:42 "the whole set was in the mood for love" 👏👏👏👏👏
"Your dreams can come true if you fight for it"
Me in the poverty: Nah, thats called having an advantage paired with luck😂
I just like changing my dream to something more attainable after a while :)
Love how they basically used the plot of the campaign for Destiny 2: Forsaken for Wenwu’s motivation. I don’t think it was on purpose, but it’s still really cool.
AMAZING movie. I was pleasantly surprised
Finally watched the movie so I can watch this video.
And thank you thank thank you for the amountbf Tony Leung movies reference in your lme. As his die hard fans I teared up.
When he talks about the guy on the bus that moved from New York to San Francisco, I understood that reference.
Explain it to me, please!
@@JemiLover3000 the guy with the phone that was livestreaming is the same guy in spiderman homecoming who said to spiderman to do a flip
epitome of good action. marvel will never top this again
They definitely can
I am a Chinese person born in 2000, and 2000 is the year of the dragon, not 1998. But this was a great video and I’m so in love with this movie!
"pretty cool suit, but not as clean as the one this man rocked on the red carpet" 😂😂 agreed. Kudos to that designer and stylist.
Listennnn... what if is a lot better than I expected lol
The year of the dragon is 2000, 1998 is the year of the tiger
I loved this movie
I really really enjoyed this movie so much - I also related to the father so much.
Adiós hermano 😆😆😆..what was that. Sounded like someone else is trying to get an audition for Marvel😆 it was good though..
This was an awesome breakdown. All of them are great but when you connect the emotions to the character and what they are trying to do or say, THAT'S WHAT SEPARATES YOU FROM THE REST. I don't hear breakdowns like the way do it anywhere!!!
Ps My son's birthday was yesterday(cause we both still watch your videos)and i said, look even "listen said happy birthday(he calls you "listen") so i spliced up listen and a time you said happy birthday. HE WAS EXCITED. 7 years old❤
One of my favorite movies
All round great film I Love The abomination cameo And Ben Kingsley returning
I watch the movie Monday and it was amazing you gotta watch it
I don’t usually like marvel movies but I loved this
My only complaint about Shang Chi is that it just further highlighted how bad Iron Fist failed.
This movie was *amazing*. Great to see Shang Chi getting love. Can't wait to see him in more movies.
12:43 yaaaas Mr Yoon!!!! LEGENDARY
Ma duuud, you're HILARIOUS!!! 🤣🤣
love this
