SHIELD RMSC STRESS TEST - IS IT WORTH IT?!?!?!??! Today we are going to put this sight through some tests!!! I wouldn't call it a true torture test, but it wont be easy for this sight to keep zero! Lets see if this is really worth it, and if it can withstand some elements you may run into!

I love these 'compact' sights, so much so I've bought 3 of them. The ambient light sensor is the best I've seen with instant auto adjust that is the perfect brightness for daylight, night, or dusk. I also like that 8 MOA is available for quick acquisition. Nice to know they're tough too. Thanks for the video.

This review actually makes me feel bad for the sight. Anyhow just bought a used shield plus that came with the Shield Mini Reflex Compact Sight and I love it. Always on and auto adjust - it's the best.
We drop our (empty) guns in training to prove a point all the time. If your gun can't handle being dropped from chest height on the ground you need to get a different gun.....
Plus you need to engrain in your thinking not to try and catch a dropped gun.....just let it fall. Trying to catch them will get you shot.
Great video! It’s an LED (red dot) not a laser (holographic sight), right? Would you mount it on a shotgun?

I tried my damndest to destroy this thing and I couldn't. Check out my torture test video on the Dove Mount, this sight is used. I don't think the blast on a shotgun would rattle it so you should be good!
Also, this is a red dot reflecting on the glass, not a holographic sight. You are correct.

How long does the battery last and I'm guessing the sight has to be removed to change out the battery?
It does but it's has a HUGE battery life. Having a sight like this, with the quality of the frame and glass for that price point is amazing. Some of the things to keep the price as low as it is, is doing a bottom instal for the battery. I'd rather take 2 screws out to change a battery once every few years than spend a ton more money for a side door for it.
I carry my glock 43 every day and my glock 17 when going into the woods and i have yet to change the battery in any of mine. This is also onto of shooting hundreds of rounds almost weekly

@@jeffofalltrades8489 I have 2 holosun 407k and feel like the RMSc has clearer glass and a minimalist design for a better view. Which do you prefer?
@rickyirivera the Shield, In my opinion, is better than the holosun. The clarity in the glass is a no brainer for me

Coming from someone that has one mounted on their 43X, it's a very solid and reliable optic for sure. I was fortunate enough to find a brand new Glock 43X MOS with the Shield RMSc pre-installed when I bought it almost exactly one year ago and pretty much have nothing bad to say about it. The only negative thing about it I can think of is I think there are better looking reflex sights out on the market right now for pistols, but that's literally just my personal opinion so take that for what it's worth. The red dot has held zero for me pretty well so far, and for being on my main concealed carry gun, it's held up well to the elements.

In what sense? I haven't done a stress test on the Holosun if that's what you're asking.
