    That looks like the perfect trail for testing their new ebike line up. If they can stand up to that kind of abuse, they can handle pretty much anything. Those rocks are worse than tree roots. Thanks for sharing your experience. 👍

    A 48v 14ah battery is completely inadequate for a 26x4, particularly one marketed for off road use where you burn more energy on loose terrain and going up hills. You’d have range anxiety after about 10 miles. 48v 20ah is the minimum in todays market with many offering higher. Only die hard Lectric fans will buy this, others will do a little research and see how weak this bike is versus the numerous competitors.

    Wish they had one of these when I ordered my XP 2.0. My husband is a big guy so he wanted something like this….we settled on the Rad Rover 6+ and it’s already been through 3 batteries that have bricked. While my XP 2.0 is been wonderful and bulletproof

    Thank you for showing the behind the scenes so we can get in on the experience.
    TBH I am a little disappointed... the market is flooded with Heavy Fat Tire eBikes already. The Xpeak's saving grace is value but definitely not as compelling like the dual battery Xpedition or Trike.
    I wish Lectric would offer a product that solved a problem like... eliminating flat tires, improve safety, improve the image of eBikes.

    Like the bike but those seats have to go! like sitting on a rock, step thru for me. great video Chris! I live about 30 miles to the west and need to try it out, mis there too much bounce in the forks? or is it ok?

    Love the video, question for you. Comparing this to the Aventon Aventure 2. Will the xpeak be far better for offroad and hill climbs ? I like the range better on the Aventure 2 but I have heard the front fork is not the best. Thanks for the info !!

    • @ChrisCrossed
      @ChrisCrossed  7 місяців тому +1

      I've ridden both, I think the XPeak will be slightly better on trail riding. I think the Aventure fork is ok but the XPeak's is supposed to be better. is

    Test road the xpeak the other day. It was a fun pkg and for its price point it was just about right. Only other low price point bike I would consider is the 60v wired freedom however I heard the motor can shut down on terrain like this and the frame does not appear as strong as the xpeak. Can anyone chime in on this ?

    • @ChrisCrossed
      @ChrisCrossed  7 місяців тому +1

      With the Wired i probably would not do a lot of off roading like i did with the XPeak in the desert. The XPeak is built just for off roading so I'd save the Wired for tamer trails and streets.

      Please apparently have the same shifting system as their other bikes. Disappointed that's not more mountain bikes specific with better thumb, shifting and Dior derailers. But I don't mind working on them and can be upgraded. Is it likely we will see aftermarket 20 amp hour batteries for this?

    No offense to you or your channel but this bike is a joke. There is nothing "off road" about it. The forks are not $400 forks. Having a rear hub on a mountain bike is ridiculous. This is so disappointing.

    • @ChrisCrossed
      @ChrisCrossed  8 місяців тому +2

      It worked well on those trails. Can’t make a mid drive for that price point so have to use hub.

    • @garrettfowler4067
      @garrettfowler4067 7 місяців тому

      I went to their corporate location and test road the demo. I was actually surprised what it would do. I also later road a Trance emtb that was $5600 bike mid drive and it would blow this away but not in comfort. The xpeak was far more simple, fun and comfortable. So it’s just what you want. I did wish the motor had more top end power and a bigger battery. I wish they would put the wired freedom 60v setup on this as I feel the frame is pretty nice. I live in this area and have ridden dirt bikes that blow all of this away. Our roads out here can be step, rocky and unforgiving. And they are closing down trails fast to gas powered dirt bikes. So this just may fit the bill for now. Be cool to see it evolve over time.
