Regarding thefan switch, it's fairly common, all that cable does is puts a flap over the vent hole throughthe bulkhead, so designed for a wading sater stop, but it's not really effective, it is the side lever on the heater box. The top is hot/cold air and to the wing is hot, that cable also kinks and fails to move off cold. The master light switch has 2 versions, pre and post 1997, there were a lot of electrical changes then. As far as low spec, it's actually a good thing, although all the wiring will be there for the rear wiper and heated rear screen, it win't be in the back door so can be added if desired. I would suggest creature comforts like the heated seats and heated front screen, they are well worth it, don't put a lift on it as that alters how it drives learn to use it as is, it's more than capable, you've done the best mod for general lanes etc in the tyres. Depending what you're going to mainly use it for, diesel heater if winter camping, insulate and sound deaden, other than that, it's fairly good as it is. I like the 300tdi, so that's my moneypit, on the toys, when finished will be heated seats, heated screen, heated mirrors, diesel heater, wlec windows x4 (as originally SW but now DC) additional spots and fogs, cruise control and auto box as I'm a bit lazy! 😛Winch is factory and compressor. I think that is the basics, there are other things that I'm not wanting to state on here too. Switches in the dash are spotlamp (or Stability program "off" if a tdci after 2014), heated front screen, heated rear screen, rear wiper, rear washer, fog. there are a few aftermarket switches you can get as well as D2/tdci switches, I think I have about 20 designs for this and that... winch and compressor etc... If you do add heated seats, D2 switches are pretty much identical.
Wow thats a lot of info, you’ve been around a few Land rovers i reckon 😅 heated seats and screen would be amazing! No I’m not lifting it, I’ve had a lifted truck before and it was terrible, wouldnt touch one again. Sounds like youve got lots of work to do on yours. Will be a interesting motor when done by the sounds of it 👌🏻 Thats really handy info on the switches etc. i may be asking for a bit more help from you one day 👍🏼
Mods I did were a Dixon fabrication front a frame bumper and Dixon fab rock sliders. They look really meaty. Also bought a tuff trek roof tent. I’d like the camper bit inside to be more of a living space I/ day van if the weather is grim.
Here for the Land Rover content ! More of it please.
Awesome! Thanks so much for sticking around 👌🏼 very much appreciate my friend

Got a virtually identical one but on a 2004. I’ve had the roof done in black as it was peeling anyway. Currently undergoing a camper conversion.
Thats awesome, sounds like you’re treating him/her very well 👌🏼
Yeah my roof is peeling too, think I’ll keep it white when i get round to it.
