I can’t remember the last time I changed my injector harness on my Disco 2 Thor V8. 😁 I enjoy your Defender videos and the clean engine bay mate! Cheers from Suffolk! 🇺🇸🏴
Hi there Simon Thanks for watching my video very much appreciated... I wish I had done a video on the oil breather catch can very easily fit... I did post it on my Instagram a few years back sorry no video... cheers Rob 👍
Have you known this to cause the check engine light to appear on the dash? Trying to diagnose mine… it starts to jerk and then it’ll flag up the light…
Yes, it can cause problems like that... if the oil gets into the wire, harness causes the injectors not to fire properly with the Td5 ECU. Sometimes, you can get bad fuel, which will cause problems like jerking... crankcase sensor also... sometimes, just start off with the basics and work your way through. Hopefully, you will get sorted cheers, Rob 👍
Hi Dan, yeah you can do that... I just used brake cleaner on the outside of the Td5 rock cover but if you're going to be doing any electrical parts just make sure you use electrical cleaner but it not necessary as the injector harness clips over the top of the injector on the Td5... Thanks for your message I hope you find it helpful Cheers Rob...👍
Doing mine tomorrow, brilliant video mate 👍👍

A plane with a td5 engine, is there anything better than that?! 😍
Good job 👍🏻
Thanks, just take your time it is a very easy job...👍
Just done mine but sealed the end first to prevent oil getting into the wires to where they always fail.
Nice one...👍
Great video thanks. Have you done a video on the oil breather catcher you have fitted, as looking to do the same?

Hi Rob, is it worth cleaning the injector heads when you’ve taken the harness off? I’m due to do mine in a couple of days
