how does this 'last' you for ~4 days? when you go to bed at night after doing this isn't your hair just super messy and unruly the next morning? i have similar hair to you and follow a similar styling process, but i feel like i need to re-shower and re-apply my cream everyday if i want me hair to look good..
I used to have the same problem but I bought a satin or silk pillowcase and it don't affect my hair the next day is just a little loose but very similar to the previous day I think a bonet works too

The water allows it to be flexible again and style. Are you saying for the next few days you don't rinse and restyle again, you just leave it as it is, or retouch?
Same boat here. Idk if it's bad to wet it everyday but I can usually manage it without fully getting it wet in the shower and just use a spray bottle to get some of that flexibility back. Then use a small amount of leave in.

Sometimes I put in a little leave in conditioner to re-tame the flyaways, but this has helped me go an extra couple days without washing it and it usually looks best on day 2-3.

There isn’t a certain hairstyle you have to get, but if you want you can take reference by looking at his older videos when his hair was shorter and cut it like that. But don’t expect it to look like his if your hair type isn’t similar.
The sweet spot for me is definitely a glory hole as well. Not paying a crazy high price but also getting a lot of product for the money, in a glory hole.

you rewet your hair because most hair products reactivate when wet and put a small amount of holding product to just keep fly aways at bay.
